And when you buy limited, inferior console games, you beget limited, inferior console games. My only interest here is bringing awareness to the fact that all customers (including those here) have a direct impact in deciding what games get released for your favorite platform, whether it be a console or PC.
When you buy consolized PC ports, you beget more consolized PC ports. When you support new IP's then more games in that IP will be produced if it sells enough.
When you support innovation in meaningful enough numbers, it leads to more innovation.
When you stifle it by buying the latest Call of Duty or Battlefield game or buying a game like Diablo 3, you're sending a message to companies that aren't as big as Blizzard or Activision that they have to do the same thing if they want to make a profitable dollar.
It's quite a simple concept really, it requires absolutely no trolling on my part to get that point across.
When you stifle the market for true PC exclusives by buying console filth, you're sending the message to other publishers that they, too, have to make console filth if they want to bring in the big bucks in the gaming industry. Money that would have gone to ambitious PC projects instead goes to more of the same.
It's quite a simple concept, really. What I can't understand is why you can apply this philosophy without issue to some people who buy crappy games with missing features, but not others (like yourself).
