Whoops, I forgot to make a comment on the Tri-Cool fans. They push a reasonable amount of air without making too much noise but you could better fans that don't have so many wires sticking out. Hope this helps :D.
First, let me say that's a pretty clean wire setup for the P180 . I picked one up and I'm finding it's a HUGE pain trying to make the wiring look good.
The double fan configuration looks a bit redundant. If you're concerned with airflow and you're not using the drive bay, I'd recommend...
I'm starting to have my doubts on even using the adapter after reading some of the threads in the power supplies subforum.
My new components are:
A64 3700+ San Diego
DFI Lanparty SLi-DR
eVGA 7800gt
I don't really plan on using SLI in the near future, but I don't want to fry any of my...
Since a friend already ordered an adapter for me, I guess I'll just use that to set everything up. I'll definitely look into getting a new psu now though. Any recommendations? :)
I just got my DFI Lanparty SLI-DR board and I was wondering if I absolutely have to use a 24-pin atx plug to run my machine. I've heard some people just plugging their 20 pin power supplies into their boards and running just fine but I'm not quite as daring.
Thanks for looking :)
I don't think one can just register for gmail yet, but you're right, it's not that hard to get an account.

I'll change the email address on the top as well.
I'm looking for $175 shipped. I got it about a month ago, but I'm more interested in a higher capacity player. It has been in its fake leather case whenever in use, so it is in very good condition.

I could take out the eXo2 for $15 and the one that fits the dock better for $7. These things really save the chrome finish on the back, you know :). To be honest, I got the eXo2 for $30 before I even got the iPod itself. I purchased the other case with the dock off a friend for a good deal...
I've heard nothing but good reviews about these speakers but I currently own a set of Logitech z-560's which I am very happy with. Thanks for the offer and bumping my thread though :).
The Carbon is a very solid player but there are small things about it that annoy me:
1. The 'boot up' time is like 8-10 seconds.
2.As you mentioned earlier, the packaged software isn't as nice as iTunes with the unit itself, but the playlists are created with winamp, so that's fine.
3. After...

I recently got a Rio Carbon to hold me over til I get a higher capacity mp3 player, so I think it's time to let it go. I love the iPod to death but the battery life just doesn't do it for me. Here is what would come in the purchase:
-1 3rd Generation 15GB iPod...
Usually you have to hit F6 during the windows installation but I heard you could set a SATA drive to boot up first in the BIOS and that will prompt you for the floppy as well. Also, which BIOS version are you running? My NF7-S r2 had the alternating siren going off as well but occurred less...
Have you tried my suggestion? Well I haven't tried setting up the SATA drive as the first boot drive in the BIOS but I used to have my boot drive on SATA where I had to pop in the floppy during the windows setup. I don't use SATA anymore because when you overclock on the NF7-S while using the...
When you start installing windows, one of the first things setup will ask you will be if you want to set up scsi drives or something and to hit one of the F buttons. Just hit it a few times and wait for setup to prompt you for the floppy.
