Forza 3... Who's Getting It?

Some sleuthes with way too much time on their hands discovered that a bunch of screen shots of supposedly different tracks are all part of one super track that's taking the place of the "snake" test tracks from FM2.

Wow, that would be mental. I wonder if you could drive to the edge of the higher bits and see the other track below? :D
 
Does Forza 3 have a 1/4 mile track? I think I saw one in one of the videos the laddie posted.
 
It has a 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile and full mile track set up for drag races.

which is going to be amazing!

i <3 going around a track as fast as i can, but my god some of the people that i play online are just so damned fast i cant keep up, and not to mention i have very little idea of how to acctually tune my car to go fast around tracks, so yea.

but i also would love me some good ol'fashioned drag races ;)

now to appeal to the crazy street racers they are adding a freeway street race from 60-top speed in the middle of downtown LA traffic :p

also, what does VIP Member Exclusive mean? You're telling me that ZR1 isn't included in the "basic" version of the game?
Audi S5 is nice, if I get the game I'm gonna mod the hell out of this car, it's beautiful.
Hopefully there also will be Nissan GTR stock version, I see about 4 different race cars but no stock version on that list.
and lastly, that is a lot of variations from all those 18 tracks *sigh*

The VIP membership included a pack of 5 cars that are not included in the game as well as "VIP Privileges" for the auction house and storefront, although I'm not quite sure what all that entails. At the moment the only way to get the VIP pack is with the Limited Collectors Edition of the game, I think that eventually you'll be able to download it though (might be a while).

The LCE cars are reskins of cars that are already in the game. Also, the R-35 GT-R will probably not be in the game...

So yes, you will not be able to use the ZR1 without the VIP pack.

As for your BMW's remember that as impressive as the current car list is that's just over 1/2 the total car list.

Darn it, that is exactly what I hate about those collector's editions, it doesn't bug me if it's a skin or something cosmetic but when they take out content it isn't cool in my book.
I know that list isn't complete so I still have my fingers crossed.

What I really hate is that out of the Limited Collectors Edition there is literally only one thing that I want, and that's the VIP pack. The rest of it is all crap that I have no interest in at all, and I know the VIP pack is ON the disc, you have to use a code to unlock it though.

LCE comes with:
LCE car pack
VIP privileges/car pack
FM3 theme
FM3 keychain
FM3 usb drive

Don't hold your breath for the ZR1 though, I think they're deadset on locking it to the VIP users.
 
i wouldnt stress about the added content the vip pack has, probably straight away or after a while you be able to download the extra content probably for a small fee

Supposedly another benefit of VIP is that Turn 10 will be constantly sending you free cars/paint jobs and such (not DLC, it won't be any new content, just cars/tunes/etc). VIP members will supposedly get on average one or two a month. They mention that in the PAX video I believe.

For those of you wheel users, Amazon has the red Playseats Classic racing seat for $166 w/free shipping (that's about 1/2 price). Blue and black are almost $35 more. Buying it from Amazon for the red shows up on the side (it pops up another store's $149 + $33 shipping)

Tempted to buy one myself but I'll hold off for now.

I ordered the Fanatec 911 Turbo S Clubsport edition (mouthful!) last week. Apparently there's something else coming though... or at least someone I know that knows a lot of the "behind the scenes stuff" said this week that if you're thinking of getting a wheel, you should wait a little while.

Which one would that be, Sir? I'm thinking about getting either the G25 or 27, not sure yet. The Fanatac is way out of my price range, for that price I would get the PS3 + GT lol.
 
G25 / G27 wont be much use for Forza. :p

As for the price of the Fanatec, the standard edition is $30 more than the G27. Hardly a killer.
 
I am not saying Fanatec is too expensive, it's just out of my price range (as is the G27, had it worked on the 360).

Does your source say whether we are talking first or 3rd party?

I'd be curious too. I've got the 360 wheel but I HATE sitting it on my lap. If I had a better wheel I'd look at getting a racing seat. But I don't want to get a better wheel until I have a seat...a bit of a dichotomy.

Yeah, they're supposed to reveal a bunch of cars today. I think they may also do a Lamborghini reveal today as well, not 100% sure of that.

Microsoft Germany confirms that they will releasing one-10 car DLC pack per month for one year. Don't know if they were supposed to let that slip or not.

No, Blackmagix owns Forza Central, BADNED will not come out and say if he works for T10, it's all speculation, but considering he knows the full car list, all the features in the game, and gives us heads up about what/when reveals will take place (before that Che guy) but says he is "not allowed to reveal them" we all pretty much assume he works for T10 (he will not confirm nor deny).
