Looking for a IPS or VA panel monitor with light/no AG coating or a glossy panel. Not sure if there is a list any where of monitors like this or someone can suggest a few monitors.

All the VA screens use lighter AG vs current IPS panels, the BenQ MVA EW2420/30 uses Semi-Glossy coating. The only fully Glossy VA I know of is the C-PVA Eizo TA2315W touch screen which costs over 1000$.

I like glossy monitors a lot though it does not have to be glossy. Does anyone know which IPS monitors have light or minimal AG coating?

None.

If you have the money get a Hazro/ACD 27" 1440p display or wait for reviews of the Samsung PLS displays.

light ag coating for ips ?
impossible hard and grainy coating is an ips specific.

The problem with Hazro is that it is not sold in the US to the best of my knowledge.

It is possible to import, but that adds cost and also voids the warranty.

How is the shipping to US? If it's reasonable that's an incredible price for a 27" ACD like display :D

the Hazro HZ27WB is 490 pounds which is like 800 dollars. i can't imagine once you add in shipping from across the pond it would come in for that much cheaper than the 27" acd

Is this the correct model number? A google search for
TA2315W only finds this thread.

Does anyone else know of any other full glossy VA monitors
or TVs?

Do *all* models of LG panels suffer from quality control problems?
Do the LG quality control problem always show up right away
(within exchange period) or do they sometimes show up later?
The Apple 27" is beautiful, but I don't want to pay $900-1000
and get yellow tint and backlight bleed problems. The Dell
ST2220T is less expensive, but I still don't want tint and
backlight bleed problems. Plus I can't find any brick&mortar
stores that carry it.

When you sitting right in front of the ST2220, there is no IPS glow. But indeed, when you not, the screen gets a white tint with dark screens.

The st2220t doesn't suffer from backlight bleeding isues.

The white tint from an angle is pretty standard with IPS, right?
Along with purple from the side on some models.

I'm referring to the yellow, pink, etc. that some (Dell, Apple)
suffer from that is a defect. Often just part of the panel
has it.

So there are at least three of these that don't have it,
yours and the two review models. :)
The review photos are especially good backlight bleed-wise.

Is there any way you can find out the model number of the panel
the ST2220T uses? I'm looking for an answer like

LM215WF2-SLB1
LM215WF3-SDA1
LM215WF3-SLA1
LM215WF3-SLC1

The service menu might list the panel part number. I don't know what it
takes to disassemble the ST2220T. If you're not comfortable taking it apart
I understand.

I calculated $662 (plus currency exchange cost) with shipping costing $86 according to their website.

I don't know if they charge VAT for customers outside of Great Britain. I assume they wouldn't.

The service menu say's

RG7KR
M3C101
TVP
SVN980

But that's not a panel number i'm afraid.

Maybee it is under the tag "Panel V com"? (I don't know what that does).

I'm not going to disassemble the monitor, because of the warrenty, sorry.

from their homepage

# If you are ordering from outside the UK and EU, you will not be charged VAT.

Anyone have thoughts on the Panasonic IPS TVs?
I saw one at Sears yesterday. The AG was fairly light.
I might be able to put up with it, but I'd have to figure
out some way to look at it awhile with something more useful
than the demo loop. I'd need to know how easy it is to read
moderately small text.

Does Panasonic make any full glossy IPS TVs? (Small enough
to use on a desk. 32" is pushing it, I'd prefer 24-28".)

Is the defect rate on Panasonic IPS panels known?

No panasonic doesn't have full glossy IPS tv's.
Panasonic tv's, including IPS, are very reliable.

You can check out the EW2420 as mentioned by NCX. I have it and its a superb monitor. I remember seeing it online recently for a promotional $199. I paid much more for it. It's a great bargain either way. It delivers extreme performance as long as you're not looking for low response time and gaming features. You get stunning video and image quality for leisure, work or photo editting. IPS is still best fit with viewing angles and color accuracy, but for the price you pay, VAs deliver similar and sometimes more than lower end IPS models. Text is extremely sharp and clear, colors are very well differentiated. The EW2420 is also LED backlit, and best of all its got plenty of a connectivity which is another super plus. For the price you pay, you get 2 hdmi ports, 1 dvi and 1 vga port. Plus 4 USB ports on the side and speakers. The speakers are not powerful at all, but its an extra that some people like.
If you game, games like starcraft 2 look absolutely stunning on it. I sometimes play call of duty and have no problems.

Do check out the EW2430 though. That monitor looks even better, especially since they did a whole make over of the exterior design!

I bought one for 200€. Definitely a great monitor for the money if (FPS?) gaming is not a priority.

You bought the new EW2430? Was it the EW2430V or EW2430?

I have the EW2420. I am considering on getting the EW2430v because its absolutely gorgeous!

Yes, I bought the EW2430.

I guess it looks pretty good, but I'm not entirely sure what to think of the glossy bezel. It requires regular cleaning because dust is very noticeable on it.

You mean the black glossy area around the screen? Yeah I have the same thing around my laptop. I have to always clean it since it gets all dirty when ever I travel.
