I ordered mine through Amazon a few days ago and its coming from "Harrisburg, PA" apparently. Anyone else get theirs recently from this location and get/not get the polarizer?

Then it doesn't have the polarizer either. You're not expecting too much. With the polarizer, there isn't a white glow at all. It's not just less. It's completely gone. Trust me, you'd know the difference.verylostindeed said:Well, I just got a new one from Amazon after having one w/o a polarizer. And I must say, either this one also lacks the polarizer (ordered last week), or I'm seriously expecting too much from it.
There is still an evident white glow. It's difficult for me to know if it's more or less, but it appears to be there.
Also every so often it shows garbled mixed up nonsense which I can't fix unless I restart my Mac. I'd think this was a computer issue since I have to hard-reset my Mac when this happens. But it never happened with my old monitor.

Which warehouse did both of them ship out from?
looks likes newegg raised the price up to $799. Amazon won't even allow you to preorder anymore
The latest one from PA; not sure about the first.
I ordered mine from Amazon over the weekend and it arrived Wednesday from the Harrisburg, PA warehouse. I'm quite sure it has the polarizer as theres no white glow at all and can see red and green very slighty when viewing it from angles.
Does anyone know what a polarizer does?
Another post on this thread said that all future DS-263s will ship with the polarizer; has anyone been able to confirm that?
So I received my DS-263N from Amazon and it has NO dead pixels, but it also doesn't have the polarizer. I am debating whether or not to chance my luck again. What should I do? Should I risk getting another one that may or may not have a polarizer and dead pixels? Or keep the one I have without any dead/stuck pixels and no polarizer.
The white glow is very noticeable..
Shipped from PA, I ordered a week ago. The monitor looks GREAT though. The stupid white glow is the only thing that is keeping me from absolutely loving this thing.
Xbox 360 looks great on it btw.
Dang, looks like mine are probably non-polarized then too. How bad is the white glow in a low light, high light room light levels, when something is displayed on it vs. just a blank black screen, as well as looking directly at the monitors versus on the sides...
I'm having trouble finding the cons about this monitor.
Are there any, besides the crap stand?
3) Low contrast, so you aren't going to get the incredible blacks. NO LCD does perfect blacks anyway, so as long as you aren't too anal about having absolute blacks, you can live with "slightly gray" blacks. This will be most evident in movies probably, and some games perhaps.
Speaking in general here (I haven't used this monitor either), the big problem with LCDs and blacks comes from those those cannot produce black detail and simply show all of the different shades of black as the same "gray" color.
Surprisingly, without bias since I don't have the monitor myself yet, there aren't many. It really is a great monitor according to almost everyone!
The largest problems are:
1) White haze inherent in non-polarized IPS panels (not a huge deal unless you're off angle and in a dark room).
2) Dead/stuck pixels (which any monitor is capable of producing, unfortunately).

4) Some sort of lines you can see, barely, when looking really close, on a gray background.
5) And yes, the stand and overall cheap build (but again, it works and how often are you going to mess with your monitors positioning, so who cares here too).
That's literally all I've found, nothing more in any major significance. That is why I am excited, because when researching things like this you will often find more "bad" things because people tend to complain about the problems, and every product ultimately will have those bad batches. Yet its minimal here (one reason could be the lack of supply and such, but even so...).
Edit: Btw, some have been saying it's a 25.5" panel, yet everywhere I see advertisements for 26"... a small difference to be sure, but what is it really?
