This new CEO is just in there to cut costs and make the shareholders more money, and if that means gutting the developers that create these great games, so be it in her eyes, she doesn't care as long as there's more pennies earned at the end of the day and costs are down.

Eventually she'll move onto some other company or industry after leaving Microsoft in shambles, but she'll get her mega big payday in the meantime.

And then 2 to 3 years from now, Microsoft / X-Box leaders, will ask, what happened to our great business? It's destroyed and gone. And they'll like blame the Gamer's or something.

IIRC she was in charge of the AI division at M$ prior to this role so that should tell you all you need to know about the future of Xbox.

I believe they are going to dismantle Xbox and sell it to the highest bidder (Saudis) over the next few years unless something drastic happens. All the people that made the studios they brought great are long gone.

Xbox hasn't been relevant in years...Sony won the console wars for the past 2 generations...there's nowhere to go but up...maybe Sharma will be able to bring it back to life the same way Lisa Su brought AMD back from the dead

The problem is that Microsoft wants XBox to make money NOW. But in order to make money NOW, they need to have a good brand, infrastructure, talent and IP TODAY.

And unfortunately, Sony has put in a ton of money, effort and talent building a brand YESTERDAY, so they have the option to make money NOW.

Xbox has been in shambles for years. I can't remember the last time they published a game that made owning an Xbox over another platform worthwhile.
Bethesda is a joke at this point, with or without Asha's involvement.

They have the IPs but no talent to make anything of them. Sony is getting greedy and lost focus on what out them on top and continue to do so. I wouldn't be surprised if next gen for Sony and MS might be their last. Two more tops. Nintendo will continue on doing their own thing.
