I have one of these (it was new when I received it as a gift.) I've had it for just over a year now.

Excellent unit. It's lower 48 only FYI, and the maps are now 1 year old. Don't recall if there is a free map upgrade to the current or not. POI's are not upgradeable. I want updated gas stations and restrooms!

Map updates are $80 (ouch!)

If you can get new maps, I'd recommend it. I love the widescreen gps units.

My next one (eventully) will be widescreen, RDS traffic, spoken street names. the 400 is just directions "Turn right in 500 feet" with no name or spoken highway exit.
