the lady said it will be shipped today. i called in last night. we'll see how it goes. i suggest you guys call them.

Me too...reciept said 11:00 AM on 8/26. I just called and they said it should be out today... doh. Why should it take 4 days to ship? 11k inquires I guess... :p
 
Guys... this is a B&M they do not primarily focus on online sales....

Day 1 they get the order, Day 2 likely packing, Day 3 usually shipping!

So many of you are saying ordered 8/26 which is a SUNDAY! Most smaller places aren't open on SUndays... This is a primaily offline company so think of BUSINESS days.

Anybody ever shop on Ebay? Nobodies as good as Newegg so get over it if a small shop takes 3 business days to get it out.

AFAIK, we were just comparing notes. Stupidfool ordered his on the phone and that's probably why his has shipped. These guys obviously got swamped and that's precisely the reason I'm not callin' 'um.

Dual core @ 2.7 is considerably faster than single core at 3.0
Unless you are running something that has no support for dual core (and never will?)

So who here has a crystal ball on 'What will NEVER have dual core support'? Right now, there's definitely a market for single cores out there.

If you don't want or like one at all, why are you posting? Are you just jealous you didn't jump on the deal maybe?

The single-core 3.0 is faster than the dual core 2.7. But the dual core can do more work, which does not equate to being faster.
This thread is about a deal on the FX-55. I don't know why people are chiming in with the, "overclocked dual-core is better", comments. This is an awesome deal for gamers who do little, or no, overclocking and want the most high performing, stable CPU for as little money as possible.
 
I spoke with someone at HDNW yesterday. She said that they are processing orders as quickly as possible. I'm somewhere between #5 and #20. She said that they got over 12000 hits saturday. :)

I am sure they made those comments to help people understand what is good for your money. FX-55 is indeed a nice processor back in old days. AMD cpu's thesedays OC so good that it may be smarter to buy a cheap dualcore for less or even spend extra few bucks and get yourself an Opteron DC. As a gamer myself, I've always had problems of multi-tasking. Every time I play QUAKE4 and I have people AIM me and it starts to lag and next thing I see is myself fragged.
 
got both of them in last night, one is currently humming along nicely at the stock speed and voltage, the other one is up for sale at the moment ;)

I got a tracking number. UPS must have this on horseback. Delivery is slated for next Fri. With 14.50 in shipping cost it shoulda' arrived before it shipped.

This is day 5 and still no tracking number or notification that it has been shipped. :mad:

they changed my order from 3 to 1, apparently not enough supply.

i'm going to see if i can still get my 3 if they get another shipment in, but man... maybe i'll just use this now.

confirmation e-mails weren't sent out on a lot of orders, instead they were just shipped.

if you want, you can call them for a tracking number.
 
Just did that :D Guy on the phone said he'd send me a UPS tracking number by email.

Looks like they took WAY too many orders compared to the stock they had on hand.

I got an original confirmation of the order, yes. I did not get a confirmation of shipping, no.
 
I emailed them and said if my order wasn't shipped out yet, I want to cancel my order (5 business days to process was more than long enough). I just got called to confirm my cancellation... I guess that means there is one more for sale for them. :D
 
I never recieved an email but they did call me and gave me a tracking number...thats pretty good customer service if I do say so myself. So far ill order from these guys again if especially if they have another go for broke sale.
 
Finally got my 2.

Ya they send it in a lil baggy :) But the pins aren't beat to death and it's in good shape.
 
Yeah, they took the link down because they got some 11k orders in 1 day. I was just updating the thread.
