I'm not sure when this will be released, but I'm intrigued by it. I've been trying to decide between getting a 27-inch 1440p display or a 24-inch 2160p display, but this 25-inch 1440p display seems like a great compromise between the two.

It will feature a thin bezel like the U2414H and other recent Dell displays.

    LG AH-IPS Panel: LM250WQ
    2560x1440
    Thin Bezel
    117.49 PPI
    0.2162mm dot pitch
    Late 2014 Release?

It's already certified with Energy Star. I'm not sure how far in advance of release this typically happens.

Here is what TFT Central had to say about the panel earlier this year.

I'm very intrigued by this monitor. That tftcentral link is the only mention of it on the whole internet though, and we're pretty far into 2014. Is there any other indication it exists?

How odd. I hadn't seen anything about this before - or anything anywhere else about a 25" 2560x1440 panel.

I wonder if it is still planned? Or where it will fit in their line... maybe they're going to do a GB-LED backlight and make this a wide gamut model, since they don't have a new one of those announced yet?

If they do make it I hope it turns out to be glossy like the u2415h, I love that high PPI on a 25 inch monitor, so I can enjoy games from up close without having to wear glasses.

I just found this on YouTube. At 16 seconds into the video the camera pans up and you can see the model is LG 25" QHD Neo BLADE. It looks exactly like a Dell display with thin bezels. You can see that it has a glossy screen like the new S2415H and S2715H.

So far all of the monitors with Neo Blade panels -- those are the ones with a thin bezel -- have been sRGB.

I wish it wasn't 60hz though.... otherwise I would think the price would be justified.

What do you mean? All of the Ultrasharp displays are 60Hz, and this 25 is between the price of the 24 and 27 inch Ultrasharp displays.

Today is one month from when I first found reference to the U2515H, and now the product page is up on the Dell website for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Release is getting closer!

After it comes down in price a bit this might be a nice upgrade from my 3x HP ZR24w. Moderately larger size, much slimmer bezels, and a bump in resolution!

I've been considering a monitor upgrade recently... This seems like a good choice to put next to the U2715H, been using my u2412ms for about 3 years now

Any new info on this monitor?

I was looking at 1440p 27".... but 25" 1440p would be ideal as could probably get away without using AA so the performance in games wouldn't be much worse than 1080p 4xaa. All it needs is low input lag, semi glossy / glossy screen and low glow and I will buy!

Any info on release date in UK for this?

I also think the size/resolution compromise here makes a lot of sense, excited about this monitor. I write code for a living.

They just came up for sale here in Norway, and I ordered one, although it looks like delivery times are > 7 days.

Make sure to post screenshots of games without AA!

I want to see if this monitor has good enough PPI that AA is not needed, 1440p + AA = far too much GPU power!

Also any screenshots of IPS glow and screen coating (matte or semi glossy?) would be great.

If you have a colorimeter some contrast and stock color accuracy measurements would be good as well.

The only way to know how good/bad aliasing is on the monitor is to see it in person.

True but getting an idea before buying it is also useful. A video would be even better than screen shots.

This needs to be "low glow / TW polarizer", semi glossy and low input lag and it will be a win.

Managed to get one of these ordered today for $449 US dollars plus tax! But man, Dell's website is such an absolute mess. After five duplicate order acknowledgements, each separated by about an hour, I've finally managed to get an order placed successfully. Apparently the first order didn't go through for some reason, so the sales rep I spoke to was able to put it through for me successfully.

At checkout it prompted me to use coupon code 78M4SHHJ4JC9WW for 10% Dell electronics and accessories, and figured it was worth a shot. Worked perfectly, and brought the order down to $449 plus tax.

My 2011 27" iMac is on it's last leg, so this, along with a Mac Mini, is going to be my replacement system. I've been pretty spoiled by my iMac's display, so I'm hoping this measures up. Expected delivery date is 1/22, so if I happen to get it in hand before anyone else here, I'd be glad to post some thoughts. I did find a reddit post of someone else who has already got their hands on one who answered some questions:
    http://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/2rdp2l/i_just_bought_a_dell_u2515h_1440p_25_ips_monitor/

Quick question about Dell UltraSharp monitors in general. I'm assuming the audio out port on these monitors outputs any HDMI audio a set of attached speakers. Is that correct?

I'll see what I can do, just gotta install a game on my Mac then..

Shipping date of my order has been updated to jan 23rd.

Forgot to mention, the monitor was surprisingly cheap here in Norway, costing the current equivalent of about $370. Not sure whats up with that, to be honest, it being cheaper here than in the US I mean. That price is including 25% salestax. The Norwiegan kroner is weak atm, but it's still very cheap.

Update in case anyone in the Nordics are reading this:
On the Norwegian Dell website the monitor costs 4000 kr, but Dustin.no sells it for 2800 kr, for some crazy reason.

Well much to my surprise (and despite Dell saying it wouldn't ship until 1/22), my U2515H has shipped! Delivery estimate is Wednesday 1/14. Excited to get my hands on this thing this week!

I just noticed that the EnergyStar site lists this monitor as a TN Film display. That can't be right, can it? Is that site known to be pretty accurate?

My U2515H was delivered yesterday. I'll post some more detailed thoughts and pictures later, but my first impressions are extremely positive. Dell actually accidentally sent me two monitors (thanks to the order fiasco I described above), so I'll probably open both and pick the best of the two. But the first one I opened actually looks really solid. Doesn't seem to have any dead/stuck pixels, and the backlight is reasonably uniform, with it being a tad brighter in the corners. It's fairly minor though, and very much acceptable IMO.

More thoughts and pictures later today!

I'm really perplexed as to why the Dell U2715H seems to sell for just under double the price of this U2515H and the only difference seems to be 27 vs 25"

Specially funny since they have the same resolution and, thus, the smaller has a bigger density, and should be more expensive to make.

Unless, of course, I'm missing a lot of things :D :D

What is the coating like? Is it the same matte as the other recent dell screens? or is it a semi glossy coating?

Also can you check for IPS glow and input lag?
