nice, I have not had 1 auto rifle drop for me since forsake has startedlol
Think I've had one crappy one drop. I'm still using an infused 520ish Origin Story for an auto rifle.nice, I have not had 1 auto rifle drop for me since forsake has startedlol
I think using the boost auto completes all the previous story quests essentially locking you out of them. If you want to do the previous expansion content you need to run it all with a non boosted character.so is destiny 2 now as good as destiny 1?
I also saw that upgrading a character for the latest expansion locks you out of previous expansions...?
Strange
Ascendant Challenge can kiss my butt. First person Super Mario platform in hell does not go to this game's strengths.
Whisper of the Worm. I just learned about this. I'm going to try for it if it can be done post Forsaken.
I just did Taken Blight on IO... I was looking for those three bosses and never saw them... nothing ever happened. Is this still the way to access The Whisper mission?

I'll try this.
^^
EDIT: Some guys did this and opened the portal. I was able to jump into that portal...it says the mission kicks in but it's an empty cavern and nothing happens so I guess that's either a glitch or something else? Of course that's the kind of luck I'm going to have.
I got the Ace of Spades on Saturday, I think. What really makes it shine is having some armour with hand cannon perks on it, like hand cannon dexterity. I have some stand asides with hand canon dexterity which makes the Aces of Spades even better.
Not into Breaker in the Crucible whatsoever.
I just got the Phoenix Protocol exotic as a random drop on a Heroic mission, not even at the ending. A random enemy dropped it. My first Forsaken Exotic and its a useful one!
Me either, the fact that you can win the fight for the middle point and the other team will still get the win for defending their base point is BS. If you manage to get the mid point you should get 1 point, taking their base should give you 2Not into Breaker in the Crucible whatsoever.
I think its worth it, buying the forsaken expansion give you access to a free character boost. If you use the boost you skip ALL the story content from before forsaken, but you can still choose to do all the prior story content and level normally if you don't use it. All previous strikes has been updated to be included in forsaken so your not really missing out on old content that way.Perhaps a few of you would be able to weigh in on this...
I picked up Destiny 2 at launch (top end digital edition etc), but I did not end up playing it very much since. I've heard from others that since the Forsaken expansion, the game is even better and lots of old and new players alike have joined. Do you feel its worthwhile to start playing again now? Also, will I still be able to see old, pre-expansion content (ie raids, story stuff etc) or has much of it either been technically removed and/or players ignore it these days. Is there any content no longer accessible? Finally, if I am correct the pre-order item for Forsaken is included in the Deluxe edition even post launch, right?
Trying to decide if its worth investing and giving it a shot again. Thanks.

Yeah, definitely not a fan of Breakthrough. Was trying to use it to pad my stats for the Chaperone quest and it actually set me back 10% and took like 30 minutes to play a single game. Beyond that, it's just not fun.
I really, really wish I had infused more weapons with Arc energy along the way. I basically only have a bow, the Mida Mini (which sucks now), and a couple power weapons. I have like 40 weapons that use the other elements, but the Arc part of this quest is killing me.
I'm done with Breakthrough unless I'm forced to do it for some specific criteria.
Which quest are you on?
Fortunately for me I had a color uriels gift and an arc inaugural address so the entire chaperone quest went very fast. Got my 15 Gambit kills in 1 match which was epic, good snipers and trading launcher got me many invasion kills lolI'm doing the Chaperone quest. It begins with 20 shotgun kills (annoying, but not that horrible in Rumble mode) and then it goes over a 3-tier quest that requires kills with different elements. It doesn't say how many, but I'm thinking it's 20-25. Each time you die it lowers your % a little, too. Void was super easy since the Graviton Lance uses that. I got it in 2 matches. Solar's also on several good weapons, so that one's no big deal, too. The catch is that I don't have any good Arc weapons. After this portion I think the final part involves killing other players in Gambit, but it counts both invaders and invasions. I'm just going to Sleeper that portion.
It was a PITA definitely but Ace is totally worth it if you like hand cannons at all. That combined with Lucky Pants boots are in my top tier rotation now for sure.
The one big plus to it's perk is that after you activate its bonus damage perk it lasts until death. You can switch to your secondary or power weapons and then back to your ace and you will still have the perk. Also awesome how the perk makes the ace a 2 shot gun in crucible of you can nail your head shots.Got the Ace but only played with it in Gambit so far. Initially, I feel like I can put out more DPS with my Midnight Coup at 3x rampage and the fast reloads of outlaw.
Maybe where I can spare not having my exotic Whisper/Sleeper equipt like Crucible it would make more sense.
The Firefly though, that is real cool having on a handcannon.
Check your collections, you can generate new copies of your old legendary itemsHa, that kinda echos what I figured it would be like. Maybe the catalyst helps?
Side note, I need to get another Perfect Paradox or Hawthornes shotgun. It would be nice to have one for my kitetic slot. More often than not my IKELOS SG is in my energy slot as I feel like I can't do enough DPS without it but there are times where I'd rather run something else there but still have a shotgun.
Hawthorns Field Forged shotgun carried me all through year 1 in my Heavy slot. So many memories. Luckly the IKELOS gives me that feeling again.

The Field Forged Shotgun is actually better than the Perfect Paradox in some ways. It definitely doesn't kick up as badly. With the PP you have to start off aiming at their waist knowing that the recoil is going to make your next shots jump way up.
It doesn't do quite as much damage (mainly in PvE), but it's not that far off. It's always fun when all 3 players have a full auto shotgun vs. a close-range boss. I've seen some strike bosses legitimately go down in less than 3 seconds with supers, grenades, and full-auto shotguns hitting them at the same time.
