If they'd embrace Freesync and release 80,70,60 series for the prices they realistically should I have a feeling it'd be saying something different. I love my 1070, but if there was a card with at least 30-40% improvement the speed for the same price as I paid ($385) before I'd be totally down...
Yeah ok, lean... Their subscription services for World of Warcraft alone bring in over 1.5 billion dollars a year. Hearthstone is a cash cow and a half, plus Overwatch selling 40+ million copies over the last couple years. Yeah, 100 employees being let go and straining your customer service...
So incredibly this. I have almost purchased so many monitors before I saw the pic and realized it was curved. If you do ANYTHING besides FPS shooters they're crap compared to a traditional rectangle. #rectanglesarenottrapezoids
Tesla's with Autopilot mode ARE NOT autonomous vehicles. In many tests the newer versions of autonomous vehicles drive better than people do and react to situations quicker than a human being can. Autopilot mode is designed to be used between cities for long commutes. It is very bad in complex...
Maybe now AMD will be able to afford to ship enough units to meet demand... wishful thinking. I can't help but think that with the amount of people I talk to in a given day about this that consoles are reaping the benefits while PC gaming numbers are getting hurt by all of this.
I bought a Monster 3D Voodoo1 back in the day for GLQuake, then moved to a Matrox G200, Voodoo3 3000 was next, was amazing for Tribes performance since it needed GLide to work very well at the time.
I subscribed to premium not long ago and I'm thinking of switching back to Spotify since they don't have a web based or desktop based app to handle playlists. All of that is on the phone and who the hell wants to deal with that exclusively?
I remember reading an article way back about the 360 controller being largely based ergonomically to the Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad from the 90's. I'd believe it. That was the best controller I ever felt in my hands back in the day. I liked the Duke ok, but at the time I preferred the feeling...
It was fun, but I don't know if it's "$30 game" fun. There are so many other games for free anymore it makes it hard to justify spending one's scarce income on a game unless it's pretty exceptional.
For those waiting to get one because they don't have a 4K screen... It doesn't make a difference unless you're less than 5' from the screen.

One other thing I'd like to say is that racing style chairs may be all the rage but if they want ultimate comfort based on a car they really should look into the Toranado. My buddy had one of those back in highschool and that was the most comfortable seat I've experienced in or out of a car.
I spend $2 every couple of years on used chairs at thrift stores or yard/garage sales. I won't buy anything that is broken unless it's a problem with the cylinder. Pipe clamp fixes that problem right quick. (Seriously how often do you change altitude if you're the only one using it?)
Anyway...
So much this. Miners are really hurting the gamers. It'd be nice to see AMD release some sort of non gaming line that rocks at the hash stuff so we dont' have to see the prices hike into the thousands shortly after launch.
Do they not have a fiber connection to the mainland? I'm with the rest of you though, I used to get between 160 - 600 ping in Doom, Quake, etc up until 2001 (no broadband available at my old house until 2016).
How is using my cellular phone on an unlimited bandwidth plan streaming video voilating TOS? I have an allotted amount per month for tethering to my PC which I use up each month too. Can you point that out to me?
What example are you talking about? I have unlimited on T-Mobile and used 297GB last month... (no internet broadband available where I live so we do all of our Netflix/Hulu/HBO over the cell tethered to a slimport adapter)
This feature has been in Windows since 8 but it was selectable at user creation. People complained that it wasn't on by default. Now they're complaining that it's on by default. You can't win Microsoft.
Mastering humor may or may not be a good thing. Yeah it could prevent judgement day, but at the same time I don't want my computer to give me search results for midgets and mayonaise when I'm looking up something else.
My wife and I have been with T-Mobile for 12 years or so. The service wasn't always the greatest but the best for the price at the time. In recent years we've been huge fans with the features they give you and the coverage level at this point. I love it. I used 270GB of data one month on my...
