Fallout: London

The patch in-progress is 10x the size of the previous hotfix/patch.
Currently 1100 fixes.

Coming... eventually.
* Made sure the gate before the boat sequence stays open forever after the initial button press
* Fixed issue where the button to open the gate becomes uninteractable if you leave and come back

Shit like this is a major issue in the mod. If you happen upon a locked door that is related to a mission you haven't received yet, they will allow you access to it before hand but not when you actually gain the quest.

Even quest lines where you do them right and have a final door to traverse, you're locked out of it and have to use the unlock command through the console to open it. Quite a few have you leave and come back only to find the door is locked and can only be open with a terminal which you have no access to.

If it wasn't for the console, this mod would be unplayable.

* Atkins robots can no longer eaten with cannibal perk. Damn it!

Patch news via discord.
London comic con is Oct 25.

Patch?
For those eagerly awaiting news about the upcoming patch, we're happy to share that it should be out before Comic Con! We know we said it'd be soon and yes it's taken a little longer than expected, but it's for a good reason - we've brought in some external help to improve performance, facegen data, and LOD and it took awhile to get them up to speed, but wow the difference. This update (and accompanying video) will offer HUGE improvements and we're glad we held off to ensure all these enhancements are included in one patch!

Here is the full post.

I'll have to actually buy fallout.Four eventually to play this, it looks worth it
Probably a good idea to wait for a few more rounds of patches

I would wait. I doubt they even wiped out half the bugs yet.
I wish I would of waited before I finished it.

You can go ahead and enjoy FO4 though, it will give you a couple hundred hours to mess around and have fun in the base game, getting to know the mechanics and the console.
No thanks, I grew tired of Bethesda's IMO stale formula after FO3. i'm only wanting to play FOL bc of the praise it has received.

Patch 1.03 is being called a DLC.

We're excited to share some news about the upcoming v1.03 patch for Fallout: London! What started as a simple hotfix has grown into something much bigger. Given the scope of this update, we're aware it may make changes that impact save files, so rather than risking breaking things for a small update, we're looking to roll this into a part of our very first DLC! This DLC will feature both new content and previously cut content that we’re working hard to restore. Stay tuned for more details - big things are on the way!

You can check out the full patch list here:

I feel the same way. After fallout 3 I've lost interest. Except I'm fairly certain London isn't going to do the trick so I don't have hope for it.

Well at least it's not bethesda creating it, that's why I'm somewhat interested in giving it a try

All in all it's still FO4 with different skins, locations and quests. And way, way, way more bugs.

I would give it at least another 6 months to a year or more before I would give it a try, according to their patch cadence.
And make sure you know how to use the console with a list of the most used commands on tap.

Yeah I wouldn't touch it even if i did have a system to play it well on, for another year or until it's "done"

How well would this play at 4k on a lowly 2070 laptop GPU and 16gb ram? And is it more stable at this point?

Pretty good, it's just FO4 game wise. I played FO4 @ 4K with a 2060 and it was glued to 60fps.
Just remember to turn off weapon debris in the settings since you will be using a Nvidia GPU, might want to turn down Godrays too.

I haven't been keeping up with it lately so I don't have a clue what has been fixed and what has been broken with the latest patch.
Give it shot, all it can do is piss you off and cause you to throw your laptop out a window. 🤷‍♂️

Apparently got the problem fixed so maybe its not going to be this buggy for others. If you enjoy FO4 then I'd recommend it. Especially if you like British things. Having not played a Bethesda game since a heavily molded Skyrim, its a reminder that they cannot make first person combat games. The combat is terrible compared others first person RPGs like STALKER or Cyberpunk. Camera feels floaty and hovering around (no ability to climb, mantle, or do much except move around on a flat plane), gunplay and melee has no depth or crunch. Have to use VATS most of the time to compensate for the shitty combat. And they still will not allow players to remap the middle mousewheel to scroll inventory items 9r favorites items. It's as if bethesda still does not understand what first person shooters are or the quality of life features that have been standard in first person games for the past twenty years. And there is still that physics bug that causes certain objects to begin vibrating back and forth rapidly, I see it most often in enemies when I kill them in close quarters combat. Its very distracting. I remember that from Skyrim and FO3 and Bethesda still hasn't fixed it.

If you're asking about the rabbit and pork update specifically I could not tell you. This is my first time playing it.

I have stuck with it and have about 45hrs now. I recommend it. Didn't play FO4 but did play FO3 and this is every bit as good if not better, so far. I'd say its pretty stable, would give it a 7 may e 8/10 for stability, once I got my AMD related issues sorted out. Very good writing and voice acting and level/map design. I expect most of the jank comes from Bethesda's janky engine, which they cannot help. It has to have at least 100hrs of gameplay maybe twice that if you do all the side quests. Im level 22 and enjoying the progress. This is a no brainer to play if you like FO3 or 4. And it's free.

To quote myself:

Done.
262hrs. Lv 121.
5th Column for the final push.
No free roam after final mission, just like FO3 pre-Broken Steel.
Will play again...one day.
And if you liked it that much, you WOULD like FO4. And it's free if you own FO4. And that is every location and every quest I could find.

I 100% hate that bullshit. Same with Horizon: Zero Dawn or any game which pulls that crap.

Fallout: New Vegas does the same damn thing but a modder made CAGE and another made FPGE which extends game play considerably and allows a player to see the consequences of their actions.

I like Fallout: London but this is pushing me towards uninstalling the mod.

I hate that too but not enough to stop me from playing. Can always reload a save before the point of no return. But I admit when to do that I tend to play a new game after (another game or a restart from scratch).

I would think after over two hundred hours in a game one would be ready to move on to something else
