EU had rolling restarts

Tons of gold farming spots nerfed
Tyreal was nerfed, hitting for 1.4K rather than 40K
The amount of mobs in Act 3 was nerfed to stop fast leveling
Sarkoth gold and rare drop was nerfed

I guess I'll just wait till 1.0.3 when I'm actually able to progress into Act 2 with my current gear because I can't do what this game requires since they keep nerfing gold spots

I was getting 1 shot by him constantly so what did I do? removed a ton of dexterity gems and put in vitality ones.

The gold farmers are the reason why you feel the need to farm gold. They are creating the problem.. You're complaining about the WRONG thing blizzard is trying to fix the problem you are actually having.

The fast leveling thing is going to be a problem because I was waiting for those massive mobs to level my friend up. I started playing a little over a week ago and have a 52 monk, 43 DH and 15 wiz. I started the DH first but I'm REALLY having fun with the monk. I love running into the middle of a giant crowd and just butchering them all. I no longer feel the need to play like the DH and retreat while trying to target 1 person

There isn't an easy way to stop gold farmers because while they love to use bots; if necessary they can and will just play the game manually as you would. In general they are more skilled than the average player so they can farm faster than you wearing the crappiest of gear. Since this game allows you to trade even the best of the best gear they can even wear that and farm even faster.

Nerfing their farming spots does nothing but make them hack accounts more. I used to play with them in Aion and while they were extremely nice and bad ass as players, they have their social order and hierarchy which gives them a certain amount of respect for the company making the game.

Blizzard would be better suited to delete their accounts and make them start over again rather than tick their player base off by tailoring the game to "stop the gold flow". Especially since the game isn't about finding drops for your class and rather about your ability to manipulate the auction house. If I were to email my old Aion buddies they would tell me that what Blizzard did doesn't affect them in the slightest. They only understand deleted accounts as they hold their treasures and ultimately their paycheck for RMT.

Cba playing anymore, the game is just an unbearble stinking pile of turd in its current form, waiting till next patch.

The tyrael nerf made it even more unbearable

If you relied on Tyrael to kill mobs then you had no business being there. Plus, it was painfully obvious they were going to nerf him.

Did i say i relied on him?

Im stating the game is a stinking pile of turd, hope that helps. its not fun

The group of people I played with stopped playing already. Record time for a Blizzard game. They did a lot right, but did a lot equally wrong.

My nephew that asked me to play with him fell asleep at the keyboard playing last night. He still keeps asking me when does the game get harder as Normal mode difficulty is just too easy. I have told him 20 times that he has to wait for Nightmare or some boss ability that he hasn't seen for the first time. We're in ACT II together; I'm level 11 and he's level 16. I was killing all of the elites solo at level 11 last night for kicks while he slept.

Now his sister thinks the game is awesome and can't wait to play. She found WoW's difficulty entirely too hard, but she can play Diablo pretty good. She's a Facebook games maven. Diablo III fits her play and lifestyle perfectly as a mother of two.

My WoW friends that played have all quit as they find the game boring. They were hardcore Diablo II players and have been bugging me about Diablo III since I met them three months after WoW's launch. They just couldn't wait to play and all seven of them bought Collector's Edition. One already sold his account on EBAY.

Like you said the game has it's high points but there are just as many detracting low points that add up to give you a glum view of the game. Well for those of us that were expecting more polish and substance from Blizzard.

Yes and these 2 russian hardcores i was playing with at the begining havent logged in for 3 days now. i get bored solo farming. Lots of people on my friends list havent logged on much this week :(

I've barely touched it since Max Payne came out.

I enjoyed the first play through, but replaying it at higher difficulties isn't that appealing.

The game is broken in its current form. They made inferno "hard" by just doubling the elite packs health and damage. That just makes the difficulty artifical and one big gear check. If I die in a game I want it to be because I did something wrong, not because I got 1 shot. Now if I was one shot by something that is avoidable ie. enchanted laser I would be fine with that. My barbarian has 9.5k armor, 42k health and around 600 resists. Even when i pop ignore pain I die within seconds.

Another thing, did they even give the elite packs abilities that are specifically designed to target range, other than mortars. Even with mortars you can still kite them out of range. The only feasible way to kill elites in inferno, other than spending 25 million gold in the AH, is to kite them. Mainly because all of their abilites are designed to deal damage upclose.

The difficulty should be based around did I use my abilites when absolutely necessary and to manage them while they are on CD. Avoid abilites that have the potential to one shot. Even if you get caught with some bad RNG ie. jailor holding you in place and being one shot with a laser or health drained drastically while held in place in a fire pool. That would be better than the current system, of just making everything "double."

I must have a pair of rare magic rings since there is not one ring on the AH with 15% or 13% Attack Speed Increase.
d3-rings.jpg

was looking for some decent rings for my lvl 26 Monk and noticed that there weren't any rings for any level with that high attack speed increase on the AH.
Those rings are currently on my Demon Hunter so I guess I'll use them on the Monk with she gets high enough.

This game was definitely not balanced for inferno, I don't care what anybody says, inferno is NOT HARD. It's a retarded way for Blizzard to make money off the incoming RMAH. There is no fun in inferno as it stands, even when you can kill the bosses.

Lit the fires and raised the catapults in Act III inferno, good lord that was harder than it should be.

Had to skip the very last yellow with Teleport Wormhole, holding the button to pop into the mobs beyond him with Archon and clear them all out. Fortunately he didn't follow and I was able to head to the last catapult. Was pounding and pounding him with 46K dps and he was healing almost as fast as I was doing damage, it was ridiculous.

They removed stat allocation in order to create diversity in builds. As it stands now, ranged stack dex or int for max dps. Melee stacks resist. They just changed the way you get it, by putting it on gear. Herding people to the AH.

My group has stopped playing the game. We got to level 60 on our main characters in the first two weeks but feel Inferno is just broken. We made it through most of Act I and quit. About half way through Hell difficiculty, we got to the point where the only way to progress was to go to the AH and buy better gear. After a play session of a few hours, none of us would find any gear that was good enough to put on our characters and rarely found anything that would sell for much in the AH. Once we got to inferno, we spent more time browsing the AH than actually playing the game. Hoping that the 1.0.3 patch makes this more bearable. The packs of blue enemies stack attributes on Inferno that make them comletely unfair.

They just hot hotfixed the damage scaling. Damage doesn't scale anymore. Damage doesn't change if you're playing solo or in a full game of 4. Only mob hitpoints scale. Should be a bit easier now.

Oh yeah ofcourse mate, the game is not challenging and does not require the least bit of skill, if you have gear you can face roll inferno.

Check athenes videos out with his 320 million DH, Butcher on inferno killed in 3 seconds ffs lmfao http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bq9Sl7qVpRs&list=UU-9C9d1qDDzA2jdH53vSIuA&index=3&feature=plpp_video

This latest patch blows.
With my OCD I break everything on every play through, and that was giving me tons of money. Now its literally 50% from before. Blizzard needs a lesson on fixing shit, ripping the fun/features out of the game is not how to do it. And the Tyreal fix? That is dumbest shit right there. Instead of making him completely useless, how about he just de-spawns when you die? There, no more exploit. But, NOOO, lets nerf char and make him useless. Blizzard...... No logic, I swear...... I'm very close to shelving this game for a few months....

Here is another awsome exploit that hasnt been fixed, having trouble selling your crap on the AH?

No big deal, minimize game with the Ah open and turn your PC clock back 2 days. I saw this on the blizz forums earlier and it loads of people are saying it works. wow

yeah, just watched the same about 30 min ago.
epic fail.

what does it do? you can cancel any auction. at any time.

I'd rather have his damage nerfed so the mobs at least don't full heal when my res timer gets too high. :D

Does it allow you to put items up for bid but the bid will be accelerated by 2 days so people can darn near do a buy out immediately?

Diablo 3: Lord of the Auction House.

They were going to allow auctions to be canceled next patch anyway, so not really a big deal that this was found out. Definitely helpful in the meantime though, and it is kind of funny that such a large company would take this approach.

No, it doesn't affect others auctions at all.

No I really meant your auctions. Say roll it back 1day 22 hours and do a bid type auction and see how high it gets in those 2 hours instead of having to wait 2 days for people to really start to bid on it. Was wondering if that would work as that would be fun to do.

The "build diversity" in Diablo 3 is one of the most laughable things I've EVER heard. There is no diversity in builds in D3 inferno, period. For all the small variations in builds from one skill here or one rune there, the GOAL of all builds is the same. Melee classes are absolutely required to build super tanky. They get their heals, they get their big CDs for fighting elite packs, and that's it. Ranged classes don't HAVE to build as glass cannons, but there is no reason not to, so 99% of players do it. They rely on one or two abilities to stay alive (like smokescreen, teleport, force armor, etc) and then use the same damn damage abilities EVERY time.

There's no sense of theming to a build. There are no fire wizards or hand crossbow demon hunters. Everybody just gets some set of 6 out of about 7 or 8 skills that are viable and then the other 20 are relegated to a bin on the dark side of Europa. There's laughably even less diversity in the stats people pursue than D2. Main stat+vitality, or even just main stat, and that's it. At least a D2 build guide would say things like "strength until archon plate, dexterity until max block". There's no reason to even do that anymore.

I am also fascinated by how much more of a solo game it feels like to me, particularly in the late game. Grouping up for progression is fucking suicide in inferno, and I just don't feel like playing with other people like I should in a Diablo game. I'm not exactly sure what causes this, the perfect storm of B.net 2.0 being awful, the 4 man player limit and the horrible core game mechanics mix together to make me just want to solo and certainly never bother with joining public games.

The itemization is just otherworldly bad. Like, I don't even know how they could make it so bad. So many people were yelling at them all throughout the beta "THE ITEMS SUCK" and they said "WE ARE WORKING ON IT" and this is what we got? How did we get this after examples like Diablo 2 LoD, Titan Quest Immortal Throne, MedianXL and so many other loot whore aRPGs exist? It's like the developers understood NOTHING about what made Diablo's item hunt interesting.

It's like the Phantom Menace in gaming form, probably the worst case of gaming blue balls in history. In the words of Plinkett, never again will something be so wildly anticipated or a bigger disappointment. I mean, how much more could you possibly fuck up the real, core mechanics of a Diablo game? The apologists will defend it to the bitter end, the critics will give it high ratings because it's Blizzard and Diablo, but holy fuck, at the end of the day: Diablo 3 is awful.

That's what I thought and posted after my first playthrough, but some members claimed that was the most idiotic comparison they ever heard  the rainbow level is just as worse of an insult to the original diablo fans than jar jar binks ever was. People had their hopes up for a game of epic proportions and instead what we got was a, I feverishly waited 12 years for this kiddie crap shell of a game.

I enjoyed it as a single casual playthrough. It was a decent little game, felt good to play, had some interesting ideas, and a nice sense of progression with constant skills unlocking. Things start to fall apart FAR too quickly for a Diablo game. It's just got no depth, no longevity for me. The skills, the items, the enemies, they just don't mix in the way that D2 did it in order to create that perfect addictive game. I should not be sick of a Diablo game 3 weeks after it came out. So either my taste in games changed drastically (unlikely because I still enjoy D2) or the game is not even a shadow of its predecessor.

Well, there are now officially dupes for Diablo 3.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=cohsGbA_9-A

LOL, always online DRM to prevent hacks, and dupes my ass. Fuck you Blizzard.

He's not duping. Do you even know what that means?

This will probably get hotfixed very soon anyway.

edit: but whatever, won't be discussing this game here anymore. Seems like every day one person comes in, shitposts something like "Hey guys Diablo 3 sucks mirite???" and the anti-D3 circlejerk starts again.

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that the definition changed.

If he isn't duping, then how is he giving away gloves, and gets kicked from the game, and joining with the very same gloves back in his inventory?

How can you defend this piece of crap game?

??
the mobs still reheal, dont they?
if I die and respawn in town or in another "level" they always regen. does that not happen anymore?

They reheal, but very slowly. If left alone too long, they reset entirely, which tends to happen by the 3rd or 4th death because of the res timer. I usually kite them toward a respawn point to get back into the action asap. Tyrael is handy to keep them in combat if I die too often because they won't reset. However, too many deaths (long fight) can result in the enrage timer. That doesn't happen to me anymore since I've geared up, but that was my cheap tactic a while ago.
