managed to get a 3080 but get 1 long and 4 or 5 short beeps on startup, seems to run ok though, switched back to my 1080 and its fine. could it be the psu i have 2x8 pin on one cable
I see your problem...
so ya get it goin?you mean the 750W? can the psu cause that beep pattern?
doesnt your psu have 4x8pin pcie you should be able to divide it up.Will pick up a PSU in the morning but I ran unigine with gpuz open and it was drawing 320w with the one cable so I'm not optimistic. I hope it's not fucked since it seems stock is non existent

edit: maybe im seeing that wrong...
edit: stupid google, had me looking at the cx.

have seen several around here with corsairs doing this with 2080tis, current protection is overly sensitive.....The 3080s instantaneous current draw can defeat high power PSUs not capable of responding in time.
The FE cards have LEDs on the power connectors to signal a problem but AIB cards dont have this, that I have seen.
So while you might have a PSU capable of supplying the power quantity, it might not be able to do it fast enough.
This is made worse with current limiting wiring such as 2x8 pin from a single wire.
You might be ok if you use 2 wires from the PSU.
I need to use 3!
It warns the issue exists in your system.have seen several around here with corsairs doing this with 2080tis, current protection is overly sensitive.....
I bought a rog strix 850, I used 2 cables and tried different power connectors on the psuYou did use two separate cables with 8pin connectors on your GPU, right? Which PSU did you buy? IF multi-rail you need to split between the rails with those cables.
The display kept turning on and off for meI'm on the same boat. The card works fine and there's no issues at all. But when I turn on the PC there are 4 short beeps and then a longer 1 then the system boots up.
At first I thought it was my PSU because its a Corsair RM650x and they suggest 750w. But I'm not sure that's the issue. Wouldn't there be any other issues if it was the PSU? Like poor performance or system crashes? I'm using two separate 8pin connectors.
I was thinking perhaps it has something to do with PCIE being Gen 4 on the card while my mobo is 3?
Returned it, where I ordered isn't taking orders so I requested a replacement maybe is amd have something special I'll get that insteadwhat they ^^^ said and where did your gpu go and why is you system in pieces now?
Possible HDMI cable issue? The display kept turning on and off for me
I did still happened at 1440p on a hdmi 2.1 cable if it was just that and not beeping during post I might have tested a bit more, sooner i returned it sooner I get a new one although I'm not holding my breath, hopefully I get a replacement in time for cyberpunkPossible HDMI cable issue?
Easy to test, lower resolution will work fine.

Yeh it's a Asus prime x470 proI was getting that just from moving the cable a little and no, it's not the cable, I used that cable with my previous card and again it was working fine when I tried switching GPUs when it stated beeping. My issue got fixed by using a different DP port. Is your mobo also gen 3 pcie?
Check its Morse code, there might be a secret message!Did more testing. Tried new ram, reduced power consumption by removing everything except for the essentials, removed OC from CPU, nothing made a difference. I'm just intrigued as to why the performance is totally fine, no crashes, no slow downs, no high temps or anything weird. Just the beeps.

Do you still have display problems on one of the display ports?Did more testing. It's the motherboard. Is it actually he card beeping, or the motherboard speaker?
It says 4 short beep :Real Time Clock malfunction. Don't have a spare motherboard, sadly.Check your motherboard code and if possible test the 3080 using a different motherboard.
Sorry, you mean on the gpu or mobo?what bios is the board based on, ami?
moboIt's the motherboard.

test your cmos battery, if its less than 3.2v replace itIt says 4 short beep :Real Time Clock malfunction. Don't have a spare motherboard, sadly.
Just got back home. Yes. Only the first one works properly, the second one gives no image and the third one gives image but loses it as soon as I slightly touch the cable. So I'm assuming this could be a more clear signal of it being faulty?Do you still have display problems on one of the display ports?
I'd be worried about that, what if you get another monitor or vr headset in the future I know it sucks to consider returning it with the current stock situationJust got back home. Yes. No, you're right. I'll call them on monday and see the options I have. I just wonder if there's anything else to try while I wait. I also wonder if this is something that a vbios update would solve.I'd be worried about that, what if you get another monitor or vr headset in the future I know it sucks to consider returning it with the current stock situation
The video I posted? I dont see one in the Reddit threadvideo only has one beep though....
which is normal.
your op imgr vid, 1 beep. the reddit one, nvidia removed it.The video I posted? I dont see one in the Reddit thread
