7970 Purchasing Thread

I'm a prime member, so $4 for overnight shipping. Plus $140 in gift cards and the $450 in amazon payments I had from selling my 6970's, came out to about $15 bucks for my 7970 which should arrive tomorrow :D

I know I said I would wait for that gigabyte card Kyle posted, but well, now i'm just going to gave to get it later and go crossfire :D

Well, 2 day free shipping from newegg. So it would be a straight up extra $100 out of pocket. But amazon is sooo much better than newegg now days in cust. service.

What time did you place your order EST? Same for you porter. Mine is still listed as charged at 6:15 P.M. EST.
 
Got the Sapphire from Amazon, it's about time they lowered it enough. In another month I'll get another when they are 450-550.
 
I placed my order at 6:19 EST last night. It charged at 6:25 EST.

6:09pm EST. probably like you, I pulled the trigger as soon as I saw the links in this thread. I already knew I wanted the XFX black edition so i didn't waffle around deciding which card to get.

I selected rush processing and paid $35 for overnight. That's probably why mine showed shipping before yours. They have to be sure to meet the overnight deadline.

I had actually ordered a Sapphire 7970 earlier, when only that and the Asus were listed. I made the thread here, then all the others popped up, so I canceled and immediately switched to the BEDD. Hope it works out :)
 
I ordered my sapphire for the full markup price @ 5:00 AM CST this morning (Showing shipping soon)

Now that it's back to 599 i just contacted them asking for a refund in the difference price and that was done.

Easily enough!
 
All these dumb nubs leaving reviews on Newegg already for something they haven't even received yet. I always go through and flag all of them as not helpful lol.
 
So anyone got one or more of them yet? Or just waiting for shipping? I saw them available in the store I go past on my way to work yesterday morning, but I wasn't willing to pay $700AUD for it.

My 6970 just die on me yesterday when I am deciding if I should get 7970..

Guess I have to now... Just grab a Sapphire one from amazon, will deliver tomorrow..
 
My two Sapphire 7970 still show up as "Charged" and I ordered at 9:30pm EST last night. I'm afraid they are OOS and are just delaying my void email...

I could just grab two from Amazon and get overnight shipping!

God I hate noob's that do that. "For the privilege of placing an order for this product I give it five stars! This is the best card I've ever used even though I've haven't used it yet!"
 
So, quick question, do you guys think Newegg will hold my card for 3 days because I selected Online Bill Pay, and now my bank says processing for online bill pay won't go through until 1/12? Newegg confirmation email said order will be canceled after 7 days if they don't receive payment, but because these keep selling out I am worried the will cancel my order anyways... hope not :(
 
Mine still says "Processing" even though I used newegg gift cards to pay for it all :/
