It says it doesn't but it could be like Neweggs refurbs where you sometimes get them and sometimes not. I got a refurb from Newegg and I didn't even get the backplate for it or the right box for the board. It worked fine though :).

I would probably get that Ultra-D if I needed a board right now for the price.
 
While I didn't care for much on sale, I'd like to agree with the others and tell the whiners to STFU!!! They may not have much in this sale, but I'd like to point out that they do have great day to day deals. Try the Opteron 144 I just ordered for 130. I'd like someone to show me another e-tailer that has the reputation that Monarch does and offers a comparative price.
 
yeah, but im so damn paranoid about it being messed up. Especially when im building my own rig for the first time and wont be able to tell whats wrong

They had 2x1GB patriot DDR2-800 for 155$ thats fucking insane! too bad i already own a pair of 5400C4's or ide be all over them.

I bought a Newegg refurb Ultra-D...it didn't come with the backplate, but all I had to do was call DFI and they shipped one to me for free. Worth a shot.

You can now get a custom system from us using these configurators and get rebates. We didn't see any reason the parts customers should have all the money coming to them only. So we worked with our partners and this is the result

yeah, this was a real pain when i was configuring a system last month when i couldnt get the rebates
 
Crap, I think I missed out on the sweet deal for the Lian Li PC-777B case for 125$

Edit: OK, I had this case in my cart. And now it's unlisted on the deals page. So if I checkout my cart, does this mean I still can get the case even if its not listed on the page. Is there some sort of reserve thing if its in somebody's cart?

from my experience on their page, when its in cart/ or save quote it won't reserve one.

but IMO if you were to purchase it, you could probaly get it for that price, although it is probaly out of stock

I woud like to say something about Monarch Computer.

I recently ordered a 520w OCZ Powerstream PSU from Monarch Computer.

The website said it was in stock.

I ordered the PSU on Sunday.

Monday came and went - website shows that it's being processed.

Ok, no worries - that's fairly normal.

Tuesday came and went - status has not changed.

Ok, I'm getting minorly concered.

Wednesday arrives.

I phone and ask where's my PSU? They said it has to be moved from some warehouse to their shipping dept. At that point, I was furious. I came close to cancelling right there. I said I'd give them one more day to get it out.

Thurday arrives - no tracking # and no status change.

I phone and ask where the f**k is my PSU. They finally admitted they had none in stock. I rechecked their website and it still said it was in stock. At that point I just cancelled the order and reordered the item from Newegg.com rush delivery FedEx overnight. I recieved my PSU from NewEgg on Friday (that's yesterday in my timezone).

That was my first and last order attempt at Monarch Computers. I'm done with them.

You can only f**k me once !!!

Wrong. The coupon for Opteron 165 had gone up to $67 from $60. :rolleyes:

No I was not expecting free parts but I thought that they would at the least offer a good price on the expert board. The egg has it for 176.00 no rebates.

I believe it is $179.99 + $5.25 shipping at Newegg. I'm ordering that board this weekend.
 
This is directed to all you piss-offs who forgot the meaning of competition and capitalism. We 'whiners' as you put it have a legitimate claim to 'whine'. First i guarantee you that some of us here are purchasers of huge amount of tech junk each month. And I'm not talking about a fan here or a psu there, I'm talking about hundreds of bucks of junk. Me personally just this month bought two soundcards (fatality and the platinum pro) two raptors and the 7900 gtx Sc. We are also the people who every 6 months build a whole new pc--are you listening here, im talking about from ground up (my next one will be the conroe).

Whats my point? Simple. We are sensitive to price discounts (two months ago i bought two amd 3500 cpus from monarch because they had it the cheapest). So if monarch spends time here ADVERTISING THEIR SO CALLED UNPRECEDENTED SALE than we take note. And only to find out we were lied.

Its that simple.

And anyway what are you blowhards complaining about. price competition benefits the consumer. Monarch--based on my purchasing history with them(which dates back very back) is not a very competitive company.
 
Man if I was Monarch I would stop the deals all together. Way too much grief, and angst for them.

Since capitalism was brought up(from a subjective viewpoint)...we realize profit motive is in the definition of capitialism yes? A company can't offer a discount on everything everyone wants or they cease to exsist. Not everyone is going to be happy. That's they way sales go. Sometimes they are great sometimes not. Most sale prices are a company clearing out inventory(which they have because no one wants), and the other sales are only bearly above wholesale to creeate traffic to the store on high profile items(this is what we all want). This wasn't really one of those sales....

Point is I see some people happy and some not. "Whining" non constructively publically isn't helping the guy that likes Monarchs deals. Be a man, and send a constructive PM,/email to Monarch or they are going to say well we can't offer everything for free and this is becoming a public scene, so no more deals at all. That ruins it for others.

For the record. Yes this seemed like a cleaning out of the junk drawer. Not a very good deal overall. On top of that I don't like even like Monarch and it seems every transactions with them goes wrong somehow. I don't even know why I am defending them but I just think alot of you are stressing way to much about a sale. Get outside and live a little.

Ok, I grabbed this at the Monarch Midnight sales deal, for 299.99 last night.I didnt see the clocks listed on the site, so i assumed it would be like the standard ATI x1800 crossfire edition at 625/720

Can anyone confirm the clocks?? as I was EXPECTING 625/720 from a Crossfire Edition x1800xt... Im wondering if this has 2.0ns ram like the x1800xl has, or if its the faster 1.x like the x1800xt
