Get Panasonic to make the panel rather than LG ?
> What others features would you like to see in the U2412M?
A complete set of inputs: VGA, DVI, HDMI, displayport
Bonus points for component, s-video, composite
A full glossy (like the Apple) version for those (like me) who need glossy.
An AG version for those who prefer AG.
VESA...
I've seen a lot on complaints about quality problems with
LG panels, both IPS and TN. Are there any stats on what
percentage have problems?
Does anyone know what the actual cause of tinting is?
How far off are they? Are they bad from day one or
do they wait until the return period is over?

Does anyone know what the actual cause of tinting is?
How does this tinting compensation work? I've read that
the tinting can vary across the panel.
Has tinting been observed on non-LG panels...

The PA246Q has a zero bright dot, 5 dark dot policy.

I'm beginning to wonder if there are any LG panels which
don't have a quality control problem, maybe I should avoid
all of them?
LG's IPS panels have tinting and blacklight bleed problem.
LG's TN panels have vertical lines.
Does LG make any VA panels?
How is the quality control on...

Hopefully none. An exaggerated number to show that input lag
could be bad for TV watching if it were long enough.

For watching TV, input lag shouldn't be a problem unless it is
really long. E.g. 10 minutes lag would be a real pain. :-)
This assumes they delay the audio to match. Given how many
other...

2560x1440 is the same 16:9 ratio as 1920x1080 so if you scale
the image up it will fill the screen exactly the same as
any 1080 (or 720) TV set. If the image isn't 16:9 there will
be the same size black bars as a 1080 or 720 TV would have.
You might notice scaling artifacts if the picture...

NU is the country code for Niue, so I thought it was from Niue.
If the URL had .se I would have guessed Sweden.
I tried links -g and it gave matte instead of glossy.
I then tried Firefox and got the correct list of glossy.
I couldn't tell that it was Swedish, but it looked somewhat...
The

link gives *completely* different (sometimes very wrong)
results depending on what browser you use. Firefox seems to work.
According to wikipedia, Niue is an island nation in the
South Pacific. I'm assuming the language on that web...
Anyone have thoughts on the Panasonic IPS TVs?
I saw one at Sears yesterday. The AG was fairly light.
I might be able to put up with it, but I'd have to figure
out some way to look at it awhile with something more useful
than the demo loop. I'd need to know how easy it is to read...

Ok, I'll bite. What *is* the defect rate on the LG IPS panels?
Do all models of LG IPS panels have pretty much the same defect rate?
Is the defect...

The white tint from an angle is pretty standard with IPS, right?
Along with purple from the side on some models.
I'm referring to the yellow...

Is this the correct model number? A google search for
TA2315W only finds this thread.
Does anyone else know of any other full glossy VA monitors
or TVs?
Do *all* models of LG panels...

Can someone tell me what panel (make and model number) is used
in the Dell ST2220T?
Is the panel true 8-bit or is it 6-bit plus dithering?
The panel does pretty well in the reviews, but the stand is lame
and there is no VESA mount, so I would have to kludge something up
to get it where...
No MacMall nearby, no Microcenter nearby.

photos are useful for showing the concept, but I'm interested

I'm considering the HP ZR24W, but am concerned that my eyes might not
like the anti-glare coating.
As far as I can figure out, MacMall only has 2 brick&mortar stores,
both in California. Do any other B&M stores carry the HP ZR24W?
