No wonder you are kicking my butt....I get to run all of your 2684s. I must have upset the folding gods. I guess I need to offer up a sacrifice or something tonight... :)

Me too. I wonder what a suitable sacrifice would be? Toss a video card like my old 4850 into a volcano?

I couldn't come up with anything when I was typing it. I am open for ideas...
 
Sometimes the same subject comes up at work when things break and the items we usually come up with are chicken blood, candles or virgins. Since we can't find any of those we have to rely on maintenance.

Just got home from work to notice that both folding1 and folding2 are working on 2684's...........
 
84s suck the big one.

I got a 86 earlier today.....thank you folding deity.
 
The SR-2 got a P6012 followed by a P6014 this morning. The 980X I just switched to F@H got a P2685, though. :D Just started, so no TPF yet.
 
The SR-2 got a P2684 earlier. A few minutes ago the power went out, so now everything is down (except the laptop). Looks like it might take a while to come back, too.

I really like the 2686 I got on my SR-2...so much so that I didn't even shut the machine down today to try to up the overclock. I can live live with just short of 109K ppd... :)
 
The 2686 and 2692 are the best, if you can get them.

My power came back after an hour or so.
 
I'm almost done with my current 2684. Before the next WU downloads I'm going to head to the parts bin and then out to the Weber...
 
This is getting old...finished a 2686 on one of my machines this morning, then pulled a 6015 and now a 6701.
 
Just finished a 2684 and got a 2686. Tomorrow should be a good points day, but if I get another '84 the day after that will be very bad.
 
Earlier I had a 6075, once that finished it grabbed a 2685.
 
Today is not going to be a very good points day. Folding1 is still munching on a 2684 and folding2 has now gotten 3 straight regular A3 work units in a row after finishing a 2684. It is currently on a 6075.
 
damnit I got a '84, I want to break into the top 20 PPD atleast once :(

Getting in the top 20 is getting harder and harder these days. it takes 3 i7's doing bigadv or small farm that will do equal points
 
75K for the top 20, over 120K for the top 10...very nice!

I guess the folding gods received my sacrifice...my dual X5550 machine picked up a P2686 last night... :)
 
Folding1 just finished the 2684 it was working on only to recieve a 6057. Folding2 has been doing several regular A3's only to finally pick up a 2684 earlier today. With the Labor Day holiday being over and things going back to normal tomarrow, maybe we'll see some more bigadv's getting added to the pool of work units!

The past several days standard SMP WUs are being received between each -bigadv WU. Sometimes as many as three units until a -bigadv comes up.
 
you guys do know your queue list is already pre-determined before you even receive the WU's right?

if your using HFM go to view then show log/queue.. click show queue on the left side.. see the drop down menu at the top left of that window.. click on it.. it will show all the WU's in your queue and which WU you are working on in that queue.. only way of getting around it is by deleting the queue file in your smp folder then it will queue up 10 other WU's the next time it connects to the server..


btw if your wondering there are only 394 bigadv WU's with 114 queued up to be sent out already on the bigadv smp server.. the server only holds up to 394 at a time..

Arnt those past WUs? im on number 5, if I go to 6, that was a WU from last month...
 
no it highlights the WU you are currently working on in the list.. i thought they were all past WU's as well til i decided to watch it and noticed that it followed the queue exactly.. and then when it got to 9 in the list and finished it grabbed a new queue list..
 
I don't know, it looks like past WUs to me. My i7 980X has only finished one WU and is working on a second, and that's all that is in my queue. Everything else is blank.

The 980X finished a P2685 today and picked up a second one. The SR-2 finished a P2686, got a P6020, and is now working on a P2692. I need these good WUs to hold off [H]ecklerKoc[H], at least for a little while.
 
??? it says 6,7,8,9 are 2685's with dates from last month, I doubt I'll get 2685's for the next four WUs

hmm maybe it doesnt work for bigadv WU's then but mines been 100% correct for the last 4 queues ive watched..

i checked mine as well i think what its showing is the last time its ran that WU.. because i have one that shows P6063 but ive never run one of those WU's.. but when this WU ends in about 6 hours ill do another screen shot and compare it..


decided to open the queue file to see what it said.. had to wrap the text so it may not look in order but everything patches what hfm says..

Wouldn't that predicate information of future WU availability is known with 100% certainty and broadcast publicly? Seems unlikely to me but in truth I know nothing regarding PG and their WU selection process. I imagine a beta tester like Tobit would know or can find out if he asks the right people.

I have HFM installed but only use it for troubleshooting purposes preferring to use FahSpy myself.

i was a long time fahspy user til hfm came out.. will never go back to fahspy..

I would like to use HFM for its more accurate PPD estimation but I just can't handle the dense layout on my monitors. It really strains to have it on for long periods. Also, I'm very accustomed to the bar display depicting WU progress. I realize it's not a must-have feature for most people. I've been used to progress bars since Genome Spy. :p
 
Yeah I'm pretty sure those are past WU's ;) I think if it was predetermined there would be a lot of ticked off people because I'm sure someone somewhere would figure out a way to skew how to get which WU and then other people would get the ones no one wants, then they would complain, PG would get lots of hate posts at the FF, etc. it just wouldn't make sense to have it that way.
