  • Amnesia: The Dark Descent
  • Psychonauts
  • Limbo
  • Superbrothers: Swords & Sworcery
  • Bastion - If you pay over the average

This is probably the most impressive list of games I've seen offered in an Indie bundle so thought I'd post it since I haven't seen any indie bundles on here in a while. This is definitely one you'll want to spend more than the average on if you don't already own Bastion.

Oh lame, I just picked up LIMBO for $4 on Steam.

Maybe I'll get this anyway. However, I already have Bastion so I guess I can pay whatever.

The whole idea that they're cross platform is what intrigues me the most. Its not that I own a Mac or utilize a Linux box. but buying something ONCE and not having to buy it again on another platform is amazing. I wish everything were like that...

Very nice...I only owned Amnesia...I have probably 30 games from these bundles, and I have only played one game for like an hour...I have such a back log..

Nice move by limbo, do a steam sale right before you go into a bundle.

Wow i think i will be picking this up. For sure this is the best bundle yet as far as this guy is concerned.

Sweet. I have none of them. :D

I'm going to wait and see if the average goes down though.

Don't miss the newish "Pay $1 or more and you’ll get a Steam key...."

Not that its a Big big deal, just saying though... They used to be included.

Anyway, really only want Bastion, have most of the others. Over $8 is too much for a toss it in the backlog game for me.

Just wait for Bastion to go on sale. I think I got it for like $5 or something at some point.

Didn't know that about the Steam keys, but I never pay just $1 or less anyway. :p

i own 3 of these games already, but am buying it anyway because i had sword and sorcery on my list. i'd say this is the best bundle released to date. bastion is worth that price alone.

Are you able to gift the games you already have in steam? I have three of these but the wife doesn't so it would be nice to throw the extras at her.

No.

EDIT: Unfortunately they don't tell you that anywhere on the page before you buy as far as I can tell, but when you go to get the Steam key after buying it says it.

pay $1 and give your wife the bundle too.

unfortunately you can't gift individual games. in previous bundles, you basically got one steam key that activated all the games on your steam account.

Which blows. I'd pick this up and keep Super Brothers for myself and give family and friends the others since I already own them. Instead I'll just skip it entirely. I prefer how the Indie Royale guys do it. Individual Steam keys for each game make so much more sense.

Yeah, essentially I bought this for Amnesia and maybe that Super Brothers game (which I've never heard of) since I've either played or own all the other games. Would be nice to get individual keys and give the duplicates away.

Average is up to $7.39 at the moment (it was $8-something earlier).

Are these for steam activation or they download and install?

Did you even bother to read the thread?

Yes, there are optional Steam keys, one for Bastion (presumably) and one for the rest of the games combined.

Also, right on the front page of the bundle:

Unlock on Steam.

Pay $1 or more and you’ll
get a Steam key in addition to
DRM-free direct downloads.

Will likely buy just because I pretty much always do. Usually pay $10 to help offset the cheap asses out there.

Limbo kind of depressed me though; maybe because I have a five year old son.

Awesome bundle, but like many of you I already have most of these.

I find the current stats kind of amusing:

I guess we PC gamers *are* pretty cheap, lol. We spend the least on the games, yet represent the vast majority of sales.

Funny that the smallest user-base also pays the most for these games...and the Linux crowd is bred on software being free. I guess their pockets are deeper from not spending money on all of the Steam sales, or they're happy to pay more when decent games do get Linux ports.

edit: So you can blame the Linux guys for raising the average purchase price. ;) But in all seriousness, I'm glad. These games are worth every penny of the current average, and quite honestly much more than that.

Linux pays the most every time. I moreso think it's the demographic itself though. I would say most Linux users on generally more technical; if not in software/it/etc; which on average would pay more also. I would venture so far as to say the average linux user makes more money than the average windows user..:)

Considering the demographics involved between Linux users and Windows users and the size of their respective user bases I'd call that a pretty obvious conclusion.

is it taking a fair amount of time to get your emails?

Also the payment is over compensations to prove worth or thank those that develop for the platforms where development is pretty sparse.

even though I already own all these games...purchased for the Bastion soundtrack in FLAC

Still haven't received my keys after 5 hours from payment. Hopefully I will get a chance to plan tonight!

There should been a page right after checkout with a link to the key page. Check your browser history for a page called "Humble Bundle Email"

Seems like their are some issues on their end. I purchased earlier (when volume was likely lower) and it got stuck on the "waiting for paypal" screen and I never received a purchase e-mail. However I used the "recover keys" link and put in my e-mail, this then sent me e-mail with all my previous purchases including theis one but also after a rather large delay (maybe an hour?).

On a side I still don't understand the complaints about duplicates and separate keys. Why don't you just pay less? Let's say you have Amenisa and Limbo and want to give those away, just pay $1 less then you were you going to and buy another bundle for $1? I guess you might end up having to pay slightly more due to Bastion requiring a certain amount.

Got the bundle, like limbo, aside from that just add the rest of the game to my game back log.lol:)

I don't play SP games at all, don't play indie games at all, but jumped on this for the hell of it.

Heard some good things about these games, the bundle is cheap... I'll give it a shot!
