Forza Horizon 4

So here's a question: If I re-buy this on Steam, having already played 200+ hours on the Xbox on PC version, I know saves won't transfer (which is bullshit, but anyway...), but is it possible to get all of the cars that were special event vehicles and stuff that people put up on the auction house, or is none of that possible once the game is delisted?
According to these 2 pages, you will be able to play it normally including online, offline and MP.
The festival play lists will be ending 8-22-24 though, which could contain some of the cars that you are talking about?
I'm not sure if that answered your question or not, maybe someone else could chime in.

Q: What will happen to the game after the final Festival Playlist ends?

Every car that was previously Festival Playlist-exclusive will now be available to obtain via Backstage Pass. You will be able to complete daily and weekly challenges as well as Forzathon Live Challenges to earn points and obtain Backstage Passes.

Why do you want a Steam copy if you already have it on the Xbox app?

Maybe he wants to switch to Linux. :) The steam version works on the deck so it works in Linux, but I don't know if that applies to the one on the XBox app.

I am kind of on the fence if I want this game. On the one hand it looks interesting and ultimate edition is only $20, but like most racing games I tend to go hard playing them for a day or two then shelve it and only rarely play it after so I can't seem to make up my mind lol.

You can slipstream the save file and it will take but if your doing all of that why not just mod the game?

Easier to get working on the Steam Deck, mainly.

How do you do that? Everything I've read online says it won't work.

You can mod the game even though it's based on online events and stuff? I can't imagine they would allow mods with the auction house being a thing...

It's really odd because your save files for Halo Master Chief Collection work universally across PC launchers and consoles. I have no idea why they locked the saves down for the Forza series on PC.

I don't think I'll bother with the Steam version, I have too much effort into the Xbox one and I don't think I'm going to be putting 200+ hours into the game again.

End of the line for Forza Horizon 4, but it's 80% off through 12/15 when it's gone for good.

Motorsport and Horizon 5 are also deeply discounted at the moment.
I got the Ultimate Edition on the Windows Store for $12 the other day.
Couldn't pass it up at that price, plus knowing that I have everything it ever offered for cheap gives me the warm and fuzzies.

Purchased, thanks. Haven't played a racer other than Wreckfest in a long time and haven't beaten one since Blur. Doubt I will finish this one but looks to be one of the best and offer a lot for the price.

Not a fan of games getting delisted most of the time so appreciate the heads up, Domingo

I think it took me around 30 hours to complete all of the original single player content. I have never really dived into the expansions for these games before. I started doing Fortune Island, but just didn't have the motivation to complete it. I started doing the LEGO expansion and just got more and more annoyed the more I tried to progress through it.
