There are plenty of SFP+ out there for sure, but the copper transceivers add cost.
I suppose it will have to be 12 port for now and GbE for the remaining drops. There's 44 drops total.
Hey all,
So are there "cheap" deals to be had on 10G hardware? Looking to plug all this cat6 I have placed throughout my home and would love the glorious throughput to my NAS with the 2nd benefit of faster access to the iSCSI targets I have on the NAS.
Based on this video here a year ago you...
It's HIGHLY unlikely the CPU is blown. Despite what you may think, they're quite robust. I would suspect motherboard at this point, but don't let that stop you from putting that CPU in a known good system and see what happens.
Hey all,
In my upcoming superbuild, I'm planning on running a 5960X with two Fury X's. I currently have a 850W Silverstone 80+ Silver PSU. Upon looking at specs for the Fury X's, their stated draw is 275W-350W whereas the CPU has a TDP of 140W.
Am I doing this calc right? Let's assume I...
Going out on a limb here, but have you tried a different cooler or re-applying your TIM? Could be holding back some degrees of freedom here on one of those respects!
Just to chime in here, I have a tube of MX-4 that is about 3 years old and...it's somewhat hard to describe. It still squeezes out of the tube and spreads, but its not very...viscous. Not sure how'd I compare it to a fresh tube.
Definitely thicker than AS5 and my tube of Ectotherm.
I'm planning on cooling 2x Fury X's, a 5930k + mobo Vreg's and mosfets with custom water blocks. What size of rads would you use if you planned to OC everything?
I was thinking 2x 280mm rads for the video cards and a 420mm rad for the cpu/mobo. Is this too much? Or can I simplify this...
Planning my radiator requirements for my new semi-uber build. I'm planning on running 2 pumps.
Loop 1 = pump --> r9 fury --> 240mm rad --> r9 fury #2 --> 240mm rad #2
Loop 2 = pump --> mobo vrm --> chipset --> 5930k --> 360mm rad
Is a triple rad really enough to support that kind of...
Sorry for the bump, but I'm also having issues running 2x 290x's in my system too.
Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H with a 3770K and 8GB.
Game responsiveness is choppy at best, with something as pedestrian as CSGO feeling like I'm playing on a TNT2.
Sorry that was my buddy posting about his rig...my sig is old.
Here is his setup:
ASUS A8R32-MVP deluxe
2x512MB Crucial Ballistix
OCZ 520W PowerStream PSU
Zalman CNPS9500 HSF
sorry i didnt mention what i did to test it.
i swapped out the graphics card with another card same problem
warrenty replaced the motherboard
memtest86'd the memory the one gb stick is good
and voltages on the PSU are within norms with pcprobe2
Ok guys.
i finally identified what was causing artifacting during games, stalls with limited functionality in windows/gaming, and random resets.
so i ran sandra and got the following results *following screenies*
and also did a task manager cpu usage check, and i got 55% when scrolling msn...
Needing 2 of these things, can't seem to find them throughout these forums that are available for sale, anyone wanna ditch em to me, upgrade to 74gb's anyone? :D
Heat is in sig, PM me with offers?
IMHO, the transistor on the mobo dosen not exhibit signs of explosion. If that transistor were blown, there would be dark areas around that resistor, not in one place. It merely looks like your CPU got shot and blood splattered onto the mobo below.
RIP CPU
Here's the setup:
-A64 3200+ Clawhammer C0
-1x512MB stick Kingston HyperX BH5
-DFI Lanparty UT NF3 250GB
-eVGA GF 6800GT
Previously to this I bought a used MSI K8N Neo Plat. that I used for a day until it died...when I turned it on it would power for 7 secs then shut off, North bridge...
Thats definately a negative, seeing as the K8N Neo seems to have its share of problems...
More like aBit, DFI...and I'll leave these retarded dots here to make it seem like i'm impatient or pissed off
Well let's not forget the magic of 2 Voodoo2's in SLI......since 3dFx is now a part of nVidia, we will assume they are using knowledge and expertise gained from the acquisition of 3dFx...
