A friend's EYEFINITY 9 setup

I have a hard enough time taking in 5760x1080 while gaming doing my FPS games, this would be impossible...cool, but quote overkill. Still the very fact that technology has come this far is crazy, who'd a thought?

This post made me laugh my ass off at my desk at work. But seriously... do it.

I'm just curious as to what line of work requires *ten* monitors. I write software using VMs and web browsers, and I use 3x 1080p monitors barely filling them (I wish they were taller, but I couldn't stand 3x portrait mode.) If I had 10 monitors I'd have to sit outside my house to see it all.

Also, is that language Serbian or Romanian or somesuch?

if I really have a lot of cash I will have bigger apartment and buy superthin bezels LCDs + better mobo 3x pci-e x16 + better cpu and 2GB vram gpu card

5870 2gb + 2x5450 will be enough, bcoz I use softTH , which only main gpu rendering, two others is only for displaying

also i dont know about perfomance (softTH really cut it), bcoz on 7 monitors i have 30 fps on 2xaa HIGH details (only 30 but full playable and i dont see difference between 30 and 50)
also on movie i noticed 13-14 (16-17 is enough for gaming - once again FOR dirt2, i guess for FPP shooters even 40 will be slow but I am only playing dirt/grid)

one more thing
3 or 5 monitors in landscape mode is ENOUGH for super enjoying gaming)

3x46" TV will be great but not now, maybe next year

Hmmm makes me wonder...how would 3x32" stack up next to each other be? I don't mind,each with a max of 1920x1080 be?

Now that is actually cool looking. I'm not sure how practical it would be to play on that, but it would look awesome in a trade show setting. My question though is what card can do 15 screens at once? I think ATI's max is the 5970 with 12 monitor output.

love the 9x setup, i'd love to see that in use with a TrackIR system. ohh wait.. with that 9x setup you wouldn't even need TrackIR almost

if your friend has DCS Blackshark would love to see that demoed on the 9 monitors.

It is neat, IMO, just to see that this setup is technically possible, it shows the technology is flexible.
