Does anyone actually like land?

One can run mid hunter instead of face. It can keep rolling after a turn 6 opponent Reno, for 67 total damage or some high amount and wreck them. But... run Kill Command.

It's not that expensive. I bought 50 packs but LoE and Naxx were all gold in six months.
 
They should nerf normal druid and buff silence, though it is already beefy. It's at least interesting.
 
Managed to get up to rank 10 this month so far. Looked like I was going to stall on 13 again, but there seemed to be a proliferation of face warriors all of a sudden which I've been straight crushing with both Zoolock and Tempo mage.

Don't see too many druids at those ranks, but I can see why they would nerf it for classic. It does feel a touch unfair, but without it I'm not sure what Druid's niche is if they don't have combo and big minions are still being punished by tech cards. That said, it's still more fun to play vs. combo druid than either murloc pally, secret pally, or the no fun for you priest.
 
So far, it seems like they have converted a lot of 'card effect' RNG, for card draw order RNG. Most of the old gods effects are considerably greater than normal high cost legendaries, but decks are all over the place right now so not much consistency. Could be scary when reliable decks get figured out.

So far I've quite enjoyed playing with the druid legendary that gives both 'choose one' options, but mostly because I've been queuing into C'Thun decks that have forgot to include removal. Druid gets out of control if you get 3 or 4 turns of that. Getting both options on the 7 mana wisp is crazy (both summon 7 1/1 wisps, and buff all minions +2/+2), still fails to big AOE's. Don't think decks built around that legendary will work, but it's good enough on it's own that there is no reason not to run it if you already have at least 2 pairs of 'choose one' druid cards.
 
I made an agro warlock and it seems to work well, get them down by turn 6/7 before they can bring the C'thun out to play.
 
haven't come across any decent write-up on it, I'm curious too if there anything nice I should be looking to craft

Shaman does looks pretty good. Still, it's really early. Probably good to let the meta settle for a week or so and see which builds prove reliable before burning too much dust.
 
Yeah it's a bit of meta hell right now with the changes to pre-existing cards and the expansion on top of that.

Evolve is an interesting mechanic that can quickly turn the tide of a match (hey just add RNG!) as well as the C'thun build-up.
 
Wished I got a Yogg-Saron drop in my pre-order packs, looks fun. With the slow meta Tempo Mage with cabalists tome seems ok.

Got a decent number of lengendaries from old gods so I can't really complain, just have been fairly mediocre ones (so far, 2 Fandrals, 1 Herald Volazj, 1 Princess Huhuran, 1 Xaril).
 
Added Yogg-Saron to a tempo mage deck that I re-worked for Standard and it's great so far. I only play him if I'm behind, and every game I've brought him out has ended in a win for me. I'm sure he'll eventually triple Pyroblast my face at some point but if I only play him when I was going to lose anyway, I won't feel too bad about it.
 
just saw something amusing, was in a Brawl and my opponent played a Servant of Yogg-saron which proceeded to cast power overwhelming on itself but it can't attack yet. my opponent conceded right after that, he was losing anyway.
 
Having a tonne of fun with a deathrattle hunter. Unleash the hounds / Infest is pretty slick. Clear the board and fill your hand with beasts. Decent against control if you can drop the give all the deathrattle minions in your hand +1/+1. Might actually have to craft that resurrect all your deathrattle minions that have died legendary, just been using Huhuran so far (usually on Savannah, Cairne, or Sylvanus for crazy swings).
 
Running murloc pally in Standard, its pretty stupid...and fun. I struggle against some shaman builds, and if I let an armor warrior get going I'm hosed. With a good starting hand I win by turn 6 alot, dont think it has the legs to really compete at higher levels but again...its fun. Also popping anyfin can happen after board wipe is good for the lulz, and murloc knight popping another knight is pretty funny as well.

I don't game any more. Long story short, I got really sick, spent many months in the hospital, went through recovery and rehab, and then lost all interest. A lot had to do with not being able to sit upright because of a stage 4 pressure ulcer on my tail bone from lying in a coma for so long.

My body is deformed, I'm depressed, and lost interest in most things I used to love. No need to express pitty or give sentiments. Just stating what happened.

I thought about it though when I saw the new expansion.

Well I think... I know that you should get up if you can. Walk over to the PC if you're physically able to. And login for some Hearthstone or whatever you used to like doing.

Know why? When we get beat down, sick, depressed, etc, we get into a funk because we can't do what we used to do. We are angry that it was taken from us. Whatever bad that happened to us; we don't understand why it happened to me.

Truth is that we're all fighters. Yes all of us. You couldn't have survived all of that and come out of it without being a fighter. That also means that you can be mentally tough if you want to. Again it takes great courage to fight sickness buddy. Courage that many of us don't have.


I tip my hat to you and celebrate your better health in the future. I know that you're a fighter. I know that you can overcome anything in your life. I know you have a great spirit. I knew that before you got sick. Nothing's changed. Same man. Same courage. Same fighting spirit.

Not a pity party. I don't do those. Those make me sad and fuck being sad. I don't do funerals. I give people their flowers everyday while they yet live. I'm just happy to hear from you. Just happy that you have the strength to post a message. I do wish you better health in the future though.


Oh yeah. New D3 season just started. You know; if you're ready for that type of thing. If that's not your hobby due to a lack of interest it's cool. Just thought that it might be something you might want to know. :)

Hmm, hope you try it out big_aug, it's an interesting one.

My dumbass just realized that they give you C'Thun to start with don't need to draw it. Was thinking it sure was shitty to have all these cards in the set work off of him, and then you have to draw it. :x

I had saved up ~4k gold, got a few decent legendaries, including the all deathrattle one.
 
Spent the $50 preorder on TGT and now that set has no prestige or excitement.

But I pulled Bolf Ramshield and used him in a deck against C'Thun so he went negative health. I was just playing minions 5+ and won in Wild. Not portal or Paletress to get Bolf like 99% of when he's played.

It seems like a response to the "average game length is getting longer" meta. Buff and dump this card and it might be enough to fast-forward a few turns.

I'm more in favor of a countdown clock like (blitz) chess where you have significant incentive to think fast and keep idle time to a minimum.
 

Yeah, it's been floating round for a few days, and I think it's generally on point. I disagree with having the list of legendary cards to craft first because you can't really build effective decks around only classic legendaries. Only the new WotOG and the LoE legendaries can have decks completely constructed around them. I'm also worried that Cairne will get pushed back out of the meta in the next expansion like he was with Naxx, but that's at least a few months away. In general, I think that building decks around Epic cards is a much more effective strategy than constructing them around Classic Legendaries. In every deck I currently run if I had to choose between 2x of an Epic or 1x of a Legendary, I'm going with 2x Epics almost every time (Yogg mage being the only exception I run right now).

Best way to use that guide is to skip right to "Strategy 2" and find a deck you are close to building that looks fun.

The grind really wore me down and I found myself opening this up (even on the iPad) less and less. The wild/standard mix was interesting, as was the Old Gods bit, but I found myself gravitating towards the games that gave a slightly better sense of reward (then again I'm playing The Division so maybe I'm just weird :) )

I've been trying to reach Legend on ladder. I've been stuck on 7/1-5/2 for over four days. I'd like to chalk it up to variance, but I'm not sure anymore. The RNG in this game can make you question everything.
I feel like I'm playing well but my draws die out. Honestly, not sure anymore.
 
I'm just starting to play, but I love it and it's like crack....you can sit for HOURS with this. I have a lot to learn but it's fun.

What deck/expansions should I be purchasing?
 
Buy the League of Explorers adventure. Classic packs are probably better until you get a ton of duplicates, though you turn them into dust and can craft some cards.

It sounds intimidating to play Wild but you can craft more commons that hit like a truck. Death's Bite. Piloted Shredder, etc. Mad Scientist is pretty broken.
 
Anyone been playing since Karazhan released? I kinda took a month off, but getting back into it now. Still need the rest of the expansion. I should have the second area (not including the free one) unlocked later today.

And I have a question.... I've been tryiing to add players as friends in my 'friends list' on the lower left. I'm assuming I enter their 'battletag', which I thought was the name that is displayed while they are playing, but when I enter it, it says I have to enter a battle tag?

A battletag has a "#1234" number after it. you have to add that too. You can also add by email address.
 
Anyone been playing since Karazhan released? I kinda took a month off, but getting back into it now.

I haven't really played since the announcement. I have casually been playing ESL instead. Not quiet as polished but it does have some interesting mechanic differences I find better suited to my taste.
