I don't see anything Office 2010 related up yet on technet.

This promo code works for me: TMSAM10

25% off which is nearly $100 - Goes from $349 to $261.75

YMMV
Anyone know how long this coupon is good for? I want to get TechNet, but I won't bother if they're not getting 7 until October.

It won't be that long. Volume License Customers are getting it September 1. I'd expect TechNet to have it this month, August at the latest.

Not sure why it wouldnt work with my normal Live account, i just went ahead and made another new one and that worked fine. Weird but I'm in.

I'm optimistic that we see Win7 in a little over a week, but that's just a fools hope. I'm happy I can finally put legit licences on a couple of my XP machines though.

Seeing as how I missed that last one by half a day, I bit on this as fast as I could.

MSDN & TechNet Subscribers: Subscribers will be able to download the final version of Windows 7 a few weeks after we announce RTM.

Volume License (VL) Customers: As announced today by Bill Veghte during his WPC09 keynote, Windows 7 will be available to Volume License customers on September 1st.

A few weeks after RTM, sometime before September 1. Good enough for me.

My guess is that it will hit Technet early August.

Thanks a bunch!! I just ordered...worked perfectly...didn't waste any time this go round since I missed out on the last coupon code...

Ok so I finally bit on Technet since my MSDNAA account expired. I canceled my Windows 7 pre-orders since I am unsure about the upgrade process.

I activated my account and it says it expire 1/1/1900 lol! Hopefully this mean it will never expire.

The code TMSAM10 still work BTW!

You just haven't activated your subscription yet. It'll be about a week before you get the email.

Nice. I subscribed a few weeks ago with one of the previous coupons and I didn't get the email for at least a week.

It's not a big deal since you can start downloading right away even without activation.

I got my email right away and activated my sub, I don't know why it expired over century ago though... I can still dl everything anyways..

Of course! Al Gore travelled back in time to see the beginnings of global warming for himself, and while he was there spent some time inventing the Internet ;)

Back on topic: I signed up for the $100 off just before it expired. I activated my subscription on one computer, and it's working fine. On my other computer, it wants me to activate again. Hmmm ...

It all makes sense now, that silly Al Gore. I just remote into my home comp and logged into technet. I am able to get and keys and dl anything. No second activation required. I would trying closing out the browser and logging back into your live account.

Question:
So up to 10 license of Vista

If I activate it on one computer and use 1 license and I reformat the computer, will it use up another license or can I still reuse that key to reactivate.

Thanks

Question: Was I wrong to think that when I renewed I'd get 10 more licenses for Vista, Office and so on?
It's not that I need more of them, mind you, but I did think that I'd get them.

As stated earlier in this thread...each key should let you activate 10 times. So you can reformat/activate up to 10 times per key.

So theoretically you should have a total of 100 activations for Vista Ultimate (10 keys x 10 activations)

...

I asked that same question. And was told that you only get the original 10 keys. Now for every new package that comes out, you get 10 keys for that. So when Windows 7 shows up, you get 10 keys for that, even though it is not available right now.

My sub was activated July 1st, so *if* MS releases Office 2010 in the first half of the year as announced, it doesn't look like I'll have much reason to renew.

Sure there is, when the next round of Windows releases are.

I've been trying all morning to purchase a subscription but the site goes into a continuous loop after I see the $261.75 price and hit the Buy button. :(

And as you type this post you are probably being charged $261.75 infinitely. Looks like you will have a 32 Quadrillion dollar credit card bill this month. :p

This happened to me too. Make a new Live account with no history associated with it and it should work.

were you using IE? i have seen issues with crome and FF with technet's site

That's what ietab is for ;) I don't hate IE, but I pretty much live in FF. IE tab says, "Hmm...he's going to technet....let's render it with IE."

Same here, IETab is a marvelous add on for Firefox!

Yeah, I had to make a new Live account for this, also I'm using IETab in FF for when I'm at the Technet site.

This deal is awesome, so glad to have gotten in on it, it's already paid for itself upgrading my parents to Office 2007 and getting a new XP license for VMWare on my MacBook Pro!

As I take this further off topic ;), I've actually had times at work where IE8 doesn't work with a site (even in compatibility mode), but IE tab does, which is strange, since AFAICT, IETab runs the IE engine in compatibility mode (compare using acid3.acidetests.org).
