I believe it was stated by Dice to come out within one month of BF3 release. I would look for it to coincide with the release of MW3 myself.

Its already been gone over, the code they send you won't work. You have to try your luck getting a new code with support. Also Origin charges tax btw in Canada.

I got it from D2D as well. I would've done it during the 25% coupon sale awhile back, but there was some confusion whether all preorders were LE or not back then. But 20% is still good, actually cheaper than Origin by a good bit for me.
The good thing about Origin integration though is your copy is the same regardless of where you buy it. You don't need to worry about post release support or social features being an issue with where you buy it from.
No idea, I didn't buy it from Origin because of 12% tax here. Plus there wasn't really a way to know what discount you were actually going to get. Check your PMs though.

BTW...Anyone else notice the A-10 on the US base in the map linked above? I know the MP video showed only fighters for that map, but wouldn't it be awesome if they had A-10's and SU-25's instead of just just SU-27's and F18's?

Officially announced that squad leaders are no longer important in game.
The only thing you get for being squad leader is an extra "shoot me" icon when you've been 3d wall hack spotted. Your squad mates can spawn on anyone in the squad.

The data sheet they release only listed the A-10 and the SU-39 for attack jets.

The SU-39 is a second generation SU-25. It essentially the SU-25TM.
By the datasheet you listed I see those Russian planes weren't SU-27's, but the upgraded SU-35's which are essentially SU-27M's.

Has there been any mention of fixing the FOV and mouse acceleration issues in the alpha?
the only issue was that the settings weren't exposed yet, menus weren't implement.
you could muck with shit in the config file.

Im pretty sure the trailer released yesterday does feature the a-10, the cockpit footage seems to be from the a-10 perspective as you can hear its minigun fire up and see the muzzle flash coming from the nose at some points in the video.

Kinda hard to tell from just 5 minutes in a dark level, but looks fun. I found myself pulled out of the action a bit, though, by the Marines' outbursts after they went loud.
"You like that? You like that, you f*cker?"
"Oh, is that all you got? Come on, baby!"
Dialogue like that would fit in Aliens, or even the first Bad Company. But everything I've seen about BF3 so far indicates they are going for a more 'serious' story in singleplayer. As a result, lines like that make the characters more caricature than anything. I've never been in the military, let alone combat, so I can't say for certainty people wouldn't react that way; and if their military advisor signed off on it, fine.
It just doesn't seem to fit; I heard similar lines in the Thunder Run video. Maybe that's just the way DICE views the American military. If so they need to watch less "Navy SEALS" and more "Generation Kill" for their dialogue inspiration.
I hope they consider cutting back on lines like that for the release, or that these are outlier instances.

Only a small amount of people care if BF3 is a true successor to BF2, a five year old game. BC@ was successful and they are going with that formula, mixed with the original BF2 gameplay. Maybe they shouldn't tweak the old command rose system either, so it can keep saying, "Enemy Spotted" every 3 seconds instead of the 3D indicator. Hmmm COD seems to repeat the same gameplay model every year, maybe BF should turn into that? I guess Carmack was right by saying keep feeding gamers the same rehashed games if they're buying. With innovation, changes have to be made. No one needs to be warned of a game when they are "paying with their own money." It's their decision to make, not yours.
That will be nice, rather than hoping the squad leader stays alive so you can continue to spawn on him.

Meh. I am the opposite. I was one of those squad leaders that stayed alive, and put my squad in good places for objectives. Plus I can't stand squad hopping. PITA when you need to conatsntly give orders. But again, commander is gone...so who cares I guess.
