Battlefield 6

Unfortunately after playing the new map a number of times I'm pretty much done with it. My friend who is also my teammate pointed out that the new map felt like liberation peak and mirak valley combined, nothing really original, just more of the same. We also found out that over 98% of the current Battlefield developers never had any experience with the Battlefield series, the lead developer being Vince Zampella was from COD, who unfortunately died in a recent car crash. So as far as the direction the game will be going who knows, but all indicators point to the fact that season 2 did not help BF6 much. So I'm moving on for now, I'm going to give Delta Force a go, maybe revisit BF6 at a later date.

Did a strikepoint match (CS style 4v4) it was KB/M vs gamepads. we didn't lose a round.

Was browsing Steam forum and came across this. Looks like I'm not the only one getting sick of OP console aimbot. Last game I played the top player on the enemy team went 50 to 10 as a gamepad player. Game is a joke for PC players and I'm just about done with it.
Could be vehicles or could be a very skilled controller player. The average BF player doesn't have very good aim and the average controller players are way worse. There are controller players out there that would own your average MnK player without aim assist and the same recoil on guns. I am against different recoil on the guns, but I have no issue with the current aim assist in BF6. It is not like in COD where they get superhuman reactions and the game does a lot of the aiming for them.

Going 50-10 isn't something special, it is just a bit more rare now that games in conquest are faster as you don't have time to rack up the kills if you go for objectives. Just need some decent medics and enough time, or just go for frags and it is very doable.

Typical defending.......

Aim assist seems to be weak and snipers need headshots. Not sure why everyone is complaining about controller aim assist as I rarely see any console close to the kill leaders in my games. I usually sigh when I see several controller players on my team as most of them end up in the bottom half and maybe 10% of the controller players are capable of getting into the top 10 on a team. The recoil should be the same between MnK and controller, but the aim assist is a non-issue IMO.

Probably happens 1 out of 20 games, or less, that I see a controller player with more frags than me. I often have 1-5 players ahead of me in the fragging department as I mostly go for objectives rather than outright frags and those ahead are generally MnK players. The few controller players capable of being the kill leaders would probably beat up on the average BF player on MnK even without aim assist.
How do you know the pc player isnt using a controller? You dont. Its obvious some players know how to turn it into an aimbot. Yeah yeah keep defending them.

Love how you were so triggered that you decided to double post. The reality is that a score of 50-10 is a good score as inf, but nothing special. I play MnK only and lots of times when I've had similar scores to that or better as inf with only inf-weapon kills.

There is no magical aim assist settings in BF6 official servers that turns it into an aimbot as snap is disabled and the aim assist itself is quit moderate. The only major advantage controller players get is the recoil reduction, which is quite a lot, but that is separate from the aim assist.

The brutal honest truth is that blaming aim assist in BF6 for ones own scores, instead of looking at where ones own skill is at, is weak minds trying to cope. Some players remember their "glory days" when they were a big fish in a small pond and don't like the feeling of being a small fish in a big pond. Others feel like they should be the best player in the world and try to find any excuse when they are struggling on the scoreboard.

It's not hard to aim in BF6, especially after all the movement nerfs and it has fairly basic gun play. No massive recoil pattern to learn like in CS or complex recoil control. Mostly just plain bursting and pulling a bit down to control the recoil. It is a fairly casual game, with currently probably the lowest average skill level out of the major MP FPS games. One can blame x, y and z for ones own performance or learn to live with the skill level one is at.

My guess this is someone using cheats/external device that lets them use MnK and it displays as a controller to the game, so they get the benefits of aim assist + mouse at the same time. It has been plaguing consoles for the past few years.

I'm a long-time decent BF player, since BFBC2. Top 9% K/D and top 2.5% damage/minute in BF6. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm not a noob. There is definitely something off with console players in BF6 and how well they do versus PC players.

I've never seen prior games like I did the other day with 5 out of the top 6 players on a team being console/gamepad players. This really never happened before in any BF, even with cross-play. Gamepad is inherently an absolutely awful way to control a first person shooter (first order controller versus mouse being zero-order), so whatever it is they are getting some serious assistance.

Something feels "off" about this game, hence the rapid-fall off in player count.

They have no idea if people are cheating. They cant even detail what cheating is anymore. But there is always the defending cuck that thinks nobody is cheating. That is what is hilarious. They dont ban they dont monitor. If they did the player numbers would vanish.

I really do not see what all the fuss is about. BF6 seems to be pretty closely balanced in regard to kb/m vs pads. It’s not wildly skewed like cod and halo. And yeah, there are probably cheaters out there, just like every other multiplayer fps, is what it is. We’re not talking about a counter strike tournament with 100’s of thousands of dollars on the line, it’s a casual af mp fps.. I’m nearly 40 and don’t consider myself good at these types of games at all anymore, but I can hop in and have a good time while hovering around 1.5 kdr, good enough for me.

So tell me.....If they can eliminate recoil on any input, Is that a form of cheating that is allowed? Why is that allowed? Cause if it wasn't they would lose the revenue? Can they even detect? Do they even care anymore? That's my point. If some new way to aimbot isn't detected and everyone is like wow that guy is good. It doesnt really matter anymore. They need the money and dont even monitor. They say they have a
3rd party cheat software detecting yeah yeah sure you do.

I have fun regardless but its like you run into players that walk right through whole squads and its like nobody bats an eye. Warzone is where it started and it just kept getting ignored.

Sorry about ranting but this is like a 7+ year complaint of mine.

As of now I don't really see much of an advantage of console/gamepad players. But that is just my casual observation.

If you are top 9% K/D from mainly inf, then you should have no issues dealing with 99.99% of controller players. If a lot of that is from hardware, then you might be a lot lower skill when you are playing as inf, hence some controller players might just be better.

The new VCR-2 AR is crazy, basically a M4A1 on steroids. It has damage drop off levels similar to the M433, but the fire rate of the M4A1 and is slightly more controllable at range than the M4A1 due to more predictable burst behavior. Throw on the short barrel, ribbed stubby and the CQB suppressor and it can be played like almost an SMG with AR damage profile and super high firerate. Only a few weapons match it or slightly exceeds it below 9m, but it maintains it's damage profile until around 20m. I think the only full auto gun that will out DPS it after 10m is the TR-7, but that is very difficult to control in mid range fights.

My guess is that it will be nerfed by the second stage of season 2. Right now it just shreds, even at mid range. You just need to burst fire it in super fast taps, like you are trying to fire a pistol super fast, and it mostly negates it own recoil at mid range, similar to how DRS-IAR, NVO-228 and several others behave.

I have no problem killing players. It's just the cheesy deaths that shouldn't even be happening that gets old. It's like playing a dumbed down version of a BF game.

This game had such great potential.

This...

I wish people would just stop pre-ordering anything, force game companies to release a decent product on release day..
I don't see the problem with pre-ordering. The people that pre-order that spend their own money, not the money of those complaining about other people pre-ordering.

I pre-order when I feel certain that I will get my money's worth. E.g. last year I pre-ordered BF-6 and Doom the Dark ages and both gave me good value for money. BF-6 beta convinced me I would be getting enough hours out of the full game for it to be worth the price of entry. The previous Doom games were fairly good, even if they had flaws, so I was 95% sure I was going to play it to the end. The only game I bought last year that gave me better value for money was probably Clair Obscure, which I spent enough time with to clear out the regular tower (you know what it is if you have been there) and do most of the optional bosses.

I can't remember the last time I pre-ordered and didn't feel I got my money's worth, but I am usually very selective about pre-ordering. It has happened a lot more that I bought a game weeks, months or years after launch and end up dissapointed. Pre-ordering is also quite safe on steam as you can refund if you are not happy within 2 hours of playtime and there hasn't been x amount of days since it became available on your account.

Mine are OK, but not amazing. Had 2.81 player K/D, shot accuracy of 24%, headshot rate of 21% and 55% win rate. More than 99.9% of kills are with inf weapons though and probably 15% or so with snipers. Barely used any hardware as I prefer to repair the tank, rocket the enemy tank and go on the capture point, rather than sit in a tank. Also did a lot of weapon leveling, which often ends up in low 2.x K/D until you get the attachments and figure out if the weapon is worth using.

The issue is, they have your money already, so they can release a steaming pile of crap, as many have, and those who pre-ordered will do nothing about it, since in North America, you often can not get refunds for games, thanks to no consumer protection laws. Or the "I need to play this game on release to brag" people. Sure there are exceptions where some games drop on release day and they work, dont have issues, but seems more often the games are full of issues, even just downloading said game, update servers down, servers down entirely, bad performance, issue after issue...

And those same people who pre-ordered, complain about it..

So stop giving companies your money until you have confirmed the product is good enough.......

Maybe it would force more companies into releasing beta's again as they used to back in the day. Or do like some games do, as recently as Marathon, do a server slam for a few days ahead to work out bugs..

I get what you are saying, some games tend to just be worth it, Civilization games for me, not recently, but 4/5 I bought on release day with out a second through cause I will play those over and over... But most AAA games tend to get released and are just plagued with issues for the first week or 2 or so.

I hate going full try hard just to have half my team playing worse than bots and we barely lose.

I hate going full try hard just to have half my team playing worse than bots and we barely lose.
I just don't get how some people can be so bad at basics in games. It's not just a few, but the masses. I see it in anything with objectives, be it a team shooter, Battlefield, mmorpgs, etc. It's scary.

I just think of the video review of cuphead some journalist did, and he couldn't get through the tutorial while blithering on about how the game is so hard :p. That's what I think of when I see most players. I'm not saying I'm a god amongst gamers, but jeez.

I got more than my $30 worth from bf6 and continue to. I just prefer BF4 64p rush :D.

I walked away from the battlefield series years ago. Once you play Tarkov you can never go back to that respawn crapo-o-rama. It is the arcade of FPS.

I hate going full try hard just to have half my team playing worse than bots and we barely lose.
Had games where I was wondering if 60% of the team was unlabelled bots as they played that way. Just not fun in breakthrough when only 6 or 7 guys are actually trying to push and the rest of the team is sitting on the hill missing every shot or someone camping in spawn with the tank to farm some useless kills. Just makes me sad when I am pushing ahead of 85% of the players on my team while playing recon with a sniper on attack.

Same for a lot of conquest games where a lot of players do not push objectives, they just try to farm kills. It is usually the really bad players play that way, those that barely go 2:1 when only bating and camping for frags. Not that bad when they are on enemy team as their skill is usually so low that you can just frag them, but hate it when they are on my team.

Problem is often ego, like they want to feel like they are doing well and think K/D is everything. They don't get that getting on the point, reviving team m8s etc. is often a lot more valuable than getting a few frags in the middle of nowhere.

It feels like they prioritize instant matchmaking over spending 30s to get decent teams. Doing matchmaking with a bit of team play metrics to separate the campers from those that actually want to play as a team would do wonders in BF6. There should also be some separation between the skill levels. Doesn't need full blown strict skill based matchmaking, but not throwing all skill levels in the same match would help a lot. It was a lot better for the first month or so as the average skill level was probably 2x to 3x of what it is now.

There are a lot of console players in my games now days. Just had a game conquest game on empire state where most of the opposition was console. Was so boring with lots of campers with snipers in their spawn. Towards the end we were trying to kill them in their spawn, otherwise you would have to run around half the map to find the 5 guys on their team trying to play objectives.

Just played 3 games, where 2 were absolute stomps around 800-900 tickets left for us and one kinda close game that we won by 400 tickets. Kinda scratching my head about team balancing when my team has 7 or 8 guys with 3 or 4 k/d and their best player barely breaks even, while most of them are 0.5 k/d or worse.

Unfortunately you may see more of this but its because of the hardware shortages for PC gamers :(

Ya I would say about 2/3rds of the players now are console players versus PC. I think it's because BF6 is the least competitive/most casual BF, well, ever?. It attracts console players with its aim assist more than hardcore PC FPS players. I had ~350 hours in BF2042 which was kinda a crap game and only 100 hours in BF6 and it's already stale.

I mean just the simple fact that the game designers put safe areas at each base so that people can sit in armored vehicles and shoot out of yet you can't shoot them just shows you they have no idea how to make a BF game. It's basically a hybrid CoD for casuals.

Besides aim assist do you think the controller helps with movement too? It feels like I'm athletic af with a kb/m and that gives me an advantage over a controller.

In some third person games (like Fortnite) it does, making peripherals like this increase in popularity:

View attachment 789104

However for first person I'm not sure.

I have no idea what that is used for, lol.

But yeah, for 3rd person or stealth FPS (eg ALIEN: Isolation) I would prefer a controller for the analog stick advantage/necessity I think.

I have no idea what that is used for
Ignore everything in the image except the black item his thumb is resting on. It's the exact same as a "left stick" on a typical controller.
1.jpg

Peripherals such as that allow you to have "controller movement" with left hand and mouse input with right hand, as in some third person games controllers give you superior character control.

Game is mostly dead unless you like playing with bots. Portal would of been cool had EA/Dice not kneecapped it from the beginning.
