Guys, let simmer down, and stay on topic, discussing the EVGA Overtake, and keep the trolling out.
 
I doubt we'll (EVGA) overtake you guys anytime soon given the current rate, but you never know, if we keep pushing ourselves to the limit and you guys don't, well... I'm sure you'll rally the troops if we get too close :)
 
I like the color scheme, [H]. I've always been a sucker for red. Nice and sharp.
I was gonna pop on and crack a couple jokes, but your registration almost stopped me in my tracks. That thing is hard to trudge though :eek: I'm glad it let me use my Yahoo email address after all... (hint hint, bugfix :))

EDIT: To stay on topic, you guys are safe for a while. I was shocked to see you guys shoot up like that in such a little amount of time a few months ago, but you never know what can happen in folding ranks...

For me, this is when it is fun. Regardless if it is the chaser or the one being chased... Hundreds of folks getting excited to do more killing of cancer. :)

It's all for a good cause.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you folk are GPU heavy, and are now using Beta flags.

Sadly, those beta jobs aren't always stable. One bad WU, and the house of cards tumbles down.

No correction necessary. We are in fact GPU heavy/strong, However it may not be to the degree of one being able to say it is our focus when it comes to Distributed Computing. I do believe we have a higher % of CPU's cores working than we do GPU's.

We are like any group helping out. We have some that just cannot get enough folding done and are always buying Components... Others dedicate nothing but Multiple CPU setups, others that only use GPU's. And then others like myself that use both. Not to mention some 24/7 others not...

I guess the best way to offer why I feel this way is to look at the WU's getting done. While not "Full proof" it can offer an example...

Here is a breakdown looking only at a moments ago's Stats...

[H] with 542 Active producers doing (Roughly) 400 WU per update. Or 0.738 WU's per update per Producer.

EVGA with 954 Active members doing roughly 925 WU per update. Or 0.969 WU's per update per Producer.

So in reality, because the PPD are not double [H] leads me to believe we are heavy GPU wise, yet have a lot more CPU's pumping away than most think...

Not to mention, the QRB points are really low for GPU's right now. So low in fact that while we are having an internal competition, we are removing the BETA flags to get maximum point potential from our GPU's. The advantage for the last year or so has been the BIGAdv setups and I think this is where your team has a lot of strength.

I remember back in 2009 when I started, that one of the push backs we got a lot was how many WU's we had completed in comparison to [H]. We had something like half as many. Well today that number is only about 1,100,000 difference. We are catching up fast in that category. However I think that may be more about the size of the WU's now and the processing power of the Components we all use today...

I think tonight I will make it a point of firing up another box.
 
folks in eVGA are always find "GOOD" excuses for themselves :D ... When discusing something, they try to drag [H] into their conversation .. pure losers. :D

I know - how about something useful like MOAR D!?!? I just turned on 80K ppd in the form of 2 x 580s this morning. What are YOU going to do to stop this overtake????

Well, now i have a new case and psu i'm about to bring Warspite back online on a part time basis, all i can afford right now but over the course of a month it will average out at 32k PPD, a lot more if i can get her folding 8103's
 
I shall rummage around the house..... more "D" shall be had.

I think I can generate more PPD, if there was a F@H Ramdisk for Dummies Tutorial.

I already had one machine give me a recoverable SSD error already. If it crashes, I might not know about it until it's too late. I'm not turning it off unless the errors get unrecoverable. Might just be the $50 SSD though.

Given that tpf on 8103 is currently showing at 28minutes I have not just brought 32k PPD back online, its more like 118k PPD:D

Turned on another 2 boxes and bough more parts for the next 4p.

I think [H] is a team filled with upper middle class and upper class, that can afford to buy multi P systems. You all live in huge mansion with servants, climate controlled computer room in your basement. You have your own wind turbines and solar power to help with the power bills. If you have an issue with your system you just call up Bill Gates for some advice.

Us poor folks at EVGA are just gamers that have some spare time to try to help out our fellow man.
We are the underdogs that everyone should be rooting for. :D
