Intel Retail Edge "Summer Deal" 2014

LOL.... You are speaking about Intel fans? This has nothing to do with being an Intel fan. It has to do with reading the agreement that you clicked OK to prior to purchasing through the retail edge program. And within that agreement, you will find that it states you are not supposed to sell your processor.

The only one who seems to have a problem here is you. And it seems it may be a learning disability.

Sadly this type of behavior against the tos will probably force intel to change the rules. I'm not saying today or tommorrow but yes eventually.

Anyways a buddy of mine is excited, his first build since working in retail, and boy does he need. Upgrading from a athlon x2 lol. He's bought his build, all that's remaining is the 4930k lol.

You guys and your bickering about selling the cpu's being against the TOS.
I've already mentioned it once in this thread. All those game codes that come with gpus aren't to be sold yet people sell them here all the time. Which is against the TOS of the game redemtion rules.

Mods won't do anything about it because they don't mandate other companies laws/rules/legal jargan.

They may close the thread because of the discussion of such things as selling but that is all they will do. If they do close the thread what is it going to hurt anyway. The notice about the Edge program has come and gone. The thread is useless now anyway. Those that are getting in on it are in on it. Those that are going to purchase one for what ever reason have done so. Let an old dog die stop complaining and move on.

Whoa, let's keep things civil here. I think there's a lot of grey here, and not the learning disability kind. Whether right or wrong, I think a lot of us "technically" violate some terms of services. No need to pass judgement here. For example, I have purchased many OEM copies of windows for personal use., even though I am not an OEM. It's also common for many "Terms of Services" include language that prohibit customers from suing the manufacturer (Class Action or not), yet our courts continue to allow it.

Yes, I would agree we all have, but read through the dudes posts and you might understand a bit better.

To boot, its always been pretty common knowledge to not talk about buying/selling these. Whether you do it or not, who gives a shit but dont get a thread locked because you want to blabb your business to everyone. I could really careless what someone does with their CPU, just keep it to yourself.

I know the guy above stated this thread is useless but a lot of people like to know when they ship out and kind of when they can expect them so keeping the thread open is still useful.

I picked up a Sabertooth Z97 for this chip =)
Went with the Sabertooth because it's ASUS and dual lan ports..
figure it would be worth the upgrade since some guy said games were smoother with this chip compared to his AMD FX 8120

My 4930k arrived today. Installed it over lunch break.

May have some time to do overclocking tonight.

mine just got dropped off must say im not a fan of fed ex shipping the box was destroyed

I personally loathe fedex with a passion, they are the only company I know that will deliver a package and then the very next day when another package needs to be delivered mark that the address doesn't exist... Or they will put a package on a truck 4 days in a row and mark it as "did not attempt to deliver" every day... Or they will punch a hole in a $1000 monitor and leave it on my porch with no signature when it was clearly shipped as having to be signed for... I personally will never ever use fedex if I don't have to.

Just got an email from Intel

SUMMER DEAL ENDS SOON!

This is your last chance to purchase your Summer Deal. Time is of the essence. We could sell out at any moment. Get yours before we close the doors on this Deal forever.

Got my 4930k yesterday, along with my Sabertooth installed works like a charm. no hiccups at all.

I gotta say its huge compared to my 2600k. Very happy

Hmmph I ordered on the 15th, still no email, no tracking found searching by reference on fedex.com

4770K Arrived today. Picked up a Maximus VII Hero (spontaneously still don't know if I made the right decision) at Micro Center while I was out. Will get everything setup tomorrow.

Did you get a shipping email or anything? I ordered a while back and have gotten nothing at all, been wondering if it will just randomly show up.

Im curious too.
Some people say they get their package before they get the shipping confirmation email.

Yeah same here, I still can't find tracking or anything searching by reference, ordered the 15th though. My card's definitely charged...

Edit: shipped today, no emails from Intel. But I was able to find it on the FedEx Tracking page where it shows deliveries created for my address.

If anyone here is eligible but not making a purchase, please message me if you would be so gracious as to allow me to order through you.

This site is the bomb I watched like 150 videos 55,000+ points have enough points to get a Soda Stream Machine for free!!! didn't even have to pay for the shipping unlike the CPU last summer. I must admit though the people on the site are a little greedy like they want the 8 core Intel to be on sale for Winter =)
Which would be crazy if they did that I wouldn't even upgrade if it was. The stuff in the store is what makes the site worthwhile with 270,000 points you can get like a PS4 or for 67,000 points you can get a Steel Series MLG mouse or a Steel Series Apex keyboard. They updated the store like a few weeks back.

I must admit the training on that site is really hard I got past the Associate training but couldn't past the specialist kept on screwing up the questions are skewed and the answer isn't always obvious.

So if you work in Retail it's worth your time =) I wish I knew about the site back in 2002 when if first started up! But then I would of been on the CPU upgrade treadmill and kept on upgrading which would of been costly in the long run. Plus I would have been fully brainwashed by Intel by then....
