Finally got around to checking out Prophecy Dungeon.
Abysmal. Most of the encounters are plain frustrating and the final encounter with the boss takes it up to 11. After a few times wiping on the final encounter we all agreed it wasn’t fun and we’d rather go do Pit of Heresy.
I just gave a quick scroll through of games they published for PS4 and yeah I don’t think any of their stuff has microtransactions, at least nothing that’s more egregious than like selling cars for driveclub.
My understanding is that higher than your refresh rate means you’ll be able to easier lock to your refresh rate. Which with the advents of variable refresh/adaptive sync it’s not as big of an issue but still helps to not have issues.
Just think back to enabling V Sync at 60Hz but your fps is...
I know it’s not your source of employment and that it would be work to set up, but a build video from you could be a fun thing.
(IE I want to live vicariously through your PC build since I won’t be doing it myself any time soon)
Unless Assassins Creed drops their pseudo RPG bullshit it can’t come close for me.
Call me simple but I enjoyed the games for the stupid story and the city scape parkour.
The ship combat is fun as well but I really feel they lost something. Of course I never got around to rogue/syndicate/unity...
SkillUp has a nice little review of the Legends mode that I find to be spot on.
Mostly he just shames all the shitty live service games that have the audacity to be $60 and release in horrible states. And even after multiple patches still don’t match the quality of this free update.
Wonderful to hear, I guess maybe I’ll put my money where my mouth is and pick one up shortly. Maybe. Waiting for CES is tempting (but so are the current prices.)
Scratched by a fingernail is an immediate and huge deal-breaker.
I deal with fiberglass insulation that will strip the rust off of a knife. My 8+ is still holding strong after 3 years with only a few minor scratches that are actually around the bezel.
I was semi looking forward to the...

They’ve also released a list of unsupported games....there’s 11 games on the list.
Everything I’ve seen indicates that only the 900H is receiving VRR (I could be wrong but I do know that is has not been mentioned for the 950H). Which is absolutely ridiculous that they are not allowing it for their higher end sets. Especially given that those sets still probably feature all of...
I’ve waiting until they actually release the firmware update to allow VRR otherwise there’s really no point for me.....although I see now that the 65” price has recently been slashed from 1600 to 1000.
That’s a great price for a TV that is reviewing fairly well. Probably why there aren’t any in...
Sorry man, I saw the X in stock on bestbuy day 1 and passed. Got very lucky to snatch the PS5 from Sony.
That said if you’ve been a PSN user I’d say keep some hope if you signed up for the preorder chance. I got the email notifying me a day early and the actual queuing process was mostly pain...
Managed to get one through the PlayStation store. Queued for about 20 minutes total and it took me to the store. Showed sold out at first until I signed in and then the stock as there. Easy peasy.
Got an email as well, unfortunately I’ll be at work at the start of it. I work construction so either I’ll be busy or I’ll be on my phone and the website doesn’t play so great with mobile browsers.
I’ll try but my hopes are low
Those two certainly aren’t system sellers but they both were enjoyable experiences I thought. Well once ReCore got the atrocious load times sorted. Crackdown 3 was just another open world power fantasy but sometimes it’s nice to jump into a game where you can turn your brain off and just go for...
Hades, everyone go play it!!
It’s from Supergiant Games the makers of Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre. (Which enough for me to purchase right there). But it’s pretty damn fun, has all their usual hallmarks (good music, isometric, beautiful 2.5D) and is a bit of a roguelike, but does have a...
Digital Foundry has a video on the collection. They’re guessing at an AI solution upping some of the textures and what not.
My complaint is with Sunshine and the nozzle switch still being mapped to X but having the GameCube button icon. My brain goes to the GC controller layout where X is to...
I’ll probably go disc because I’m stupid and small brain says “more functionality>less functionality” even though physical media is now the minority for me.
I still just really like getting physical editions for certain things though. For example I have physical versions of Persona 5 and Dark...
Well they went and made Titanfall which really isn’t that like CoD.
I kinda want a campy one now. Like Inglorious Basterds.
Actually, semi related, Return to Castle Wolfenstein could do with a good ole remake.
I’ll be waiting until at least the weekend. I rely on my phone to get my ass up in the morning for work so a bit too much paranoia to update prior to working.
My problem with this collection is that it sounds like even the digital release will only be available for purchase until March 2021. I somewhat understand a limited run on physical copies but to limit digital sales just reeks of bullshit.
I think the Mario Kart RC thing allows you to...
Just for random trivia on this, a little game know as Gunpoint was a one man dev team and wildly successful on steam to the point he was able to quit his day job.
I have no clue if he’s still developing or not. This was a few years back.
I’d say my time was split. PC wise I definitely fell into what you’re saying and the benchmarking my rig trap. I still played plenty though, mostly though that was games that just ran well without troubleshooting.
Console wise it’s similar. More games just run but I still spend way too much...
What fallacy? You implied that to enjoy console graphics is childish (hence outgrowing them) and they rebutted that your platform elitism is childish and maybe you should just let people enjoy what they want to enjoy. I.E. not being a prick about people enjoying console graphics.
PCs are...
