I currently have the logitech x-530s which have served me well, but since I've bought a pair of grado sr-80s i see how muddled my sound has been. I'm on a pretty tight budget because i'm still going to college and tuition/books/rent are expensive It is also my 22nd birthday, so i'd like to...

Q. Is Optix acrylic non-conductive?
A. No. Optix acrylic is a conductive material. A spray coating is available if non-conductivity is needed.
so apparently i bought some acrylic and later found out on the website that it's conductive. I don't understand how a piece of plastic could be conductive, but i was wondering if anybody had any problems with the conductivity of acrylic when making a torture rack
haha as a first resort i just bend them until they break, it's not like i'm going to go back to push pins anyway. I've pretty much vowed to myself to always bolt through
ok so i've tested the vendetta 2 and hyper 212, both using a bolt through, in full open air without any extraneous airflow to skew results, and it turns out that the vendetta 2 doesn't run any cooler than the hyper 212.
so all i did was put another cooler on my cpu and now it doesn't boot. Doesn't look like i got as5 on the contracts because it looks totally clean. could it be that i put too much pressure on the ihs and broke the die itself? i'm thinking that's unlikely because i used a bolt down kit and i...
haha i did a harddrive reversal, so that the cables don't run straight back, also the 92mm on the bottom is used to pull some air over the harddrive, and it doesn't go over 35C. I did it this way because it looks cleaner, i get stronger airflow, and to keep it within non-fail prone...
well i'm using a duo and not a quad
and perpendicular to the long side of the core?
it seems like there is more contact being parallel to the long side, The perpendicular one has less contact but the other two heatpipes a tiny bit little closer. so that's the dilemma. Also airflow in my 900...
so i got the Vendetta 2 and was wondering what would be the most efficient way to mount these hdt coolers. I made some not to scale pictures on where the heatpipes would be touching and where the core is. From these it's looking like having the cooler blow out the top instead of outback would...
so i currently have the coolermaster hyper 212 and was thinking about moving to a ocz vendetta 2, so i was wondering is it worth it?
the hyper 212 weights about 100g more, but doesn't have HDT. The hyper 212 is lapped and bolted through, the vendetta will be bolted too. What do you think is the...
there have been a few cases in which, yes the heatpipes have broken, you can just use a high grit to polish it instead, then pressure mount it with a bolt through
this computer company called eprimedesigns actually sells a computer like this but uses a liquid cooling (oil) block the cpu. I'd want to see the warranty on this thing, but on the pudget it doesn't seem like a problem after a year. Also i think you can probably drain the system into a large...
