Hitman

^^ I couldn't even find that with a search engine here. I want to know what happened.

Well I found Ken Morgan's body on the ground. Everybody seems to ignore the body which is hilarious:

I noticed an open window above the body:

The room is where that couple is staying that has that mic that you can use to kill Jordan Cross.

Intaresting. The mystery deepens.

I can't remember if there's a balcony above that room or not, but apparently there is a way to get Cross to kill Morgan for you.

Found out how to do it. You have to get Cross down from his suite and let him see Morgan. There's a really small window of opportunity to do it if you do the exterminator challenge and can get the two into the atrium at the same time and let Cross see Morgan.....

Or you can drop the bug spray into the ventilation shaft while both are there, quickly drag each of them under coconuts.........

I think what I did was I started the exterminator challenge but didn't actually follow through with putting in the insecticide into the air ducts. But speaking to the Hotel manager is enough to get both of them into the atrium area. And my guess is that's what led to Cross bumping into Morgan.

I did the exterminator trick as far as getting everyone into the atrium and the two targets never crossed paths. I really want to try that and see if it's possible.

I know you speak to the hotel manager in the ext. gear to set that off. Do you speak to her again after that to get the two targets to meet or is that it?

May have to try speaking with Morgan as the staffer to escort him to his suite and lead him past Cross. I tried it and couldn't make it happen, but I saw a Youtube howto video showing the player doing that and it working.

I didn't actually see them meet. All I know is that sometime later I got a message saying Morgan had died. I suspect it might be a bug.

Well I messed up the latest Illusive Target. I hate that you can't replay them if you f*ck up.
They should change that so you can redo it.
I also hate that you can't save in that mode either.

That's kind of the point of "Elusive Targets" though.....

It is but there might be a middle ground where they could have their cake and eat it, too. I had a couple of those that I just flat out flubbed and I wish there was a way I could get a re-do even if it cost me a $1 or something like that.

All I can say again at this point is: Any leftover fence sitters? Get off the fence. Any Absolution haters? It's long gone.

Any Blood Money fans? The new king is here.

Can't seem to get into this game...Anyone else feel this way? I use to be a Hitman freak. Played all the original Hitman games and loved every second of it. Hell, I even have a Hitman poster behind my gaming rig. For some reason though, The last few Hitmans have made me lose interest. I think I finished the first mission and still haven't started the second one. Just kinda Bland I guess....Suck because I bought the whole Hitman series

Personally, I kind of think the score thing ruined it for me. I still like the new game but I liked the series better when it was just, "kill these guys in a crazy way", and you aren't punished for leaving bodies out, non-target kills, etc.

Plus now it feels like progression is based around score so you are forced to grind specific things in order to unlock other cool things.

I'm not feeling that at all. Absolution was total crap, but this one is as good as Blood Money. I've spent hours wandering around the levels, listening to the stories, and just trying to find the most creative ways to kill my targets. It's been the most fun I've had in Hitman in years.

Same here. It might be my GOTY outright. Definitely on the shortlist.

You don't need to pay attention to the score, I am on the fence about unlocking items every map (starting locations are fine). I think I'd prefer just to have the objectives to hit with whatever items.

Yeah. I wouldn't pay attention to it except it seems intertwined with the progression system to some extent.

I'll admit it's been awhile since I've played, but I don't recall needing a high score to unlock anything?

You're right. It's more tied into specific accomplishments, opportunities, and feats you perform in a level.

My bad if that's the case, I thought it was tied to "Mastery Level" which is affected by score to some extent.

I admit it's been awhile since I've played it, also.

New Game Update for October 11

After the successful release of Episode 5: Colorado, we have been working on a game update that fixes some known issues, as well as some other improvements to the game in general. This update will be available starting from 13:00 CEST on Tuesday 11th October.
The expected download size for PC is 184MB.

Below is the full change list for the game update:

Known issues from Episode 5

- Agent 47 no longer gets stuck in small bushes on the “Freedom Fighters” mission in Colorado.
- Inconsistent objectives for “The Audition” opportunity are no longer an issue.
- An issue that was causing weapons to be lost when swapped, no longer occurs.

Other improvements for Episode 5

- Fixed an issue that was causing the game to crash when loading specific save games.
- Fixed an issue that could cause the game to crash after an extended combat state.
- Fixed an issue that could cause ‘aim assist’ to be inconsistent on certain characters.
- Fixed an issue where performing specific actions could lead to an extended loading state.

Fixes for other locations

- Bangkok: Playing the “Man Machine” opportunity could turn Agent 47 invisible if the drums are approached from a specific angle. 47 is no longer *that* much of a silent assassin.
- Sapienza: Agent 47 is no longer ‘enforced’ by Francesca De Santis whilst wearing the golf coach outfit and blending in during the By Candlelight opportunity.
- Sapienza: The Biolab Keycard and Mansion Keycard are no longer missing the relevant item icons.

Other General Fixes

- Minor issues relating to kill conditions in Contracts Mode have been fixed.
- Issues with the ‘Let the Game Begin’ challenge unlocking have now been fixed.
- Multiple issues relating to various game crashes have been fixed.
- Opportunities that have been missed or failed are now greyed out in the menu.

Update: here's a load more info, from the official site.

"The Hokkaido location is set within the grounds of the hyper-exclusive GAMA private hospital and resort. This secluded facility is a fusion of Japanese beauty and cutting-edge technology, featuring its own Zen gardens, organic sushi restaurant and traditional Japanese hot spring."

"Episode 6: Hokkaido features a mission called 'Situs Inversus' and is the culmination of everything players will have learnt in terms of both gameplay and story. As players have come to expect, the location will also be used for Escalation Contracts, Elusive Targets and community-created Featured Contracts. Plus, we'll have the usual array of weapon and gear unlocks that can be used across all previous locations."

Original story: Everyone's second-favourite bald assassin (after Mike from Breaking Bad) is heading to Hokkaido, Japan soon, what with Hitman's first season wrapping up in a few short weeks. As revealed by the following teaser trailer, Episode 6: Hokkaido will arrive on October 31, featuring katanas, a luxury hospital, and a big old mountain, which are not especially Halloween-y things.

We know from Hitman's Twitter page that Agent 47 has come to Hokkaido to "locate two targets at a hyper-exclusive private hospital", before presumably downgrading their conditions from 'alive' to 'dead'. Episode 6 will be the season finale of Hitman, and I'm sure we'll hear more about what's included soon.

Sweet!

It's probably my fault but I came on last night and saw that I had failed the Elusive Target. I have no idea how that could have happened. I never died or anything like that but two days prior I'd played and had to shut the game down and go away. I never died.

Either the 5 days blew by and I simply didn't keep track of it properly or something is amiss here. Too bad. I was all set to do it last night and alas, not to be.

PC-specific release notes for Episode 6

Community Announcements - TravisIOI

Earlier this week, we published the release notes for Episode 6 on our blog.
https://hitman.com/updates/episode-6-hokkaido-release-notes

Here’s an overview of what’s new for PC players, including support for DirectX12 Multi GPU and exclusive fullscreen.

- Fixed an issue that could cause framerate drops during cinematics
- Fixed an issue that caused graphic hitches on the World of Tomorrow briefing when using DX11.
- Fixed an issue that was causing lighting issues when launching a location for the first time, when using specific configurations with GTX 1080 cards.
- Fixed an issue that was causing a crash when running in 4k with supersampling.
- Other minor fixes to stability and performance.

- Added support for DirectX12 Multi GPU and exclusive fullscreen.
Multi GPU can be enabled in the Hitman Launcher (it is disabled by default).
Please note the below:

1) Currently only dual GPU configurations are supported
2) Expect highest scaling in 1440p / 2160p
3) Steam overlay is automatically disabled when using Multi GPU due to an incompatibility
4) If you experience instability, especially when toggling windowed and fullscreen mode, then disable services that provide in-game capture, such as Raptr, plays.tv, etc.

AMD specific notes:
1) Always use newest AMD drivers: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
2) AMD CrossFire must be enabled in Radeon Settings
3) Frame Pacing should be enabled in Radeon Settings for smoother framerates
4) Note that the AMD CrossFire Logo is not shown in DirectX 12 even if multiple GPUs are used

NVIDIA specific notes:
1) Always use newest NVIDA drivers: http://www.geforce.com/drivers
2) SLI must be enabled in NVIDIA Control Panel
3) Frame Pacing should be enabled automatically by the driver when using exclusive fullscreen
4) Note that SLI Visual Indicator is not shown in DirectX 12 even if multiple GPUs are used

This new mission in Japan in a top secret hospital area is UN-believable. Difficulty is up because you are forced to go in with nothing on you. HARD.

Some parts of this level are like "Hitman meets Deus Ex."

A winner, this map is.

I found that mission much easier than the last one. Just two target instead of 4 and finding a gun wasn't that hard.
I've kill both target with a HS with no innocent killed.

I need to pick this game up at some point. I am a fan of the series, played and loved the first 3 especially Blood Money (got the perfect rating on every level on the most difficult setting) but like many others here Absolution left a bitter taste.

The Elusive Target situation isn't as unmerciful as I'd feared. There is an update here and then note the last handful of sentences.

Unfortunately I don't think I've done Silent Assassin on any of 'em so..whatever I get, I get. I think I'm still mostly hosed but we'll see. It's all bonus anyways. I love this game.

Elusive Target 14 and new ET Rewards

Community Announcements - TravisIOI

The Chef is the next Elusive Target to arrive in HITMAN, and the first Elusive Target that offers up some new unlockable suits.

At 14:00 CET / 05:00 PT on Friday 18th November, we’ll update the Elusive Target tile on the Featured Hub in-game and the contract will be live. Elusive Target #14 will be in Paris for 7 days (168 hours) and there won’t be any second chances. Remember that an Elusive Target cannot be restarted once any targets have been eliminated or any objectives have been completed.

Elusive Target 14 has one objective: Eliminate Gabriel Santos

Elusive Target Rewards

For completing Elusive Targets, we have some very unique rewards that can be earned. Remember that you need to achieve all objectives and exit the mission to 'complete' the Elusive Target.
We want to make sure that the suit rewards you'll earn through Elusive Targets are prestigious, and that they can be unlocked at a faster rate. Starting with ET 14, we have made adjustments to how players unlock future Elusive Target suit rewards.

The below image shows all of the suits that can be unlocked through Elusive Targets and the requirements for earning them. Note that when you have unlocked a suit, it will be added to your inventory and can be used in all locations and contracts that allow you to select a starting suit.

69a8b38b7903eb0cb72af50da27c5cfcb4a6237f.png

It's important to note that these adjustments won't affect anything you've already unlocked or your progress to unlocking the three accumulative suits (HMA, Blood Money and Signature Suit) that have been the three rewards available so far.
It's equally important to note that the new rewards system comes into effect starting with ET 14, meaning that you cannot retroactively unlock suits based on previous ET's. If you want that Winter Suit, you'll need to complete 5 ET's with a Silent Assassin rating, starting from ET 14.

If you've not completed any Elusive Targets at all, and ET 14 is the first one that you attempt, you will still be able to unlock all of the rewards in the image above. However, if you wait too long and miss/fail too many Elusive Targets, you won't be able to unlock all of the rewards.
