The ability to play 720p is not 720p res.I thought nvidia was coming out with a phone that had 720p res or something like that
Me too. I have the Touch Pro on Verizon and the screen is fucking tiny for 640x480. It's pretty cool to run a desktop Terminal Session without scrolling but it's tough as nuts to read anything for a long period of time.I'm interested to see a phone that bests the touch pro 2 screen without getting ridiculous in price or size.
I think I actually prefer the looks of the original.
HTC likes to put audio/video output in the USB connector (they add 6 pins and call it ExtUSB) instead of a dedicated 3.5mm jack.my phone already has a standard size 3.5mm jack with Dolby Digital Mobile output, was not aware this was an exclusive new feature

HTC has said that CDMA is the dominate network in North America so there will no GSM phones in North America. GSM is stricly Europe/AsiaOk, here is some new info...
1. The CDMA devices.. and POSSIBLY the USA version GSM devices are getting a 3.5mm headphone jack! This includes Verizon, Sprint, Telus, US Cellular. I'm not 100% sure on T-mobile or AT&T.
I'll post things as I hear them.

I work for t-mobile and the august 15 date is listed as the release date on our computers.
I'd love to know if the 3.5mm headphone jack will be on this phone since the overseas GSM providers apparently do not have them.
I don't see why not. The only carrier that would take the jack away would be Verizon

I just bought the regular Touch Pro a month ago, so I won't be upgrading until the TP3 probably.
Although I might not want to; all they did was make the screen and keyboard bigger, add some conferencing features I would never use, and take away the camera flash (which I do use). With a built in flash(light), there's no mobile technology bragging battle your phone can't win.![]()
I would get it, if it ran on Android.
EDIT: looks like the TP2 uses an older processor than the TP1?... lol

What? They are out of their minds. CDMA is a dwindling protocol.
