Hello, can someone with such CPU please tell me what your idle cpu/core0/core1/ambient and load same temperatures are? all that without overclocking, at stock voltage (which is what, 1.18 or smth?) i just built a new system and want to know if everything's fine before i attempt OC'ing.

what about OCZ? this will be powering overclocked c2d for now, with 8800gt, 2xSATA raid, 2xOptical, and some pci cards, but in the future a overclocked quad will end up in this box, so i need expandability..

All those errors most likely raise from the fact that sp2 install created new services, but later reinstall replace the dlls, and those services aint available anymore, so they fail to start. But if you are still interested, I can show them - do you by any chance have any messenger?

No, last known good conf or shell didnt boot either, so as I said i reinstalled windows on top of current installation - that reset me to no sp, but at least it semi works. Bad thing is I didn't get to try sp2 :(

well for now i fixed it by reinstalling xp over this broken installation. takes ages to boot, gives lots of errors in event viewer, but works. i'll do a clean reinstall later. was about to slipstream sp2 rc2 and then install, but then i thought that i wont be able to uninstall it when official...
