576.02 Nvidia Drivers

576.15 seems to randomly cause my games to recompile shaders after a day or two. Probably just need to DDU and start from scratch.

edit: It seems every time I change a "3D Setting" in the control panel, games will recompile. I just changed Low Latency from off to Ultra and Forbidden West is compiling, I was just in game a few minutes ago.

I had to roll back from these, they cause consistent crashing in MH Wilds.

I'll check it out. Doesn't say anything about a MH Wilds fix, but who knows. Thanks!
it might have been in the .15 hotfix from last week...

ps: the link stryder shared is to another new hotfix .26

.15 has fixed all of my Fortnite / 5080 issues - but I am a dummy and always like the latest so I grabbed .26, lol. I'll keep you posted...one long round was fluid (outside of recompiling shaders - forgot about that!).

Chucked the 9070 XT for a $999 PNY 5080 OC so you all get more NVIDIA fandom from me. ;)

The ones from last week served me pretty well, but will probably give these a shot since Wukong is next on my list of games to play.

Nvidia is pushing out drivers the same way I learned to code. Just keep trying random stuff, recompile, and hope it works.
What a total embarrassment this is.
I had a good run up until I recently upgraded monitors then it’s been erratic.

Based upon what most of the feedback has been, it's the release of the 50-series that seemed to kickstart all of this mess. Something about those cards and whatever driver tweaks they had to make to accomodate them = likely causing these problems.

Sounds like MH Wilds is still a problem:

I suppose you can pretty much cruise on older/stable drivers indefinitely or at least until the newer ones have optimizations needed for a brand new game. That's when things get tricky.

You are changing cards faster than a hippy changing underwear…

Still no luck with these. Games play fine but still can’t use DP 2.1 on my monitor. Also can’t use motherboard sound either with my speakers as it won’t allow online videos to play and it causes the browser to crash. Have to use the less than stellar monitor built in speakers.

On my old build I was running 572.16 and had no problems with it. On the new one I'm running the latest hot fix driver. I just built this thing so I don't even have any games installed yet.

Had to go back to March's drivers for the Wifes 5080. These drivers caused a lot of problems with locking up the PC. Trying to watch a video and play a game on 2 monitors was a no go. Constant crashes and black screen flickers in Wow, and Oblivion.

thats fine if youre not playing anything new.
I'm playing Sniper Elite Resistance, Sniper Elite 5, FC6 and Tom Clancey's Breakpoint & Wildlands. I also have a shit ton of newer games, but I seldom play them as those are single player titles. I was having issues with new drivers.

Getting black screens / temp crashes - display does come back, though - and interestingly enough HWiNFO crashes, as well. This is just on one rig (9800X3D / RTX 5080 / Steel Legend X670E 3.20 BIOS), so far. Two others haven't had issues. No game crashes with Fortnite, yet! Working nicely otherwise.

576.26

Spoke too soon...crash tonight 9800X3D / RTX 5080 / Taichi X670E 3.20 BIOS with 576.26 in Fortnite. ARGH

Man, I am certainly glad I am not having problems. But the drivers have been shit across the board. I am still on 02.

LOL, another day, another driver. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not. I guess it's cool that they're trying, but it feels especially busted when they're having to do this in the first place.

excited?

Positively orgasmic. But these seem to be mostly the hotfix fixes with any new stuff being 5x series related (which is fine), as a 4080 user with 576.15 installed quite happily, I'm not sure I want to rock the boat.

I would not upgrade any 4000 series past 566.36 if you ask me.

Let's see how the old drivers work with the new Doom or if you're gonna have to go with the newer ones. That's forever going to be a catch with using older drivers. Somtimes they straight up suck with new games.

i only see one post about it but are these also giving the 3000 series issues? got a buddy with a 3070 having issues....

I have a 3070. I was having issues with 572.83 where my machine would randomly boot to a blank screen or be limited to 60Hz refresh. I would have to unplug the display port and plug it back in. So far so good with 576.02.
