I think I'm going to pick up CoD 4 for the multiplayer but I'm currently waiting for my step-up 8800gt to come in.
Anyone else going to get it? The demo was pretty good
Sending the roomie to go pick up my preorder, and I shall tear into it as soon as I get home from work.
Demo didn't float my boat, so to speak.
I can't wait to dive in. Those screenshots are *killer*
I want my damn 8800GT!
What's Best Buy's return policy on graphics cards?
2.5 hours left of work until I can dive in... *stares at clock again*
None of the stores around here even got it.

Boredsome made me look at your sig, you sir is bottlenecking.
Hmmm, well..... I just played multiplayer for a couple hours. I'm not overly impressed. The weapons and perks are really cool..... the gameplay is kinda tight.... but the air support (attack helicopters) you can call in (after getting 5 kills in a row) is pretty dumb.
There's a pretty strict endurance meter in place, keeping people from jumping around and sprinting too much. But there's still a little bit of 'dolphin diving' going on. Weapons switching is a little on the slow side - often to your demise.
I was also getting frustrated by playing on free-for-all servers, in where there were far too many players for the map. So you'd often get shot in the back after spawning, etc.... It would have been more fun with fewer players (on the maps I was on). On that note though, the maps are actually really cool. Very complex and detailed.
Right now TF2 is by far the better mp experience. But I'm gonna play it some more and see how it evolves. They really need to get rid of the noob air support crap though and focus on the gunplay.
After hearing that Epic screwed up Gears of War with no dedicated servers, I guess I will be getting CoD 4 sooner than I thought![]()
Multiplayer kicks some major ass as well.
I posted in the CoD4 pc vs. 360 thread, but wasn't answered yet so I'll post in this one. I purchased my CoD4 for the PC today. But now I am smacking myself in the head for not getting it for the 360. My friends are going to get it for the 360, split screen co-op, and my hdtv setup makes it all the better choice now. I don't think Best Buy lets anyone return an opened PC game due to the CD key, but is there hope if I exchange it for the 360 version and pay the difference?
I think I'll pass on this and get Crysis and Gears of War instead.
