In another case of what some are calling “gamer entitlement,” CS:GO is being review bombed by players who previously spent money on the now free-to-play title. While the developers did provide a new Battle Royale mode, that wasn’t enough to quell the anger of fans, many of whom are demanding more than the simple loyalty badge they received for being prior investors. Long-time players also worry that F2P will lead to an influx of hackers and cheaters. Many negative reviews also take issue with the change to Prime matchmaking. Previously, Prime matchmaking was limited to players who added a legitimate phone number to their accounts and had played enough to attain Rank 21. Now, anyone who had purchased CS:GO prior to the switch to a free to play model has been elevated to Prime.
