Elipsn's new Opty 165 was my inspiration to get one myself. This is my second try. My first one (CCBWE 0551) was not a good overclocker at all. I need low voltage and decent overclocker.

Monarch when are you going to update your dated looking web site? Also I have looked for 10 minutes trying to find reviews from your customers on the products they bought and I haven't found them. I stopped looking after 10 minutes. I thought the forum might have it but after not looking hard I didnt see them. The web site gives the feeling of a little local store that I might find on pricewatch.

Didn't find it funny either as I was still debating on the Opty 165 deal which is now off. And they have nothing I need or want on sale. No AMD chips other than FX51 and FX55 which I can't afford. Just goes to show that if you snooze you loose. :mad:
 
i don't know what kind of business runs an april fools joke. This was not even funny. Monarch will lose alot of customers from this. Especially me who like to spend money

OK I do appreciate the gesture. But went through all the sale items and frankly I'm very disappointed. Nothing of value nothing worth what people here at this website would even consider. Sad truly sad.
 
I spoke to sterling and I realize that you and him worked very hard to make this happen, contacting each company such as evga and wd to make this happen. Alot of comprimises were made from what i understand. It was a great idea, but I think you guys just missed the ball.

I'M so disappointed, actually I'm pissed off. yesterday I could have gotten a brand new DFI ultra-d for $107, 2x1gb mushking pc4000 for $150 and an xfx 7900gt extreme for $315 all of these items at NEWEGG.COM. Yesterday when the countdown started. Unfortunately now the DFI ultra-d is $122, the memory is $207 and the Video card is out of stock. I could have gotten these items yesterday but I waited for Monarch.

Ok if it's april's fool day then tell us this is the joke and the actual specials will show up at midnight? :mad:

Either Off to newegg it is, I just lost the opportunity to save $100 on these parts.

THE JOKE WAS THAT IT STARTED at 9 but the joke is its starting early.

you took a chance like many people do... prices go up and down, its a gamble when you buy.

The video card prices are freaking horrible if you ask me. Not only the limited selection, but the prices for any high-end card seem to be rediculous. Countdown worthy? I think not. I passed up purchasing a video card from someone earlier today, that would have shipped out before the weekend because of monarch's countdown. Now I'll have to wait for monday to even get the card shipped. Thanks monarch. Suck it.
 
I don't see 2x1gb deals, I don't see opteron deals, I don't see Asus a8n32 sli or DFI-NF4 Expert deals, I don't see 7900gt or gtx, x1900xt or xtx deals. This is the stuff people want, unless I'm mistaken. The idea was right and I recognize the effort but the result was disappointing.

I think the general consensus however, was that this was going to be a "big" sale. Now granted, there are a few good deals......

However, I dont know if all the hype was necessary.....chalk one up on the letdown list.

Oh well, I'm sure the guys at monarch did the best they could.

dude, what do you expect us to do, laugh and rejoice. We recognize the effort but aren't blind by the disappointing result. The hype does not honor the deals. Yes you're right we lost. But we have the right to bitch man, just as you have the right to praise and glorify monarch's effort.
 
It's understandable that some people are annoyed (myself included), all hype and no deal make S a dull boy.
 
I'm not blaming monarch for anything. I realise I took a gamble and lost. Who cares? This was the most grandios sale I've ever seen, and when it came there was a shatty selection, and pretty retarded prices for what I (and based on what others have stated, they too) were looking for. I'm let down, and I'm bitching about it.
