Yes it is.I bought FO76 previously on steam. I went to amazon page and I have the PC code. Is it giftable? If so, I'll post to freebies thread.
Very good, thanks.Yes it is.
The game would be very challenging without a camp (your home).FINALLY figured out how to get this installed.....I needed the Xbox app...
So, are making camps something you really need to do or no? I absolutely loath the building and crafting garbage in every bethesda game.
I never got the draw to this game personally, and I'm a massive FO3/Skyrim/FO4 fan. I'd literally rather just jump into any of the single-layer Bethesda games versus play this.I can see how this game can be super annoying...its more or less just trying to find junk you can scrap so you can keep your gear in good repair...that really isn't very much fun.

I guess that's what I don't understand. To me it basically just seems like a shittier FO4 since it's missing all the unique elements, NPC life, etc.Its more or less the same if you dont do anything with otber players but it still seems lifeless and tedious compared to the other games.
I mean its all in there, but its a LIVE service game. So they have to keep things updated and it plays differently. There is quite a bit of NPC life around the map, just gotta know where to find it.I guess that's what I don't understand. I'm coming back to this after playing through FO4 and I'd say it's definitely different than I remember from 4 years ago. There are now actual people NPCs around. They don't always have much (or even anything) to say...but they're there! There are even a few large settlements. The game tosses a few NPC-heavy quests at you early, but as you progress, there seem to be fewer of them. The game still leans pretty heavily into the "find the Overseer recordings" storyline it has always had, but there are way more sidequests and things to do than there were originally. Weapon balancing and even variety seems different than I remember. I've been using the same guns for a long time and am approaching level 20. There are other weapons around, but you can't use most of them until you hit level 50, which at least used to be the "endgame" portion of things.
For a game that's more popular than it has ever been before, I'm not seeing all that many people actually playing. It's mostly been people who are level 200+ hanging out in their gigantic fortresses. In the 15 hours I've played recently, I bet I've only seen 2 people anywhere near my level. I dunno if I'm choosing the wrong game type or what (I still see people nuking stuff constantly), but there aren't many low level people.
Not sure I'd say the game is night and day different than before, but it's at least pretty different. There are boatloads of little missions and whatnot, so at the very least you won't be hard up for stuff to do.
After playing for like 80 hours so far, I honestly feel they could just make this a single player game and forget all the other always online aspects of it. I haven't done anything with another human and don't plan to. So much garbage going on that I end up seeing the same little one off questss over and over and over.
You actually can rename the power armor chassis. Highlight the chassis in your inventory, press the "inspect" key, and on the next screen will be the "rename" option listed at the bottom.Without being able to label the power armor chassis its a pain...
i thought they just left them sitting there after the got them...Related to power armor - is there still a way to display/store your power armors? Back when the game first launched, you'd see people with dozens of fully outfitted power armor sets in their camps. So far I've only seen people with one set on display. Am I missing anything? I have like 15 frames, but will probably get rid of some if there's no real point. Seems like 5 sets is probably plenty beyond aesthetics.

Yup, you can get display stands for them in the Atom shop or sometimes as scoreboard rewards. Coincidentally, the limit is 5 display stands and/or mannequins.is there still a way to display/store your power armors?.....Seems like 5 sets is probably plenty beyond aesthetics.
Nobody can take it unless you "drop" it from your inventory (as opposed to "using" it from your inventory). No clue if other people can hop into it or what, either.

Along those same lines, I'm noticing that enemies have become super spongy past level 75'ish. I have a full arsenal of 2-3 star legendary level 50 gear and a stack of cards to boost my damage output. Yet it feels like a lot of these enemies are designed to be fought with a posse of people. I've gotten to the point that I'm sticking to melee just so I don't waste 5000 rounds of ammo in every fight. It still takes like 5-10 minutes per boss, but at least it isn't wasting resources. Not sure if I'm missing something or what.
its really just the legendaries that feel this way, especially the scortched flying things but it does kind of suck that even regular ghoul enemies can still take sometimes 4 or 5 shots from something to kill even when the weapon does 125+ damage a shot. I always worry about not having enough ammo even though I'm carrying around 1500+ for the weapons I carry.
The Railway Rifle is, hands down, the best (and most "broken") weapon in the game. It offers players some amazing effects, such as being able to pick up bullets from enemies and staggering enemies. Additionally, the damage on this weapon is out of this world. If players can find the weapon with the Quad Legendary Effects, they will have an even better weapon as they will be able to reload less often. The Commando Perks, Tank Killer, Adrenaline, Bloody Mess, and Better Criticals will make this weapon completely unstoppable.
