TFTCentral have also just confirmed via Twitter that
and
so like the U2414H and U2715H models when it comes to scaling
I was hoping the input lag would as good as the U2715H

I am looking at getting 3 of these to replace 2x U2410s. I can live without the SD card reader, but I *really* like having a couple of USB ports on the side. My computer is on the floor sort of out of the way, do people just dangle an extension out of the back of one of the LCDs?
It's barely any different?! About 2ms slower which is nothing noticeable

I am interested in getting this monitor when the price decreases more. Would a mid 2009 MacBook Pro 15inch be able to drive this monitor at full resolution?
My U2515H was delivered today. Besides some clouding/bleed in the corners, it's a great display. My only complaint is that the higher PPI made everything on the screen much smaller than I anticipated. So, I'm having to use scaling and have already encountered some annoyances. On the other hand the increased PPI makes the Windows UI and text look great with scaling enabled.
It would be able to but not sure how well your computer would run. I have a 2008 15" with the two graphics cards and when I drive a 1080p monitor my computer gets real slow. I think our macbook's have similar graphics cards. Which one does yours have? I would recommend trying it out on a friends monitor or an electronics store. But I will be using this monitor with my custom pc.
Also I just got mine for $417 shipped. I found a deal on slickdeals.net. It is the cheapest I have seen yet.
Mine was just cropped a little as I used awesome screenshot for quickness, so it's the size of my browser window, but it is 1:1 for text size comparison.
The right screen has noticeable IPS glow while the left one has next to none. IPS glow is new to me as the 2007FPs didn't have IPS glow at all! :/
Just to be clear, the right screen has IPS glow when it is in landscape mode as well as vertical mode?

it seems like texts, icons and other ui elements are same size with typical 15inch laptop screen at 1366x768 resolution. Is it true ?
Using this calculator, you can set the resolution and do a hit and miss experimentation on the diagonal size to figure out how big the display needs to be to get the same PPI as another display.
I'm not an expert on graphics card tech. so I'm not sure if it'll work or not. Here's a couple of screenshots, hopefully someone more knowledgeable than myself will be able to offer some insights.

Dell U2515H 1138:1 contrast ratio, with a 0.11 black depth. (calibrated)
That is fantastic, it's the best I've ever seen from an IPS panel.
Thats good but shame it is not a low glow screen and is not semi glossy coating, if it had those 2 things I might have got one, especially at the price they are selling for.
I have the same specs on my laptop. when I drive a 1080p monitor it has troubles keeping up in certain situations. Ie watching videos and editing photos
That's a bummer. I was planning on getting this monitor for the sole purpose of having more screen space to do photoshop work.
So you'll continue to hold out for the perfect screen, presumably at a similar price point?![]()
If those minor things are so critical to put you off what is possibly the most well-rounded screen at anything close to this price point in years, then I can only imagine you're doing extremely colour- and light-critical work and better start saving for a Eizo ColourEdge or NEC
How often do you look at a completely dark screen in complete darkness that glow is such a major factor? I'll be editing photos for large prints (I've done a few 60"x40" canvases) and even this doesn't concern me greatly in balance. I've worked on these screens already with daylight pouring in the window behind me and that coating is a non-issue. If you're working/gaming in the correct light then it shouldn't be an issue for anyone.
But ultimately, each to their own, I guess![]()
Well, the review seems really positive, the 1138:1 and 0.11 blacks for an IPS after calibration is really impressive as well as really decent factory settings.
My only concern is the anti glare coating. Maybe it's not that bad after all?![]()
Depends on the game maybe, but with most games I think it's fine with AA off. I've only really done 2 games so far, Battlefield 4 which i played for like 20 minutes, and Watch Dogs which I played for a few hours, and especially in Watch Dogs I felt AA isn't needed at all (it also looked miles better than 1080p). In Battlefield you could see some slightly jagged edges now and then, so maybe that's an example where some AA would be best, although it still looked fine for me with the AA off. (I used a GTX970, so had everything on max settings.)It's more with gaming that the white glow is a problem... Any game with dark scenes etc. But it would not bother me at desktop use probably, overall it looks like I good monitor and possibly worth a try as they simply never seem to make good glossy IPS screens except for the apple ones and white glow is a problem on 90% of IPS screens also.
Has anyone tried gaming on this and is the PPI high enough that you do not need anti aliasing at all?
