Only way to get Modulus Reports is Ada's bounties and I've blown through them all.

You get 2 (i think?) by just running a forge. I guess I kinda left that part out but yeah, you'll run low eventually then need to just run forges back to back to replenish your stock. Luckily though, you can just requeue so no running anywhere. I used that time to work on Triumphs in the forges specifically for the Blacksmith title. Almost done with my Le Monarque kills in Gofannon.

Izanagis Burden kills in the Izanami forge is going to suck. Majorly. I fear I might throw a few rounds just killing things. Sorry future teammates.

I unlocked the third Forge and got the bow. As usual, I got boned on the rolls. Explosive head and "sneak bow." The latter being totally fucking useless.

You get 2 in any so not really. I only suggested Gofannon for that Triumph i was working on that needed that one specifically and its always helpful to try and get more than one thing done at a time.

Twice now I've seen a situation where I've dismantled two black armory weapons in a row and the first time I'll get a schematic and the second time I'll get a few legendary parts but that's it. Kind of bummed that I keep seeing that happen.

Yup, you need forged weapons for that. If it requires all BA weapons yeah, that's basically the bow/pulse in kinetic, hand cannon/sniper/auto rifle in energy and hammerhead/sword in heavy. Whatever you do though, do NOT turn it in once its complete. It'll pay off once you get to a certain step in the Mysterious Box quest.

Now that I've spent some time doing all things Black Armory I wish the requirements and allotments across the boards were a little less stingy and the overall process of things was a little more streamlined and efficient.

I think I don't mind it as much as I can work on other Triumphs when just running forges for Modulus Reports. Kinda helps me not think that I'm just wasting my time.

I'm really digging Braytech.org recently for tracking things and keeping an eye on stats. The "This Week", "Checklists" and "Account" tab really help keep what you're working on organized.

Completed all the black armory forges and the Izanagi's Burden questline, made sure to complete it today before the reset as Shattered Throne won't be available again until sometime in February. Izanagi's Burden is an exotic sniper rifle that hits like a truck, it's great for those who want to use their power weapon for something other than whisper.

Has a unique look too, I read somewhere it was inspired by an actual weapon being developed for military purposes.

Drexion its super fun using it against Strike bosses. It really does hit like a truck when you proc Honed Edge. If only it had Snapshot sights...

I love Izanagis Burden. The other day, my friend and I ran by a HVT, and I proceeded to delete it from existence when it was still near full hp. My friend immediately said, "WTF did you just do to that guy??" Such a satisfying gun to use lol. It's given me a reason to not run my Threat Level when I feel like switching things up.


Also, anyone not done the Mysterious Data Pad stuff, yet? I want to actually get it done this week.

Didnt get my normal playtime in before work today, had a Dr appointment. Yesterday was a productive day for me, Finished sleeper simulant quest, finished polaris lance quest, got 3rd forge unlocked, got all three keys for 1st 3 forges, skyburners oath dropped which came in handy for the cabal in the leviathon. Had a rare bounty drop for BA so I'll have that ready to turn in for the mysterious box.

Last night we got a record frame prep. Grabbed a Pulse frame from Ada and wanted to try something new so we went to Artifacts Edge on Nessus and dropped down to the left. If you stand on that plateau and quickly kill all the vex with a pulse, more will almost immediately spawn. You can get all the multikills in a minute or so. As soon as we finished, the Saboteur spawned and we melted him for 10 seeds. Jumped right on our sparrows and headed to the other Saboteur spawn in the Hallows and melted him for the second set of 10 seeds.

All in all that took 4-5 minutes maybe. Kinda depended on the Saboteur spawning but it was super quick.

Nice! Do you happen to have the Oathkeeper exotic arms? They pair wonderfully with Le Monarque so the poison arrow stays procced no matter how long you hold back the arrow.

One thing i've noticed is without those arms, the time when you fully pull back the arrow and the poison arrow will proc is VERY small. You need to shoot real quick. When you get a crit AND the poison arrow procs the AOE DOT is quite powerful.

Since I'm still confusing the quests... I saw you say Shattered Throne is gone until February. Where does that put me since I'm still trying to get the full set of armor and Jotunn and... gosh, what else?

Yup, I have Oathkeeper. I really have been big on my Graviton Forfeit helmet, though. Nightstalker Way of the Wraith. Lots of crouched precision kills and I'm ghosting. It's my favorite way to play but I will experiment.

Ok so you're mainly working on opening the Mysterious Box right and the steps are:

1. Find the Mysterious Box location from the Volundr Forge
2. Open the locks for the hand, a butterfly, a fishhook by completing the Volundr, Izanami and Gofannon Forges with Maximum Temper (by shooting drones mid-battle)
3. Get the Black Armory Key Mold quest from Ada-1
4. Kill Watchers in the Leviathan Underbelly, then get Glimmering Amethyst from opening Public Event or Strike chests
5. Clear the Bergusia Forge with Maximum Temper (by shooting drones mid-battle)
6. Complete a rare Black Armory Bounty
7. Complete the Shattered Throne dungeon
8. Complete a special version of The Pyramidion Strike
9. Complete a special version of the Bergusia Forge
10. Return to Ada-1 to receive the Izanagi's Burden

I know you cleared the Underbelly to get the Watchers so that was step 4. You need to get the 4th key to open the box by completing Bergusia at max temper.

As for Shattered Throne, yes, its a Dungeon in the Dreaming City that is only available during full curse week which just ended (its also the dungeon that contains the quest for the Wishender exotic bow from a few months ago but that's a whole nother story). That's why so many people were salty about not getting the Rare Black Armory bounty because if they couldn't find one, they'd have to wait 3 weeks to finish this questline and get their Izanagis Burden sniper.

The Shattered Throne itself is amazing. Its longer than a strike but not quite a raid and has a max fireteam size of 3. Three of the encounters have mechanics but they're pretty simple and there are countless guides out there.

There is a Triumph for completing it, completing it solo, and completing it solo without dying. I really, really recommend a full fireteam. Chances are when Full Curse week comes around again, there will be no shortage of people trying to team up to run it on LFG.

So yeah, that quest is chasing the Izanagis Burden exotic sniper.


Now Jotunn, getting that is just like Le Monarque. Upon forging Powerful Frames, you have a chance to also get Jotunn. Entirely separate from the above questline.

If you're an auto fan, its the best. Even better with a Rampage Mod you have a chance of getting from Ada-1.

I am in a random clan that occasionally does some crucible action, but is that it? I went through the Dreaming City and outside of getting a few massively inaccessible region chests do I just join up on raids and strikes and do that? See about pushing my 560 warlock to 600 and then start another class?

Just like with the first three forges, just as the second round starts, there will be two small drones that spawn at two set locations of the arena. It would be kinda hard to explain in writing here where they are but there are plenty of video's that talk about it.. i believe Datto has one. If you kill them both, a chest will spawn near the forge after you beat the boss giving you the key.

You should be able to go up to 650 even if you don't own the season pass. This is the first time they've done it that way. In the past you always got left behind, so you'd get crushed in things like Iron Banner where level advantage is turned on.

But yeah, end game is essentially about collecting gear by doing your weekly/daily challenges, powerful bounties, and raids. If you want to level other characters, be sure to pass your highest level weapons over to them, so they get a boost and will level faster. Iron Banner is up this week, so you have a chance to get an extra 7 powerfuls over most weeks.

Totally new people have little to no direction each week and i blame Bungie entirely. They don't explain things well enough at all.

You have two jobs in D2 right now. Get to max power level and have fun. Now, to be the most efficient in getting to max power, there may be things that you don't enjoy or can't get into a fireteam to complete but don't sweat it. There is no race to max power unless that's just something you're trying to do.

Its like this. On Tuesdays at 12 Noon EST, the Weekly Reset occurs. This resets each activity's opportunity to gain Powerful Gear. Powerful Gear is just gear that is (usually) going to have a power level bump over your current maximum power level.

When you login on Tuesday after reset and open your map, you'll likely see a lot of gold stars around things. You're goal is in 7 days before the next reset is to make all those gold stars go away by completing the "Challenges" that they represent. For instance, if you were to click on Crucible, then hover over Quickplay, you'll see that you have two challenges, one "Daily" for completing one Crucible match that will reward Powerful Gear and another "Weekly" that requires 5x Crucible matches that also rewards Powerful Gear. Now, what activities have a "daily" challenge rotates each day.

Going around the map, the same goes for Vanguard (heroic story missions/strikes/nightfalls), Gambit, and the Flashpoint planet that week. Dreaming City's rewards also have the highest chance of being much higher power level than your current max so if you can only do one thing in a week, prioritize Dreaming City.

In the Tower before you begin a day of play, always pick up Bounties from all the vendors. Getting 20 bounties done in a week will reward you with a Powerful Gear drop from Ikora as well.

As I was typing this you replied saying something about solo play being over and that is FAR from the truth. Beyond raids and potentially Nightfalls, you can do mostly everything solo (outside of the stuff that matchmakes you).

That makes a ton of sense. I was playing with another buddy over the weekend.. farting around helping out with a few quests and crap, and we ended up in a half an hour discussion on all the weirdly nuanced shit I figured out (gun modding being one of them), why the 'farm' was important, but will be more so later, sparrows, etc. Yeah this game is is pretty much plunk in the deep end and go.

If you're an auto fan, its the best. Even better with a Rampage Mod you have a chance of getting from Ada-1.

I had a backup mag mod and thought that was great but Rampage Spec is the only mod that gun needs. The full extra second of Rampage makes all the difference in the world. Easily stays procced during reload now and makes keeping 3x much longer.

The gun is even more devastating than it already was.
