So, my plex server is having issues. It's a Dell system. If you shut it down, it's a pain to get it to power on again. Instead of messing with it and possibly replacing oem parts, I'm just going to migrate everything to non proprietary build. Has an I3 10100.
Id like an matx or itx...
Picked up an xps 8700 dirt cheap with a 4790. Just needs a hard drive. Giving it to a friend that's still running on 775, so it'll be a huge upgrade for him for his purposes.
It has no hdd, and has an open Msata slot. I'd like to utilize it instead of running a regular sata drive.
I have an old i5 8400 I have some ideas for, but I'm only lacking a motherboard to do them. Looking for an matx board fairly cheap, not a 310 as it only supports pcie 2.0 lanes on the chipset.
Please pm me with what you have.
Looking for a decent card for an htpc I have in the living room. It currently has a 1050ti, and I'd like to upgrade it to play some games on the couch.
I'd like to keep it under $100 if possible.
Something like an rx580 or 1060 6gb. Maybe even a 1660 if the price is right.
I do have space...
Wow. I just lived in Port Hueneme for a year and worked in Camarillo. Ventura County is super nice.
I'd totally buy one of the optiplex machines if I still lived there. GLWS and free bump.
Apparently, Samsung packed the wrong power supply with it. It's supposed to be 14v 3.22a, but they supplied a 1.7a power supply. The correct one will be here today. Hopefully that fixes it.
Ok, Twitch does it too. It's definitely volume related, though. Turning the volume down definitely stops the issue.
Turning the speakers on the monitor itself down the 30 stopped it.
Quick update.
It seems to only do it with YouTube videos so far. Twitch and everything else works fine. If I turn down the YouTube volume to 75%, everything is fine.
So, I have this monitor sitting around. It's a Samsung c27f591. I had a guy ask me if I had a monitor with speakers, because he'd like to buy one. So, this one was sitting around doing nothing, and I thought it would be good for him.
I went to test the audio, and the screen keeps turning on and...
It's an i3 2100, but I'm really looking for something with sata 3 now. What are the specs of the deal mATX?
Is that a 1070, or 7010 mt?
It's an i3 2100, so sandybridge.
Just looking for a cheap mATX or ATX 1155 motherboard to use with an old i3. B75 would be preferred, or anything with a usb3 slot. Not a deal breaker if it doesn't have that, though.
Please pm me with what you have.
Well, my girlfriend just expressed the need for a NAS to store all of her streams and media, so it looks like that's the route I'm going with it. I'll just do an in home server for her to use as backup. I have very little experience with networking, it's definitely my biggest weakness. It'll be...
I think I'm going to do a socket A/462 Athlon xp build for it. I had a 2500+ Barton chip back in the day, and I'd like to play with that legendary cpu again.
Just knowing it's officially coming after being in development hell was enough. The trailer dripped the atmosphere we all know and love, too. It was a nice teaser for the old school fans. Seeing the village from SoC, throwing the bolt into the electrical anomaly, etc., the music. It just oozed...
Doesn't have to be period specific, just period compatible. I'm fine going with later model stuff, as long as drivers work. In fact, I'm a firm believer in "there's no such thing as overkill".
