just received my monitor today. i orderd a "pixel perfect" x-star dp2710 from greensum for $340. shipping took 4 business days from s. korea to ny. box came wrapped in thin bubble wrap and was very dirty and dusty. 2 of the box's corners were slightly dented. no "pixel perfect" sticker on...
another vote for the korean 1440p here. after much deliberation, i just ordered a pixel perfect x-star from greensum on ebay for $340. should be here by the end of the week!
If it checks out i am going to grab the squaretrade warranty for ~$40. totally worth it IMO because you will can get...
umm there's another thread right here about it...there is a sharpness bug that may or may not be a deal-breaker for you. for me i think it is unacceptable...

LG 27EC33V-B

the only difference i can tell between the two is that the 2nd one has a removable...
ok so it resets to a level 6 sharpness even if the OSD says it is on a different value? that's pretty much unacceptable in my book. a monitor that i am paying $250+ for should remember settings after a power cycle.
and only after a power cycle? did you test whether or not is does the same...
tried searching the thread with no results so can anyone tell me if this lightboost trick for zero motion blur will work with the Asus VG27A?

i am guessing no, but it is 3d capable so maybe there is someway to tweak it to reduce...
was seriously considering a pair of these 27" LG IPS displays...not the exact model you have but one of the cheaper versions. would like more info on this bug to know if i can live with it or not. you say that after a power cycle it resets to 6 but it is not really 6? what number range is...
how would i go about gifting one of these bundles? i can't seem to find any info on amazon's site about it....and googling doesn't seem to bring up any relevant info either.
weird, should be easy right? what am i missing?
edit:// what? you have to use removable media and just give them a...
what are you talking about? if you bother to read the article you would see that it said in the first paragraph "...remotely exploitable security hole in Samsung Smart TVs." Seems pretty clear to me that you don't need physical access. Then towards the end they go on to say that the smart tvs...
don't know exactly, but apparently the rev1 cards where having some problems like horizontal lines or dots showing up--sometimes in BIOS right away. seems like they were overheating so it could have been the PWMs or VRMs which were switched out or upgraded. again this is only speculation...

this is the rev.2 card as the first round had some issues with overheating, etc...
there is an OC version of this card for the same price but it is the 1st revision so i would avoid it. and there are also some 1gb versions for...
thanks OP! my fileserver has been at max capacity since the floods hit last year. busted out some old 320gb ide hdds and a pci RAID card just so i could temporarily add some much needed storage to tide me over. almost pulled the trigger last week when these were $115 on amazon....glad i waited!
awesome sale....just got one of these for my wife's new build. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112337
black interior, front usb3.0 x2, front 140mm x 2, etc... for a grand total of $64. and estimated shipping is 1 day....nice. :)
showing as $159 for me and it has been that way all week. i have been stalking 6850 and 6870 prices for a while now....
this must have been a quick few hours sale. :(
You should see their offices in downtown Chicago... There was an article about it somewhere but basically they are spending like rusian mobsters. Ridiculous splurges like segways for all of the execs to ride around the office and a full indoor basketball court and other crap like that. Idiots...
newegg's black friday deals sucked....and i said nothing.
newegg's cyber monday deals sucked....and i said nothing.
now this crap encore "sale" comes around and it sucks too....i cannot remain silent.
the reason people are complaining is because newegg has lost its focus. ever since...
What are you talking about? Every time I have paid with a cc and they bring you a receipt to sign there is a little space for tip/gratuity. A little bit of math too much for you?
And cc tips get added to a server's paycheck at the end of their pay cycle. Just bc you pay with cc doesn't mean...
Basically poor management drove them into the ground... Besides a number of poor business decisions, the big thing was that they didn't listen to or support their engineers with respect to upcoming systems. Management felt they could keep pushing the same old out-dated tech, and then they...
cool stuff here...i like how the researcher guy was really really excited when talking about data from star trek...

been going on for about a month.... i think it happened when i canceled a sync that was taking a really long time by using the slider on the phone...
ummm...cameras. pen cams or clock cams or teddy bear cams are all super cheap now and usually use some type of flash as storage for easy downloading to your pc. many people who have workers come into their homes use them.
i got this tv last time it was on sale for like $425 or so. it has been great so far except for the fact that it has annoying coil whine coming from the back of it when powered on. even on mute it isn't loud enough to hear if you are sitting in front of it, but if you get up and walk past the...
what i don't understand is why is every transaction is verified over and over again? if a transaction was verified as being legit, why waste time and power to re-verify everything over and over again every single time? if a transaction was legit how is re-verifying it actually doing anything...
in the past 1-2 years i have seen at least 3 optiplex systems from the same client that all have this same problem. the office has about 4-5 more of them. I don't even need to remove the side panel anymore to know that the caps around the pwms and the cpu socket area are toast.
it's bc people should not be considered a depricable asset like a car or whatever. and it is also a way for the owner's to make more money by using shady accounting practices. it's like the oil companies who hire ex-IRS agents to be their tax attorneys so they can find all of the loopholes.
supposedly new emails have been un-earthed in which zuckerberg literally says he is going "fuck them" in regards to havardconnection.
but i want this crap to go on to the point where facebook becomes devalued, and their new settlement ends up less than the original 65 million. just read that...
