:sigh: my computer got shutoff in my college dorm due to their power outage so i've been pointsless for quite a while now, and the PC won't get back online until the 5th. At least this lappy is crunching malariacontrol for a measly couple hundred boinc ppd
Where do you go to college? I have the same schedule as you except I brought my i7 home with me![]()
Clemson University. I didn't feel like lugging my computer to my car at the time, and I figured I have such a nice Sony Vaio that I should at least use it... (I hardly use it in Clemson since I have my desktop)
Awesome, glad to hear this. I still want to put together a dedicated dnet box after my i7 folding rig is done and now having non-beta 64-bit and GPU clients will make this much more attractive.Tobit there is a new Windows/Linux CUDA 2.2 (non beta) and new Windows x64 (non beta) out today and I would think a new Stream client will be on the way within a few days.
I think I'll join Eric on SOB for a while and put some cores on Poem and see if we can get back up into the 9k's for our Poem score in the DC-Vault.
Yes, Cosmo and Poem are the only Boinc projects under 9K in the Vault.I think before I start a new project (either NFS or Muon1) I am going to do a little more work in Cosmology. Cosmology and POEM are the only BOINC projects we dont have 9K vault points in correct?![]()
I am having some trouble with my i7 box being able to run SoB, it seems to restart when I run it. I am having problems just running this computer right now without it restarting. I think the last few were a bad batch of primegrids. Not sure but it seems to restart less if I do not run SoB.
check all your voltages and make sure they are right.. try running p95 large and small FFT's and see if its stable..
Yes, Cosmo and Poem are the only Boinc projects under 9K in the Vault.
If you do decide to run NFS you may want to de-select the " lasievef " work unit in your NFS account preferences if you have less then 8gb+ of ram. The rest fit nicely under 4gb ram on a quad core which I complete in about 22-24 minutes.
So I tried some things to see if I could get everything stable and so far it has not worked. I checked my power settings, still my computer reboots. I upped my voltages slightly and made sure I they were off auto.
What are some good stable voltages for an i7 (running at stock)?
Congrats on 5 million points in Collatz metallicafan !
Thats a big hill to climb.![]()
I am running the stability tests now to see.
