Cyberpunk 2077

Does this look right for max settings? This is the ground out in the desert somewhere. I'm skeptical because that looks... not great and I am getting fraemrates higher than I'd expect. 1440p ultrawide, 5600x, 4080 Super, getting around 60fps with everything cranked to the absolute max and DLSS on quality. Even turning dlss off completely I still get around 45 fps. Seems a lot higher than the benchmark reviews would indicate.

For reference my rtx 3070 I'd like like 10-15 fps
Are you still seeing that? It looks weird, like you are somehow running less than screen res (dlss on Perf)?

Probably added in with the 2.0 Update. It would make sense to be there even if someone doesn't buy the DLC. I bet that door didn't even open before 2.0. They redid some areas too, the city center has the new sloping pathway to get down into it, before it was harder to find. And I think some buildings that were inaccessible have been built and the doors open now.

I'm not even attempting to play this game on my 2070
Going to wait until I finally join the modern age with a new system

I can run it almost full eye candy with my 3080 12Gb (@34x14) with some mods and a few things turned down (motion blur can die in a fire). I don't know what my frames are but it's smooth and playable (and F'n beautiful).

Pay attention to the install routine- I forget what version I was looking at but some are very picky... (but vortex should self install)

I went through it step by step and its installing the mod collection now.

Cool- I only mention because I wrapped myself completely around the axel installing the FSS to FSR mod (but it was totally worth it).

Every ReShade profile I've ever seen had some sort of weird drawback in certain lighting conditions. It could look amazing in the dark, and look like shit in the day light or vice versa. Sometimes they'd make weather look horrible, etc. I don't ever bother with them.

Yeah this isn't a resahde, just a pure LUT colour grade adjustment that works perfectly.
Yeah, those generally do. ReShade's are bullshit. Though sometimes the LUT adjustments mess with things. Starfield's nightclub on Neon comes to mind. The LUT mod that makes the rest of the game look good kills all the ambient lighting in there. That's Bethesda for you though.

Yup same with me, yet to see a single Reshade that actually is good other than the initial "oh that pops" and then you realise most things are incorrectly oversaturated or something, like how Forza Horizons looks with saturated contrast and colours.

I actually think the ReShade included with MEUITM for the original Mass Effect is pretty good. I don't recall having any annoyances with it unlike most of the ones I've tried. The one for ME2 was pretty bad, though.

Did i get this right. Install (at a membership cost) is 1.5 hours; But free is 2-4 hours? Insane. Is that premium install time unattended? I says semi-automatic. Whatever that means.

I'm about to do a second run in this game.
The first time was back in 2021 as a Nomad. This time I want to try out the Corpo and also do Phantom Liberty.

I've been trying to find out which is the best way to lead up to Phantom Liberty.
Some say to start after Transmission with the Voodoo Boys, others say you should play thru the whole game again and then start it.
I know some of it has to do with the endings of the base game and that Phantom Liberty adds a few new ones, that doesn't really bother me since I've seen the OG ones already with Silverhand.

Is there any advantage to starting it off from Transmission or is it more beneficial to wait till endgame? Pros and cons?

Doing PL content early has some benefits. Probably the biggest thing is the relic skill tree, which will make your character a little stronger. Less impactful, you get to unlock some of the best weapons. That's about it. There are some different dialogue options depending on when you enter Dogtown area, but it has zero impact on your playthrough.

Took the same path as you're planning. Nomad at release and did a full Corpo replay before Phantom Liberty. As good as Phantom Liberty was, game fatigue had set in when I got there. I don't think you'll enjoy it as much playing a full run beforehand. Maybe when Hanako first is waiting for you so after you can try the new endings right away.

Yeah that's what I was leaning towards.
I've decided to get into it when Songbird calls me up, and that way I won't be so OP as I was endgame during the first play through.
Thanks for your opinion.

Man I forgot how fun this game is! I also forgot I got a bunch of free loot from GOG stashed at my digs.

I like how the middle mouse button is now rebind-able but enter still isn't smh. My template for GlovePIE still works so no biggie. Mouse sensitivity seems to have been reduced big time as well.

My old settings were over ridden I guess and it put everything on High with RT @ Ultra and DLSS on Quality, which gave me 45-50fps @ 4K.
I finally got to use FG in a game and it gives me anywhere from 55-75fps which is doable for me. The cut scenes are harder on my rig than the game is.

I still think I might lower shadows and some other things to keep it in the 60's.

I also don't like how the Corpo starts you off in an office building and straight to a bar, where as the Nomad has you in the desert with a car so you can fuck around before going to NC.
Oh well.

If you're up for configfile editing, everything is customizable in <gamedir>/r6/config/inputusermappings.xml

Ahhh that's good to know, since I'm no stranger to trouncing through some ini files and the like.

Especially since the "F" key still likes to take precedence when using Quickhacks, even after being rebound to the middle mouse button.

Damn downloaded Phantom Liberty and played on XSX on 60 fps mode, looks gorgeous and its pretty smooth. I cant wait for rtx 5090 when i buy and run this with path tracing.
