Yeah, this is pretty much an internet riot. Reminds me a lot of the HD-DVD decryption code thing on Digg years ago. I might actually have to go outside or something today.
I just purchased a 1tb Samsung 850 Evo to use as a game drive for $400. There are several other models for right around the same price (Crucial, Mushkin, maybe some others?).
Getting very tempted to try Star Citizen...
I've been using ASUS motherboards for over a decade now, and they've consistently been the most solid and feature packed of any I've purchased...next purchase will likely be ASUS as well!
Maybe buying rather than stealing is the what allows them to stack. I, uh, didn't pay for any aircraft yet, but if I had a stolen one saved in either place, it was physically in the way of parking the new (stolen) one.
There's an undefended Buzzard on the roof at NOOSE HQ, and I've been...
Yeah, I'm starting to get bored post story too, so a goal now is being able to comfortably buy the golf course and still have hundreds of millions in the bank.
BTW PIS has risen another ~30% and HAL about half that just since my post about stocks a couple of nights ago, so it's still possible...
Oh, sure. It's actually really easy and kind of cheap (not that I'm complaining...) once you see a guide.
Yep, those are the ones. You can clear a billion without investing in anything else, but I've done a mix of things and actually screwed up by only investing with Franklin on the first...
I am finding the stock market surprisingly addictive. I made a quarter of a billion dollars between 3 characters this afternoon, and another 30 million since then not even playing the game. There is a series of missions with stock tips in them that can make a lot of money if you play your...
I'm hoping my weird "free" (read, probably actually more expensive than buying the game) games on release day routine works this time....we go to Dave and Busters a couple of times a month and get drunk and bank prize points, and they often stock new games on release day in their "winners...
The major ones are Netbeans and Eclipse. I think Eclipse is the most common, but they are both widely used and generally solid and full featured. The common complaints these days are actually more of bloat than of lacking features. FWIW, (which may not be much as I'm a year or two out of date...
I found it extremely easy to set up Mercurial on my local machines and push/pull/clone from the cloud via Bitbucket to share my work across machines all through the TortiseHG plugin for Visual Studio.
My understanding is that Git is basically equivalent using Github. I'm a pretty basic user...
Ehh, in spite of agreeing pretty much categorically with Dan's post, I really don't feel ripped off. The 90% of the game that was good was amazing, IMO. It's weird how that takes some of the sting out of the ending and at the same time adds that heart wrenching element of "snatching defeat out...
Huh. The indoctrination thing is looking a bit more viable to me as I read about it. I think they will be hard pressed to convince me that it wouldn't have been better suited for The Matrix than Mass Effect, but that does make it marginally more compelling.
I never played any of the ME2...
Agreed. I could definitely get behind a single game or big expansion based on the First Contact War or the Krogan Rebellions or any numbers of extremely interesting past events in that universe. It could have worked for Star Wars if George Lucas hadn't become Satan incarnate over the last...
I just picked up DAO a couple of months ago, and it was a great game that is definitely still worth playing. I still need to finish it, but only because I got sidetracked and not because I didn't enjoy it. I'm only like 2/3 or 3/4 of the way through after close to 50 hours.
I'm a few hours...
That's why I was confused that it went badly too. I know that was the deal, because I was able to go back, reverse the order, and get the paragon options to stop the Quarian attack.
I found this on the Bioware forum, fwiw:
I killed Tali and the migrant fleet completely by accident because I did the fighter base mission before the last priority Rannoch mission (which you can't even access anymore after outcome clusterfuck). Yeah, that was intense. I felt pretty helpless watching all that debris streak across the...
I think this ought to work, or the equivalent ALTER COLUMN DDL command. Just try it first on a simple test database or a safe copy of the working one, FFS. :p
Lots of info about DDL syntax here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms190273.aspx
Look at the null part of the arguments...
That's a higher res than mine, and my GPU doesn't support DX11 or SM5. Everything else was at ultra.
With the SLI setup and DX11 I rather imagine there are a few more variables at play. I haven't played much since a few months after the game came out, so I don't think I have real experience...
For me, it seemed to run a tad better than Empire on the same hardware. It's definitely not significantly worse. I was able to max it out @ 1920 with very few hiccups on the rig in my signature.
Yes, it is a great game. If you already like TW, it's a magnificent entry into the series. The one caveat is the clans play a little bit more similarly than they do in the other games, but OTOH the level of polish is off the charts compared to previous games. It looks, sounds, and plays...
This is a really great game. I spent an embarrassing amount of time yesterday just playing the lowest 2 classes in career mode. Looks great, sounds great, plays great, more content than any normal human could ever hope to consume, etc.
I haven't been able to get the Kinect stuff to work...
There are definitely occasions where the controls just kind of don't work right when you need to do something really precise. Be sure to grab Brotherhood if you liked 2...it's as good or maybe even better.
Maybe? Nothing is drastically different, but the sword and spear nature of most the units makes combat more similar to Rome than to Empire.
It's a really great entry to the series, IMO. Definitely worth grabbing on sale if you like Total War. Probably the most polished of the bunch, and...
