Anyone have any benchmarks comparing these two drives? I have the 500gb comming from newegg and ive heard the 640 may be a bit faster but wonder if its gonna be worth the trouble and money to swap out for the 640. I wont be using no more than about 50gb of this drive for games and OS so I didn't...
Looks like my package is in atlanta now. Hopefully I will get it next week sometime being in raleigh nc. If I would have know it was gonna be dhl/usps i would have paid for ups shipping. I was under the impression that egg saver was ups.
I live in raleigh, NC and have a tiger direct that is a bit higher in price generally. So I go back and forth between them and newegg depending alot of factors. But since they switched to slow ass dhl that passes thier stuff to the usps which I hate since they did'nt pay for something of mine...
I was trying to hook up a fan to a fan header on my board with an extension that adds like 15 inches to the power wire from the fan and like a dumb ass I hook it up to the header first while the pc was on and was fishing it down between my video card and the board and when it got to the bottom...
I agree, most folks don't go around overclocking there pc's a few hundred mhz just to get a few hundred more point's or fps on benchmarks. All most care about is how much you get for the money. And right now you just can not beat an e8400 based system for the lowest cost vs the most performance...
This is the first cpu that I have had that I could overclock by a large amount and actually be able to undervolt it slightly. All the rest ive had need at least 0.1v in order to get any decent overclock out of them. The only thing I can think of is amd has alot of high quality silicon left over...
I got my opty 170 running at 2.6 using 1.30v which is at lower end of the default voltage range. Has anyone been able to go lower on the vcore and still be stable. Ive heard of folks getting up to 2.8 with default volts. These have got to be the best bang for the buck processors ive seen so far.
Im wondering what is the difference in the gto and the gtx besides bios and ram speed and timeings. Like what type of ram do they use and so forth. And does the gtx tend to be more reliable.
my bfg 6800gt wont go above 400/1000 in bf2 without gliching up and crashing and even that crashes occasionally.. It works fine at 440/1200 with stress testing using the rthdribl demo. and this is with the default bios. Anyone have any ideas or experiences with this issue.
Does anyone know why My temps for my bfg 5900nu flashed to 5950 with leadtek bios are showing about 8 degrees cooler. I was thinking that they should be warmer. And Does the leadtek bios slow down the fans at all? The readme for the bios said it would lower noise by 30% which should further...
After I flashed my bfg 5900nu with the 5950 leadtek bios my temp readings went down. before the flash it would idle at about 42 and at full load it would get up to 56. Now is shows 33 at idle and 49 at load. Any Ideas as to why they are different?. I would expect them to be higher with the...
