From most threads i've read it's the memphis one that packs theirs with brown paper and where as the NJ and cali one uses foam packing bubbles for all the hard drives i've ordered.
I think most people rather have their items packed properly and not have to deal with returns etc. But some items it doesn't matter for the packaging method where as others need better packing material. Not saying they have to use xxxx material for everything box they ship out but use some...
seems the cali and nj warehouse have outstanding packing the 3rd one Memphis, Tennessee is the bad one that uses brown paper for almost every package instead of items that clearly need packing peanuts.

Is the EAR program worth the cost given that I do have a backup video card incase the vid card flops?
That's a shame, you would think they would save more money in the long run by using better packaging and deal with less rma's due to shipping mishaps *sigh* one day maybe :p we'll see how the NJ warehouse packs their hard drives when i get them tomorrow or next week
ask evga and make sure, the last 2 times i did a EAR they didn't require it. actually come to think of it they should require it due to them needing proof of purchase etc
saw it but it doesn't specifically state that you can use aftermarket cooling + overclocking while protected under the warranty.

anyone else's monitor have this? The top 1/3 of the screen is pretty warm to touch bottom is a tiny bit warm.
Also is this ok for the monitor or will it have issues due to the heat?
DDR1 products are mostly EOL, even OCZ stated if they can't replace it with the same due to chip manufacturers not producing them they will give the equivalent ddr2 sticks. Gskill can probably do the same if you ask but don't expect them to give you the ddr 600 when there isn't any.
