AMD Super HOT Coupons!!

From what I hear there is no performance gain on AM2. I say give us back the old coupons and your business will shoot up again.

Have you looked at memory benchmarks?

I'm sure if they were able to issue coupons like before, they would.

Their supplier probably raised the prices on Monarch.
 
I think the coupon amounts were lowered to discourage sales because they are having distribution problems.
 
My 146 shipped early this morning. Disappointingly, they didn't issue a tracking number.

I'll it explain it slower. With a lower coupon amount, they'll get less orders, giving them a chance to catch up.

You're forgetting the gray area (fallacy of the excluded middle). There are more options than $70 coupon or no coupon.

you just never know when they will be great and when they will be so so......
 
Heh, if you guys didn't notice Opterons are not made anymore so the prices should go up and then fall after AM2 really takes over.
Monarch was just really generous with those $70 coupons which I though was a little too much. Anyways those coupons really did help Monarch with these forums and enthusiasts. Or perhaps AMD did choose Monarch as a place to dump a good amount of Opteron 165s. :)
 
More like when conroe and am2 comes out, opterons will drop. Probably a lot.

got in on time for the $70 off with opteron 146. Running it rock stable at 2.9Ghz default voltage...yeah..it's amazing...awesome chip. Haven't really tried to go any higher...stepping CAB1E 0614EPMW

I'm happy for all you guys that got yours...no, really I am. Seven business days now and my order status is the same, orders@monarch won't respond to any inquiries so I'm thinking about how I can write off the charge on my card (5 days ago) as a charitable donation at tax time. :rolleyes:

I ordered a while ago, maybe three weeks? I doubt they put aside a processor for me though. ;) Like I said, it shipped out yesterday.

I just got a ccbbe that was shipped yesterday... Some people have been recieving 0606s... its really just a crap-shoot

3 weeks? :eek: I'm guessing they charged your card loooong before it shipped right?...I'm beginning to think that orders@monarch goes to a giant spam folder that gets dumped once a week. I did call...twice. First time a dude told me it was the 7900GT KO holding me up and it would ship on the 25th and he'd bump me to 2 day shipping...neither of which happened. Second guy I talked to blamed the delay on the Opty 146 and said they would be getting some "next week" but I see that he did actually bump me to 2 day for whatever that's worth. In almost 9 years of ordering everything you can imagine from every type of vendor on the internet I have never experienced anything like this...guess I've been lucky.

I paid with my paypal balance. Instant transfer, no credit card. I had an incorrect address on it to begin with so that was kinda my fault but then after that was fixed, it took two calls and a few emails to get her straightened out.

Some people actually got their CCBWE 0602 to 3GHz; however, it seems like those unofficial OC charts say to avoid this stepping.
It isn't a common stepping so it looks like some can't hit 2.8GHz and some can hit over 2.8GHz.
 
my 165 that arrived damaged is still doing 2.925 at 1.46V 28 Idle and 44 max. Dual prime stable for 12+ hours.

My rig is still faster than an AM2 FX-62 (stock ofcourse )

I'd say if you get 2.6ghz at least there's no reason to bitch about your 165... got mine over 3ghz (dropped down because well, i don't see a point to running it at higher temps with virtually no gain in performance). mine was a CCBBE 0610DPMW
 
I got my 165 on Friday, forgot to write down the stepping in my haste, although I'm pretty sure it had 0604 in the string.

2.7 is stable right now without any tweaking. I'll pull the waterblock off and check the stepping and see if I can get it higher.

I am very pleased to have a $270 FX60. And other than a ship to address that was my preference, Monarch was spot on in their shipping.

Everyone needs to find their max Prime stable overclock and get it posted in the AMD section in the table. A lot of people dont bother to take the time so our list isn't nearly as big as it ought to be considering how many people have bought these 165's from Monarch alone.
 
I'll get the stepping from mine for sure, and then I'll prime and put in the database.

Seufari ordered maybe three weeks ago if I remember correctly and he got a CCBBE 0610 DPMV.

Hopefully they still got a few of those left..

Three out of the four 165's i got through Monarch were 0610's.
 
I ordered my 146 11 days ago (on the 19th) and still no goodies. I paid extra for two day shipping.

They didn't issue a tracking number either. They said they were having "software problems."

Emailing them and using their online forms are futile. Save yourself the keystrokes.

I called them 2 hours ago to get my tracking number, I was held on the phone for 15 minutes while they "looked" for it. The CS rep said he would call me back once they found it.

The price on the part was damn cheap, I admit that. But for the love of God, I just want a tracking number.

Tracking number after 11 days? PLEASE?

I wouldn't be suprised if when I open my package there is only peanuts and a note that reads "zomg w3 r teh h4x0r 0f u lulz"

It still isn't here. Never got a call back. No tracking number.

I'm filing a charge-back report with my credit card company now. They too can go through a hassle to get their end of the deal.

I'm starting to believe they can't give me a tracking number because they didn't ship it.

Ordered my 146 a day before yours...promised shipment on the 25th and then again on the 30th.....guess what? :rolleyes: I thought selling items you don't really have (my card has been charged for 9 days now) was a game only Ebay sellers played...Monarch won't admit they don't have stock and keep blaming it on other things.
