G4saurus Defectus

I found that quite funny to be honest. This is going to piss off the NVIDIA fanboys.

Hey, I like NVIDIA too, I support both ATI and NVIDIA.

My favorite feature of "the newer competitive species" are the shitty fucking drivers.

Seriously, AMD's behaving like apple... We never caught nVidia really gloating when they were dominating the HD2900s and 3800s.

It's a bit on the obnoxious side, I agree, and... wrong.

AMD/ATI got destroyed repeatedly during the G80/G92 era, and were in no way competitive on the high end, yet the first little hat has "8000" on it? If you're going to gloat, it helps to get the facts straight first.

Me, bitter? Just a touch. See, they told me PS 3.0 support wasn't important back when I bought the X800XT for god-awful amounts of money, and like an idiot I believed them. On the other hand, my twin 8800 GTXs continue to treat me well.

Maybe if it were made more clear that they're talking primarily about laptop chipsets? Instead, the "SLY" bridges obviously show desktop cards...

ATI/AMD, again, if you're going to do clever viral marketing obviously targeting the hardcore, high end demographic... have a few of us watch it prior to posting on YouTube and looking stupid.

I just bought a G4saurus 280 (Palit)for 299.99 ....from zipzoomfly...150.00 off no mail in rebate:)))) That cartoon was hillarious:):D

"No doubt an AMD planted "viral" PR video"

This is only speculation at best. Merely a ruse designed to ruffle the feathers of those patiently waiting for the Big Bang 2 to arrive.

Will render for food, lol that's hillarious!

I can only assume this was made on the ATI side of the AMD house: Phenom didn't exactly spend vast amounts of quality time in QA.

That was the funniest thing I've seen in quite some time. Thanks!

Guess I'll have to update my sig...

AMD always cuts down their competition in marketing. they do it to intel, and now with nvidia. I think it's a crappy way to advertise and makes me want their products less. ..here's looking at you apple.

Oh come on guys...this thing is hillarious. :) No reason to get all uptight about it. Relax and enjoy it. Actually I wouldnt be surprised if this thing was made by an ATI fanboy. This isnt like ATI at all. Ive never seen them do this kind of stuff before and even if it is ATI/AMD I dont see anything wrong with having a bit of fun ;) Some of you really take your GFX brands too seriously LOL

LOL

While about as true as most Apple commericals. I find this 100x funnier than any apple commerical

Well done indeed, sir.
I like how he is a bridge builder....

Pretty funny stuff. Even if ATi/AMD did make the video it's just an internet video only seen or understood by a relatively small audience. It's not quite like apple which payed big bucks to put these type of shenanigans on national tv. I'm just glad ATi/AMD is finally relevent brand in the vid card market again. My last ATi was a 9800 pro. I'm just glad that I can switch to a different brand and expect a good value for my money. Now AMD needs to get it's act together on the CPU side of things.

Great video. :)

Now if they would spend that much effort on their processors I'd be really happy.

Seriously guys, that's exactly how games render on chipAT-I-saurus. Funky lines and all!

Wow, that was borderline genius. The ending was major fail for the green dino.

AMD being a snob ? Just because they can compete in the graphics card market, after two years ??

There were still a few funny moments though, but AMD looking like Apple isn't a good thing for a financially troubled company.

I would laugh if last 3 of my video cards didn't fail on me.

GF7900GTO, lasted 6 months.

HD4870 512MB, lasted 1 month.

GF8800GTS 640MB, lasted 16 or 17 months I think.

Never had RAM, CPU or HDD fail, only one motherboard, couple a PSUs and optical drives have failed on me while 6 out of 13 video cards I have owned since year 2000 have failed on me.

Both manufacturers have a lot to improve on in reliability. ATI shouldn't be bragging too much especially with their drivers... Play games that aren't huge hyped titles and you'll run in to much more problems when using ATI because of their shitty drivers.

Im not sure, but I think you have no idea what you're talking about :)

I lol'ed. I've run nVidia for my last two builds and I still thought that video was genius.

I cracked up at the 1:50 point, oh god

aop should check his computer before blaming it on broken cards, particularly the mobo and the psu
