Not only that, in World at War... all the DLC came free (in the form of some of the largest patches I've ever had to install ).

At the next game they started charging for PC DLC :(

Just picked up WaW for 10usd :)

Trying to get someones attention on Steam, but there was no note that they were excluded. Until it is resolved I wouldn't get them since Steam is a pain in the hind about refunding and fixing pricing mistake errors (there support works, just takes days to fix anything).

EDIT: Guess they might not be, funny because they were on sale during the summer sale.

Not really hot. The only things that might be interesting at 50% off are excluded (MW3 pre-order and Black Ops DLCs).

i got blackops for 29.99 1 a month after it came out... and they are still trying to sell it for 39.99 and call it a deal.

If you waited this long, you were never gonna buy it anyways.

$5 ea. for MW, WAW, MW2 and I'll buy them right now! Not worth anymore for the single player experience.

In fact, lets see what recent games I've bought for less than $9.99

Battlefield Bad Company 2 Standard Edition $5

Metro 2033 $4.99

Just Cause 2 + all DLC $7.22

Red Faction: Guerrilla $4.95

Dirt 2 $6

Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY $7.50

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. CoP + SoC $4.99

Amnesa: The Dark Descent $4.80

Grand Theft Auto IV $7.50 (back in 2009)

Too highlight a few...

See my point???

This is what a normal steam sale would look like

The War Chest should include WOW and be 9.99
MW1 should be 4.99(This is the umpteenth time its been 14.99)
MW2 should be 9.99
BO should be 14.99 maybe 19.99
All the DLC should be on sale and in a package.

Call me out on this one, but you look at any of other publisher/Developer thats what theyd be selling those games for on a sale like this. Some times I wonder why this shit is on steam. It doesn't fit the pricing at all.

Seriously if the War Chest included WOW and MW1 it'd be an ok deal. Were talking really really old games here and WOW is garbage.

While I'm not nerd raging over this, I agree. This shit is overpriced.

I'd consider breaking my MW2 boycott (yes, some of us have still not played that game for a single second) for $5. And, while I didn't formally boycott Blops, I'd consider paying $5 for that, too. But I'm not missing out; I've played 1, 2, and 4. And if they never drop the price that low? Oh well.

Is black ops worth it for multiplayer? Waiting for BF3 to come out but being bored lately wanting something to do..

D2D's will be priced lower for quite a few, since they will stack with coupon codes -

cheapass15
retail15

for an additional 15% off

For example MW3 with the the COD4 bonus is cheaper.

Yeah, but will WaW activate on steam then? And I assume MW3 will activate on steam no problem.

MW3 and Black Ops both activate on Steam, and are cheaper at D2D. I'm not sure if the copy of the MW they give you for free will be for what service though.

WaW is cheaper at Steam anyways.

There also something to be said here about the potential long term impact to consumers in regards to the current prevailing digital distribution trends.

I have thoroughly enjoyed black ops. I paid full price and have gotten my moneys worth. A night at the bars costs more and I hardly ever even remember those! ;)

So I just tried out Black Ops ...

Was on a HC TDM server.... My first time playing Black Ops my team loses but I'm first on leader boards for both teams...

The multiplayer is the suck if you ask me... I'll stick with my BF..

Got world at war for 10 bucks, and got cod 4 for free. I like it.
